Terrible experience
Terrible experience. They collected three items and when the invoice came there were only 2 on there. When I called they insisted that I hadn’t sent the skirt part of my Alexander McQueen suit. I’m trying to resolve this issue they insisted I’d never sent the item and were completely incontactable via email or chat. I had to call them 8 times and even then it wasn’t resolved. In the end I gave up and paid for the dry cleaning of the other 2 items just to get my stuff back. The skirt had been in there the whole time and they’d never reached out to let me know it had been found. The Burberry coat that I sent came back not very clean like it hadn’t even been.

Do not use this service.
Having been a loyal customer for over five years, I recently closed my account after three negative experiences in two months.
The final straw occurred when a brand-new dress was returned with damaged sleeves. When I submitted photos, ihateironing denied liability, claiming the damage was pre-existing and questioning my integrity. Only after I challenged this and stated I was closing my account did they “re-examine” the garment and admit a noticeable change had occurred during cleaning.
I should not have had to threaten to leave to receive basic accountability. The sharp decline in service and customer care is deeply disappointing. Having lost complete faith in ihateironing, I retrieved my dress and am paying an independent dressmaker out of pocket to salvage it. I will never use their service again.

Have had an awful experience with the uk service. 3 out of 4 cream/white items came back with black marks all over them (how on earth this wasn’t checked amazes me.) When they tried to rectify the issue, all 3 items came back looking like they had been through a washing machine, were out of shape and felt awful. This happened on the 5th September and they are still refusing to provide me with any compensation other than a refund for the cleaning!?

Good, reliable and honest. When I sent a delicate item, they messaged me asking me if I still wanted the piece to get cleaned as the charge would be more for very delicate materials. I said no, and they sent the piece back, and got my regular dry cleaning items in great condition.

Do not recommend and will never use again
Meant to be an easy, quick experience. They took my clothes and stained my top - I had to fight for them to clean it. The entire process took over a week. In this time, there were multiple issues with picking up and delivering my clothing and I spent so much time on the phone to customer support. They are friendly but ultimately kept making mistakes with my items - which are all precious! I will never use this service again with how long it took me to resolve the issues they caused

1 star: Held my clothes hostage over £30 during a bank outage
This was my first time using I Hate Ironing, and it will be my last.
When my order was due, Revolut was down worldwide and my payment couldn't go through. This was a known outage affecting millions of people, nothing to do with me. I offered to pay as soon as the bank was back online. The bill was about £30.
Instead of agreeing to that, they refused to release my clothes (which, as it tends to happen with business attire, I really needed asap) until they had the money. No grace period, no pay-on-delivery.
Any business can have a payment fail on them. What matters is how they treat a customer when it happens. I Hate Ironing showed they won't trust a customer even for a day, so I won't be trusting them with my clothes.
