The scaffolders very pleasant and work around my plants to not damage them! The men fitting the solar panels very good and pleasant and the electrician done an excellent job. Very pleased with the running daily running costs!

**Avoid Home Comfort Enterprises Ltd at all costs.**

Our experience left us feeling completely unable to trust this company. The promises made during the sales process bore little resemblance to what was ultimately offered, and we only discovered this after paying an upfront fee. Based on our experience, I would not recommend doing business with them and would strongly encourage anyone considering them to get detailed written quotes from several other installers before committing to anything.

Nigel, the salesperson, assured both me and my partner that he could provide a system capable of covering the energy usage of our entire home for around £8,000. When I questioned whether there was likely to be any significant increase after the survey, he explicitly told us it would "never be more than a few hundred pounds" over that figure.

Based on those assurances, we paid the initial deposit and booked the survey.

When the engineer visited, he was excellent: professional, knowledgeable and honest. Unfortunately, the quote that followed was over £13,000, more than £5,000 above what had been promised.

When I challenged this enormous difference, instead of explaining why the original estimate had been so inaccurate, I was sent a revised £8,000 quotation. The problem was that this cheaper system was nowhere near what Nigel had originally promised. It simply did not provide the level of coverage that had been used to persuade us to pay the deposit in the first place.

The sales process felt like we were being told what we wanted to hear in order to secure the booking, only for the reality to be very different afterwards.

What made matters worse was Nigel's attitude towards his own staff.

During our meeting, he phoned his secretary on speaker in front of us and said he wasn't going to pay her £100 booking fee because she had written the wrong address down. He then laughed and acted as though it was a joke. It was awkward and uncomfortable to witness.

He also described her as, "She's a Pakistani lady, but really good and very loyal to me." I genuinely had no idea why her nationality was relevant.

When I complimented the engineer who carried out the survey, Nigel replied that the engineer "used to own his own businesses, but just couldn't make them work. Some people just don't have it in them."

Those comments left a very poor impression and came across as unnecessarily dismissive of his own colleagues.

Ironically, the engineer was the one person in the whole process who inspired confidence.

Overall, the promises made to secure our business did not match the reality of what was offered after we had paid, and Nigel's behaviour throughout left us with no confidence in either him or the company. We walked away feeling misled and would not recommend Home Comfort Enterprises Ltd to anyone.

After several sales driven Solar companies coming through the door, I tried the National Energy who provided Nigel at Home comforts who advised our requirements were affordable and then arranged a survey, quote and install seamlessly. So far very happy and would recommend Nigel.

Nigel provided a very organised and comprehensive service from start to finish. The scaffolding was erected quickly and the installation was professionally completed. A friendly bunch of tradespeople who I will most definitely be recommending without no hesitation. Thanks to the whole team for a great experience ☺️

We were able to keep in contact via WhatsApp with the office when we had any questions, which were answered quickly.
At completion of the install all rubbish and packaging was removed and property was left clean and tidy.

I am a single parent and have struggled quite a lot in life. All I wanted was to save on electricity. Nigel promised me quite a lot. He did say that he will install 10 panels in my house but decided that 9 are more than enough. He never refunded me for that panel which was missing. He never gave me an explanation as to why this is. The quote never changed,
The system never really worked. I had to do so much overtime to pay him. He sent few people in what he calls Electronic Engineers at my place to sort out those issues. They were never really engineers. To become an electronic engineer, one has to go to university for at least 3 years. The so called engineers came to my house. They were late and not on time. I emailed/texted Home Comfort staff non stop on WhatsApp, amongst others communication mediums. I called them but they could never deal with any issues. They kept referring me to Hanchess, which is the actual battery/inverter company. When I called Hanchess, they were laughing and told me that they have never really received a call from a client but in fact it is the real installers who have to deal with it. I have already paid my dues to Home Comfort. Off late, Nigel has disconnected my Solar System just like that. It is so so sad. I do not owe him any money. I hope he will have it reconnected. Under no circumstances, please do not book this company. You will not get any benefits because Home Comfort Enterprises controls you App and everything. They want you money and that's all.

I found HCE via an internet enquiry as power providers had given limited or poor explanations of SolarPower Systems. Nigel came to our house and provided a very comprehensive explanation of Solar, Inverters, Batteries and how they can best be used to full effect. There were a few complications syncing the system with an old EV charger, however the engineer from Ensmart, Nigel put us in contact with, was brilliant and had the full system up and running in just a few days. The system is performing well and I would use HCE for further home efficiency improvements in the future.

We chose Home comfort enterprises Ltd because they done Home visits not over the phone like some companies. Nigel and the team are very knowledgeable and answered any questions. And it was nice to have a face on communication. Any problems or concerns we had was sorted straight away. The workmen were very polite and tidy. Nigel was the first person who came to discuss solar panels with us, and from the very beginning he was kind, friendly, and approachable. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and made sure we understood the whole process, answering all of our questions.

These days, it often feels like people just want to make a sale, but Nigel was different. He genuinely cared about helping us make the right decision, with no pressure at all.

The installation involved removing old panels and fitting new ones with a battery. Home Comfort took a lot of trouble finding ways to have the old panels collected and recycled and also with research to find a new way of heating my hot water from solar.
All the people working on the system were friendly efficient and took trouble clearing up after their work. Very pleased with the service and would recommend Home Comfort.

Our situation was quite tricky with existing solar hot water panels to come off, an existing solar system on the garage and multiple shading issues - the solution was well engineered and nicely installed with the pigeon mesh on the panels neatly fitted. Scaffolding was used, rather than doing the installation off ladders, which led to a safer and better installation - there is enough power to power the house and car on cloudy days in summer time, when winter comes, I'll be adding to the battery charge with cheap rate overnight electricity. TIP: Get as many panels as will fit; the added cost of extra panels is relatively small over the fixed costs, such as scaffolding, etc., so this will provide the best return for your investment. Am very happy with the system. :)

We spoke to several different co.panies but Nigel gained our trust. He is not only very knowledgeable but also great at his job and made us feel very at ease.
The work has now all been done and we are super happy.

Had a lot of conversations with salespeople while looking to get solar installed, and Nigel was the only one who properly explained how the system worked and was able to answer my questions without having to “check with someone else”, giving me confidence in his product.

He adapted the design to suit our requirements and arranged for an upgrade to our panels. Nigel also organised for the scaffolding to be erected earlier to accommodate our roof cleaner before installation.

There was some confusion on the day of installation due to incorrect advice from the surveyor, but the installation team were able to offer solutions on the day and did a great job adapting things to provide a very neat alternative.

Nigel was always very responsive throughout the whole process, making it an absolute pleasure dealing with him and the team.

As novices,we have trawled the Internet, for quotes in solar energy, from big companies to local companies. We got three quotes, but no one explained, what we would be getting for our money better than Nigel. Nigel is a character, a bit like marmite, you either love him or hate him. He sat us down and explained everything in plain simple English. He walked us through what we would require from the amount of panels to the inverter and what size battery. Other companies had recommended a smaller size battery and other ancillaries, but when explained what each piece of equipment does you soon see, that you could be wasting loads of money on things that you would very rarely use. HCE were not the cheapest and were definitely not the dearest, we see it as value for money. The whole team were professional, from the scaffolders to the engineers, we had a few hiccups but were quickly resolved. Since installation we are just glued to the app to see how much energy we are producing and using. Well done to Nigel and his team and we would highly recommend.

Great team of scaffolders and installers. A few hiccups with the app but this can be resolved Im sure. Really pleased with the warranty/ guarantees, the certification etc has left me reassured that the products were of great quality.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you go with home comfort.

Nigel comes across as a great sales person and knowledgeable. HOWEVER he just a sly sales person.
annoyingly he swindled me into putting a deposit down with him, he only offered me a solar system compared to Octopus quote, once i got another quote from a different company he instantly upgraded my solar system package.
question is why wasn't this offered in the first place??

Once I said to him I was going ahead with the other company for my Solar panels he got very hostile and refused to refund my deposit of £300.
I really think this is dishonourable as it clearly states in his contract that I'm intitled to a full refund. luckily I paid via Amex, so I opened a dispute with them and was able to get my refund.
If he gave my refund I wouldn't have left a bad review.
Clearly he does something right as he has so many good reviews, however this experience has made getting solar panels for my home bittersweet.

I just feel like you should know who your getting into business with.

My advise get a few quotes and go with the best one, don't stick to one and certainly let Nigel provide you with a quote without putting a deposit down.

I feel like i have to share this experience as it wasn't nice and made me to extra running around for my own money.
