I ordered two dress suit items from Houseof ceylan. One of the skirts on the suit had a stain, as though it had been preworn. Both of the suits were ujnprofessionally stitched. The items I received look very little like the advertised items. They are very poorly sewn. I ordered this exact same item from Temu. The Temu item was unprofessionally sewn and also looked very little like what was advertised. When I saw this same item on house of Ceylan, I thought it had to be the real thing, so I ordered it. It was the exact same item with the same poor quality and unprofessional construction. The only difference was the cost. I paid $27.00 for the Temu suit, and $85.00 for the house of ceylon suit.
It has been a month and there is still no resolution. They want to charge me a return fee and a portion of the cost for preworn, stained, unprofessionally sewn items. I have been corresponding with them, but they are not straightforward and refuse, by way of omission and commission, to refund the monies and receive their low quality, preworn clothing back.

I ordered a faux fux jacket and I decided I wanted to return the item because it did not the item because it was not flattering. There was a suggested restocking fee of $20, which I agreed to. The mgr. Shana on 5/9/26 who tried to negotiate a 20% refund and for me to keep the item. I told her absolutely not. She agreed to send me a return label or QR code. To date 5/13/26, I have not been able to contact them on the phone, nor are they responding to my emails.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS VENDOR IT IS A SCAM. IF THEY MAKE RIGHT ON MY RETURN, I WILL COME BACK TO THIS SITE AND LET YOU KNOW.

Company lies about their return policies. Not 100% guarantee. They pay games on sending you return info and phone calls. Never buy from them.

I purchased a leather bag and received a fake piece of plastic ! Reaching out to costumer service for 10 days and asking for a return label and they keep sending me wired messages. PEOPLE DONT BUY FROM THEM !!!!!

I placed an order with this company on February 1, 2026 for an event on February 26th. The item never arrived before the event, making the purchase completely useless. I had contacted the company several times asking for updates and repeatedly requested to cancel the order because it was obvious they were not going to deliver it on time. They refused to cancel the order and offered no real help.

More than TWO MONTHS later, the item finally arrived — and it was absolute garbage. The product looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The quality was extremely poor, cheap-looking, and completely misrepresented.

I immediately contacted the company again and was told that I could NOT return the item, despite the fact that it arrived months late and was nothing like what I paid for. They refused to take any responsibility for the delay or the misleading product.

This company had no problem taking my money, but completely failed when it came to delivering the product advertised or providing even basic customer service. Between the outrageous shipping delay, deceptive advertising, terrible product quality, and refusal to allow a return, this was one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve ever had.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Buyers beware —this company is a scam!!

The dress I ordered and received looked nothing like the model wearing it. I contacted Houseofceylan to start a return online. The company told me they would get back to me very soon. I contacted them 3 times and called twice. They told me they wanted me to use store credit for another item and to just keep the dress. I repeately asked for a refund per their website instructions online and have not heard back from them. This company is a SCAM! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! Thank goodnes my credit card company refunded my disputed purchase.

I placed my order January 25th. without reading the reviews and it is now April 30th and I still don't have my winter clothes!!! I have written several times for a refund because I don't want the winter clothes now and they don't reply!! DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I will never buy from a company that looks great without reading the reviews!!!!!

Worst company and merchandise I've seen. The craftsmanship is extremely poor.

I placed an order on 4/6 and today is 4/24 and still do not have it. Each time I asked how long for delivery, no one answers, but says thank you for your patience and they will check into it and let me know. What is there to say owner of this store except that you have a failed service. I will not recommend or order anything from this outfit again.

I suggest avoiding House of Ceylan.

I wanted to return some items because they were of poor quality and didn’t fit properly, but the company wasn't helpful. They wouldn’t give me clear instructions for returning the items and kept offering store credit or only partial refunds.

They kept delaying the process, never sent a return label, and insisted on calling me even though I asked to handle everything by email.

Instead of giving me a full refund for the $140 I paid, they only offered $56 in store credit and a partial refund. They avoid giving full refunds.

I reported this to the Better Business Bureau. Their registered address displayed on their website doesn’t exist, and the information they list is fake. It turns out they are a fake company in China. Likewise, for avelise.com. As a result, on April 26, 2026, I agreed to accept the partial refund, but I still haven’t received anything, and they’re ignoring me. I will contact my bank to see what I can do.

They delayed the process several times, did not send a return label, and insisted on phone calls even though I asked to communicate by email only.

They only offered me $56 store credit and a partial refund instead of refunding the full $140 I paid.

I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau.

It seems like they are trying to avoid giving full refunds. I suggest not buying from this company.

Scam, scam scam, do not waste your money or time. The item I recieve while somewhat like the item looks on the website is different colours and different print. The material is horrendous. When I contacted about return they sent me 3 different emails offering different strategies and Small increasing increments to encourage me to keep the item. After the third email when I said I still wanted to return the item they then asked for my phone number for someone to call me. What a scam! They messed with the wrong person. They can keep their 20% restocking fee, and Ill pay to ship the air Balloon dress they shipped instead of the elegant photo online and lesson learned. Dont waste your money or time because they will take up days and hours of your time just trying to return a simple item. You scammed me once but never again.

Sizing completely way out of whack- the claim they pride themselves in sizing up- when you order a 2XL because you usually fit a L you don’t expect to fit only my mother who wears a S.
Further - if you look up the definition of a ‘sweater’- needs to be knit or crochet- not flattened pressed polyester. No stitch or crochet in sight. What a joke! And even funnier is their return policy- our city is going to have the best dressed homeless people around. I will make sure they give a nod to House of Ceylan!

My jacket arrived, quality was awful. I ordered a large which I normally buy and even though I measured with their sizes, their jacket was far to tight.
I asked for a refund but they wouldn't then i asked to exchange it for a larger size and I would pay for return postage but they would not accommodate it either. I Won't be shopping with these guys again. Very disappointed. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS.
