We are just moving into our new property and Adam Key called to assist me with home insurance he was absolutely amazing went through everything with me , made it sound simple and was easy to talk to and understand , he was friendly and if I need anything I will definitely call him again
I 100% recommend them they as one of the points I found good is you don’t get charged to make a change as some or most other companies do they weren’t extremely expensive either and the cover is excellent

I called regarding clarity on the changes of my policy, the operator I spoken to wad Enoch Biney and not only was he informative, he was very professional with a calm demeanour over the phone.

Poor workflow in the Homelet Portal
My student son's rental agent is using the Homelet portal for onboarding checks and it is the most poorly designed tenant onboarding platform that I have ever come across. For his house-share there are 6 tenants and 6 guarantors. My son and I could see when our own checks were complete, but there was no visibility of the progress for the other parties. We were completely reliant on the estate agent to send out emails listing the missing information (they only did that intermittently, so we had to prod them for updates). Even then the mixed communication channels meant some of the parties got confused about whether they should be replying to the emails with the information attached or uploading it to the portal, which further slowed things down.
When all the checks were eventually complete, all parties were asked to sign the agreement at the same time. This was poor workflow, because the tenants couldn't actually physically sign until all the guarantors had signed. Although it was mentioned in the prompt, they were confused about it. Even when all the guarantors had signed, the tenants received no further prompt to sign the contract, so how were they supposed to know? It was also impossible to track who hadn't signed because as soon as you've signed you lose access to the partially signed document and don't see the other signatures that have been added.

Long tedious checks
Long tedious checks, full of irrelevant questions.
Instead, they should have focused in the basics: a) Do you have enough money to pay the rent? b) Do you have your visa/citizenship/permanent status/etc?
And by the end of the process they also used the occasion to try to sell you insurance by trying to trick you into thinking it's mandatory or you wouldn't get the rent, or something. Predating on the vulnerable.
