Hero Journey Club Arvostelua 

I just really enjoy the low pressure safe space that is created in these sessions. I feel like I can show up however I am feeling that day and I'll be welcomed without judgement. The topics we discuss and insights from the facilitator and fellow journeyers can be really helpful.

I’ve loved this group since I started in May 2023. I’ve gained a support system through my team, a safe space to discuss hardships, and also learn coping skills.

It feels like a safe space and I love that I’m encouraged to do something chill in the background. Playing something not too distracting like animal crossing helps me stay focused

we were all very supportive of one another and asked how we were as if our guide was there which she was in spirit if that makes sense :) Get feeling better Dina!

The therapist and group that I was assigned to when I joined Hero Journey Club all share similar perspective and experience to me, which makes me feel welcome and heard every time I attend. I have never been one for one-on-one therapy because I find talking about my feelings a little uncomfortable, but it becomes much more bearable with a group to bounce my thoughts off of. Being able to indulge in a bit of gameplay while I unwind makes Hero Journey Club worth it each time.

They kicked me out of their discord bc I told them I was disabled and couldn't afford every single week. So, they refunded me and basically told me to come back when I can afford it. Do not recommend. Discrimination at its finest. Edit: they don't even deny that they kicked me out for this reason. Actually amazing. Screw yall if you think discrimination is okay and trying to justify it. Bye.

My Group Makes Me Feel Safe. They're a great group of guys, I can talk about anything without feeling judged, and our Guide does his level best to offer suggestions to help us on our personal Journeys.

This has been really helpful on top of working with my therapist!

Always making people feel welcome and not forgotten about. Theres a lot of things I forget I brought up previously or that we moved on from for a moment and then circled back around to as opposed to just ending the topic unresolved. I've been feeling a lot better and looking forward to speaking with the group every week.

She was helping me to deal with automatic thoughts so much!

It’s been so great to have an outlet every week to talk about life, mental health struggles, and anything else with people who are going through something similar and who care. Our guide is really great and always offers a kind perspective. We are a group of 4 usually and it’s just enough time for everyone to share and have the other group member and guide offer advice and support. Also we play cute games together sometimes :)

They were fun to speak with and do activities with, as well as to chill and vibe with.

My journey guide is just incredible and I look forward to talking with them every week. I have had a lot of mixed experiences with therapy and have been very lucky in the group I was matched with. I only wish I could find someone as amazing for one on one therapy.

Playing a joint silly game takes my mind off of my troubles and gets me out of my own head. I can get perspective on my problems that way or at least lay them down for a little while. I felt lighter after this session.

I look forward to my sessions every week and love hanging out with the community between sessions. HJC has become such a high point in my week and has given me a group of friends that I check in with and validate my feelings. I can't tell enough people about how much I love HJC!

I had participated in an online IOP and it was not a relaxing experience. It was anxiety inducing in fact. This group provides baseline group therapy without being preachy and zealous at all.

These chats are a great capstone to my week. It helps me to vocalize things that are getting to me, while also celebrating the good things that happen as well.

Edit: Something else that hasn’t been done by this company is a formal apology to all affected members that states they understand the trauma this has potentially left them. Multiple group members have expressed to each other that we are really torn up about this. They really can’t think that they’d vaguely touch on an arrest and us not dig to find out what it was.
I hate that we were left with more trauma than what we came with.

My therapist was arrested on two counts of possession of child pornography on May 28th, 2023. He started working for HJC in August of 2023. Why this wasn’t caught, I don’t know.
I am disgusted that I spent 8 months of my life telling him deeply personal things.
I’m not sure HJC vets their guides appropriately.

I love the Atmosphere and hoping it leads to deeper interactions long term friendships and self discovery. It is missing something but I’m not sure what.
