Account not approved and payments frozen — prolonged silence from support
We are a small team developing a mobile communication app. I’m sharing our experience so others can avoid wasting time and resources.
Timeline of events:
We created an account with ironSource and prepared our app.
We published the app to the store and integrated the ads. After about a week ads started showing in the app.
We contacted support and waited for approval (account status was pending). We received no reply.
About a month later we contacted them again — again a long wait. Meanwhile our app continued receiving traffic and we started to see a small amount of revenue.
Eventually we received a rejection with no clear explanation. They sent a link for more details, but that link returned 403 Forbidden and did not provide the requested information.
After that our account was suspended and payouts were frozen.
Consequences for us:
We lost several months (integration, publication, correspondence).
Small earnings that had accrued became inaccessible due to the suspension.
The moderation process felt opaque and difficult to appeal.
Advice to other publishers:
Save all logs, screenshots and correspondence — you will need them for appeals.
Ask your account manager for written confirmation of requirements and policies before integration.
If problems occur, insist on concrete evidence (timestamps, IP addresses, device IDs) and request those details from support.
We do not want to discredit the company — we only want to warn that the moderation in our case was not transparent and cost our small team significant time and resources. If anyone has a similar experience, please share — collective knowledge helps everyone handle these situations better.

They make the worst intrusive bloatware for Samsung. Appcloud is a useless app that can't be removed from my Samsung Galaxy phone, and it just downloads crapware by itself.

My experience using this has been awful. I have paid in money and not managed to get a single advert to run as they keep tellimg me my mmp settings are wrong. I keep showing them those and asking for a call or a quick meet to discuss the settings and getting going. Their respoce is no, your on your own; we have your money.

As a long-time, loyal user and someone who has participated in Tapjoy’s panel discussions multiple times, I am deeply troubled by this situation.
I’ve been a Tapjoy user since 2019, enjoying the platform for the incentive offers on games like Design Home. Over the years, I’ve received positive feedback from Tapjoy, including a letter in 2019 or 2020 from your team, personally praising my participation and contributions as a member of the user panel focus group. I’ve always valued that acknowledgment, which is why this sudden action against my account feels so disheartening.
As a woman over 60 who enjoys using Tapjoy to complete offers for games at a good value, I’ve invested considerable time and money in the platform. On October 18, I logged into Tapjoy to check my account after a friend encountered issues with hers. To my shock, I found that my own offer wall had been disabled, despite my last activity being on September 1. I immediately reached out for an explanation but was met with dismissive responses, claiming that I had been warned previously—yet, I have received no such communication or record of any warnings. This feels unreliable and unfair.
Back in 2020, I had sought clarification from a Tapjoy manager, Jinah Haytko, about several rules regarding the platform. I was explicitly told via email that it was permissible to redeem game offers on multiple devices (phone, iPad, Android), and that there was no issue with using multiple email addresses to complete offers. At that time, I was assured that repeating offers as they reappeared on the offer wall was also fine. Now, I’m reading conflicting information online, and it’s honestly unclear what is considered a violation of the Terms of Service.
It seems overly harsh to assume that players will log onto the website, carefully read through the fine print of the Terms of Service (TOS), and fully grasp every nuance of what they’ve read. The terms should be simplified and listed clearly on the offer page, such as: “You cannot repeat this offer.” Even better, why would an offer that has already been completed by a player show up again on their offer page? Having the temptation there leads to unintentional mistakes.
This oversight is compounded by the dopamine and endorphin rush that happens during gaming events, where players are eager to get virtual currency at a value. It’s like finding a great sale on your favorite item—you’re not going to pause, go to a website, and carefully read the fine print of the TOS. You’re going to grab your credit card and see how many items you can afford. Tapjoy seems to miss this point entirely. People on the platform are not shopping for the items advertised; they are looking for the best value that yields in-game currency. Players are doing offers to get currency, not randomly shopping. So, if they rush, get caught up in the moment, and make mistakes, that should not automatically be viewed as blatant fraud or a willful decision to ignore the TOS.
I don’t believe Tapjoy (now part of ironSource) has considered the context in which people use the platform. It’s not that players are trying to be deceitful; many of us simply get caught up in the excitement and make mistakes. By banning accounts without any explanation or discussion, it feels like Tapjoy is ignoring the reality of how people engage with these offers, which, frankly, borders on predatory practices. This approach leaves customers feeling like Tapjoy doesn’t care about them, and it overlooks the core motivation behind why players participate in Tapjoy offers.
I am humbly asking for a clear explanation of where I may have gone wrong, when (if any) warnings were issued, and to reinstate my account. I assure you that I have no intention of violating any rules, and I want to continue using Tapjoy in full compliance. With a better understanding of what occurred, I can move forward with this information and continue to enjoy the platform.
Additionally, I would appreciate the opportunity for a conversation about how Tapjoy can improve communication and transparency with its users. I believe there are several insights I can offer based on my experience that would benefit both Tapjoy and its community.

Well any company that associates with tab Joy is getting one star from me I have tried over and over again to submit support tickets etc to tap Joy because I haven't been credited with what I've accomplished I went to the iron source website and all they do is bring run u in circles and bring you to computer automated crap.. and it's just frustrating.. I'll just never use either one of these companies again and I suggest anybody that's reading this doesn't either

So, I contacted them and state the issue. And wow!! They response to me and bout an hour they give me the tickets. Thank youu so much for the fast response 🫶
