Used for less than a week because I could never get my fax to the IRS to send. I spent the time following all the "suggestions" to fix the issue sent to me from customer support, only for absolutely nothing to change. I decided instead of screen recording and sending the videos to customer support as they suggested if nothing else had worked, that surely I could spend the time finding another company that could actually send the fax in the same amount of time. Sure enough I switched to My fax, and after a few minutes of set up, I was able to send my fax no issue and received a confirmation almost immediately. Do not waste your time with HelloFax, they are more like HelloFail.

I tried other companies to send a fax and I kept receiving emails stating the line was busy and I could not get a refund I went on to Hellofax and it was sent within 2 mins great experience
Fax with SSN confirmation sent via email
I sent a FAX that had my SSN on it. There are boxes to click whether you want confirmation sent via email, and I clicked "no". In spite of that, I received confirmation with the scan attached along with my SSN to my email.
This company is absolute TRASH
My place of work was a client of HelloFax from Nov. 9, 2021 to July 19, 2023. During that period, we experienced the following issues:
-In every fax received or confirmation, they would display a warning that the credit card on file had expired.
I contacted them and requested that they:
1) not display that message in faxes of regular non-admin users.
2) fix their system because the credit card on file had not expired, hence why they could continue to charge it.
They refused both requests.
-logging into their webapp was always problematic.
-Their customer support would ignore or respond more than a day later, even if the issue was urgent.
-And the final straw was that they deleted all telephone numbers, team members, and invoices from account for non-payment.
I contacted them to re-instate the account, they said they would inquire about the phone numbers and get to me. 2 or 3 days later, they said they could port the numbers back in, but at a cost of $60 per telephone number.
I asked for the past 3 invoices, and they said they could only provide them if I upgrade my account to a paid subscription.
-there may have been one or two more issues that I am forgetting at the moment.
Stay away from this company.
Don't waste your time, they are terrible to deal with.
I signed up for the 1 month free, tested one fax, and realized their service was not a match for our needs 30 days later they billed my credit card for a year. You can't get them on the phone and I would bet they use this tactic on a lot of customers. We use Clearfly.net which is so much better in service and price.

Until now an excellent service, but they switched to dropbox and the service is AWFUL - no tech support, no sales support, phone line is abysmal - they just dont care to have you as a customer. They seem to have forgotten they are not the only e-fax service available. I was a satisfied customer for 4 years. I now tried to UPGRADE my plan and it was a nightmarish experience - who makes it a nightmare to upgrade? The billing website did not work properly and there is no way to get a human to speak to, and they changed my account without clear notice so it interrupted my business. I sent multiple requests for support and got NOTHING.
Deceptive, hidden costs
Well, I would like to give it negative stars. Was charged $180 USD for 30 pages of fax. Took approximately 3 hours to send, and I GUESS those long distance charges really add up, although their invoice does not break down costs. Surprise, surprise. When on the site, you are CONTINUALLY prompted to upgrade your service, which I didn't do. When you do (eventually) find your account information on the site, you will find next to no info. I will spend 3 hours waiting to get through to their "customer service" reps, but I hold little hope of getting any of my cash back.

Fax has has not been sent. I’ve been charged with fee anyway. I can’t delete my account nor remove my card. Support service no longer answer to my emails. Would you think to a worse service?
I closed my HelloFax account
I closed my HelloFax account. Twice. The website will no longer even allow me to sign in. However, they continue to charge my card every month. I have tried to contact them with no luck. I am going to have to cancel my credit card so they no longer have access to it - which will negatively impact me credit. They are a TERRIBLE company!!!!!

I have sent three faxes and I know I have the correct fax number and each time they've failed. I had to email them to get my refund but still haven't heard back. Turns out...I then signed up for efax and my transmission was successful. I am never using hellofax again. Plus the fact that my faxes sat in queue for like three hours and failed!
Don't waste your money!
Do yourself a favor and find a different company! They aren't worth 1 cent! They have no customer support! There's no phone number. You have to email them. It takes them forever to respond. I've contacted them twice. The response I got from the first issue of my file not uploading was a joke. I told them in my original email that the file was a PDF with a size of 16.8 mb. They're response was to tell me what files can be uploaded with PDF being 1 of them with a maximum size of 40 mb. What kind of response is that? Plus it took 2 days to receive a response. She obviously didn't even read my entire email that was just 3 short sentences! I never did get an actual response as to why my file wouldn't upload. The second one I haven't even gotten a response to and it's been 4 days. I've even sent 2 follow ups! Save yourself a headache and spend your money elsewhere.

Hello Fax was great when we first signed up.
However, over the past several weeks we have been having major issues with sending faxes. When we attach the documents and send the fax only sends with the cover page. The support offered for this service is horrendous. Had to wait over 2 business days for an email response and they do not even offer chat or phone support. They were unable to even detect what the issue was and were extremely unhelpful. Unfortunately will have to switch our service elsewhere.

I wrote a long review that disappeared because I hit the wrong computer key, I guess. Hello Fax has no customer support. Zendesk is for businesses and their email help is a joke - literally!!! You email re: help issues and they email back cheery replies about getting back to you. I have not heard from them yet!!! You email that you want to drop their service (and therefore, stop them from dinging your card monthly) and they ignore you. PC made a bad editor's choice on this one!!!
Attempted to send fax
Attempted to send fax. Says fax "sent" though no time did I get an email notification like promised. Yes, I checked my junk mail. faxes are my history as "sent." I was never charged for them-- red flag-- and surprise! they were never received. Worst part is, I tried calling hellofax twice-- rings and rings. I sent two messages to customer support through the website over the course of 5 days, no response. All in a all a 0/10 experience.

Il s'agit à l'évidence d'une tentative d'arnaque, car ces gens n'ont certainement reçu aucun fax pour nous, d'ailleurs nous avons déjà un service de fax sans papier qui fonctionne très bien avec notre fournisseur de téléphonie (Keyyo), qui ne coûte rien en réception (inclus dans le forfait illimité voix), et en envoi de fax c'est à 1c/min.
Qui peut donc faire confiance à des menteurs pareils ? Et j'ai l'impression que eFax c'est les mêmes, je me trompe ?

From the technological point of view, the service seems to work well (even though I only tried it once). The rest - left me with an impression that I was dealing with crooks.
The company promises to give you 5 free pages, which was exactly the number of pages I was sending in my first fax, but it turned out that HelloFax gets quite creative with math when it comes to billing. They counted 10 (!!!) pages and of course, charged me for the "free" fax. I contacted the support on the issue, but never got any response from them.
The company also claims to give you 5 free pages for sharing their ads on Facebook, which in practice also turned out to be a joke.
