I attended the Hornsby store on 6th March. I require all new furniture for my new home.
Ting spent a long time helping with choosing a bed and making sure I had the right mattress and base that suits me as well as the new house.
She then introduced me to KC in the furniture department who also spent a long time going through lounges and dining tables to suit the new home. She spent time looking at options and checking these options and availability on the system. I am so grateful to both of them and their assistance. Thank you

I ordered a small appliance from Harvey Norman Online in January, only to receive an email the following day to say it was out of stock and would be delayed 3 weeks. This wasn't advertised on their website as not available. 6 weeks later, I still have not received my item. I have had to follow this up so many times. This was a gift! I will never purchase anything from Harvey Norman again.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Purchased a couple of items just over 18 months ago. One got lost in transit and customer service wouldn’t assist. The other two have been terrible products and customer service don’t assist. Recently had Shark vacuum die once again contacted them asking if it was still under warranty as I can’t locate information in any of their emails. Continuously got response to go in store THEN they told me they were asking a fulfillment company if order been sent!!! Alexis, I ordered it 2024 it’s been sent!!!!! 🥴😂🫣 either customer service is just all AI generated useless responses now or they literally have someone just there saying “go in store”.

I went into HARVEY NORMAN at Lake Haven NSW on Sunday 22/02/26. I was approached in a pleasant manner by a young man Josh Gardner. I explained to Josh I was interested in purchasing a TV. Josh was not pushy he took the time to explain things to me. I purchased a TV and was happy to add on to my purchase
Josh gave me his card and told me to contact him should I have any concerns. (I am 65yrs of age and still living back in the day tech is not my thing)
After paying for my items I go to your Customer Pickup area...WOW What a team you have out the back . The two amazing superstars managed to fit my TV and other purchased items into my small car, they did not give up, we had headrests off seats laid back to the floor all because I really wanted to take it home today
It was hot, they were busy but they didn't give up. I got everything home athe two guys even explained to me the best way for me to take the TV etc out and showed me how to put the headrests back on

The most terrible online shopping experience EVER.
I have purchased 2 MacBooks - more than $4k value.
At the moment of the payment, I insert my bank account and suddenly, the payment apparently wasn’t successful - however, the money has been taken out of the bank account AND the gift cards used.
So now, I need to wait 5 business days ONLY to have the gift cards back and re-make a purchase.
No-one could help, Customer Service completely useless and the team was absolutely rude via email.

I was going to buy a bed but found the salesperson very rigid. I asked about pick up as I didn’t want to get it in rain .. well you’ll have to give us 24 hours notice to dismantle bed(as it was a discontinued item and I was buying floor stock , could this not be dismantled and left waiting for me) so having to give the 24hours notice, lack of packing(nothing could be offered) and most of all attitude I changed my mind…and walked out
Rude and disrespectful stuff
Very disappointed with my experience at Harvey Norman – Harvey Norman Liverpool.
Once an issue arose with a faulty refrigerator, the service completely changed. Instead of taking responsibility and assisting properly, the store distanced themselves from the problem in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner.
Phone calls were ended abruptly while I was still seeking assistance, and staff were rude when answering basic questions. There was no ownership of the issue, no clear communication, and no urgency shown, even though my family has been left without a working refrigerator for weeks.
I was informed that the store manager, Daniel, would personally handle the matter. However, despite leaving multiple messages and sending emails, I received no response at all. The complete lack of follow-up and accountability has been extremely disappointing.
It feels like once payment is made, customer support becomes dismissive and unhelpful. I expected much better from a major retailer.
If you are considering purchasing from this store, be aware that if something goes wrong, you may struggle to receive proper support.

Product is fine. HN online customer service is not! The product arrived with the package opened (see photo below). Contacted customer service and they said "Unfortunately, some handling incidents during transit are beyond our control.". I paid for a new unopened item, I should get a new unopened item. Never buying from HN online again.
I also submitted this review to their website but they refused to publish. Apparently they only publish positive reviews.

Online support is subpar
I have no idea how a retailer like this is still in business considering they provide subpar customer service via their online channels. I sent a number of emails over a three week period in relation to an exchange of a faulty product which was actually deemed by the manufacturer to be faulty, and is still under warranty.
I am not able to actually speak to anyone about the issue, which leads me to believe that there must be so many complaints that the retailer is unwilling to speak to their customers and prefer to palm them off to AI chat bots instead and customers become so fed up that they cave.

Harvey Norman Trade In is a most unreliable service. They access it for some value and subsequent is drama. Come up with low value subsequent to sending devices. And then try to negotiate only when you do not accept offer. They hold on to the device till last and giving very little time near to weekend to accept or reject offers. After rejecting offer and charging back bank account, never send device back to us. You loose your time and energy and its "No business and just drama". Stay away from them.
Purchased a lamp online from Harvey Norman
I purchased a lamp online from Harvey Norman, but before doing so, I tried to view the table lamp in-store before purchasing, but it wasn’t available at my local Harvey Norman and they told me it's online only. I was therefore forced to order online to see it in person. When the lamp arrived, I carefully removed it from the box to view it, realised it wasn’t what we wanted for the space, and immediately repacked it. It has never been used and is in brand-new condition.
I was surprised to be told that change-of-mind returns are not accepted, despite the fact that many items aren’t available to view in-store. While I understand the policy from a technical standpoint, it feels impractical and unfriendly to customers when online purchases are the only way to view certain items.
The return process has been unnecessarily difficult, involving approval from suppliers, photos, and potential additional fees, despite the item being unused and resaleable.
Overall, this experience has made me hesitant to shop here again, as it feels like the risk is placed entirely on the customer.
Harvey Norman Lake Haven delivers
We had purchased a modular lounge less than a year ago from Harvey Norman Lake Haven and it ended up being a lemon. Brandon and the staff were so great in attending to our issue via their Manufacturer who sent someone out to inspect the lounge and agreed that unfortunately it was a lemon. Brandon from Harvey Norman Lake Haven then contacted us to advise they would provide a refund/credit to use in store to select a new lounge and they would collect the faulty on. We visited the store and found a heavily discounted leather lounge with 4 recliners and purchased that one, and paid a bit extra. The lounges were delivered the next day and Shae and his colleague were amazing. They took the old lounge out and brought in the new one where it was put together and all the rubbish taken away. Shae was just brilliant in his customer service and we would highly recommend Harvey Norman Lake Haven. They have been just outstanding in attending to our issues and nothing was a ever a problem. From Brandon in the store and then the manufacturer and then Shae who provided every care in delivering our new lounge. Thank you so much Harvey Norman Lake Haven. No wonder we keep coming back. Do not get deliverys trough havery norman! The time frames they give you to be at your house are 3hrs long and i took 2 half days off work to get a fridge delivered and it failed to deliver twice. Very frustrating!
Proprietors Excellent home Service Which wasn't expected
I wasn't able to connect my new printer with my WiFi, Jordon the proprietor helped me first by video call, when I was unable to connect that way he drove all the way from Batemans Bay to Tuross Heads not only to connect the printer to my Ipad and my phone to the WiFi, he also fixed my phone to enable me to receive notification on my messages. He really didn't have to do that for me. That shows what a dedicated and caring person Jordon is. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much. I strongly recommend Batemans Bay Harvey Norman. Josie
Scam Alert - Avoid this company.
Made a $3000 purchase online but immediately cancelled at the start of business the following day.
I specifically wrote in the cancellation message ( the dont have a phone number for online ) that I wanted to cancel before they dispatched.
They got back to me 24hrs later saying that they can't cancel, because the already dispatched - even though the payment is still pending in my bank account and the order is sitting at processing.
I made a further complaint and recieved two emails from Ken a customer service representative on the 21st & 27th of January, stating that he was talking with the supplier about cancelling my order
On the 29th of January a updated tracking of the item showed that it had arrived in my state, I emailed Ken asking what was happening with the cancellation- Not surprising, he just didn't bother emailing back.
The item was delivered to my address on the 4th of Feburary.
So basically this company will wait until they send the item, then message back saying its to late or just not email back at all.
I could of rejected the item - but that involves fees taken from my refund, most likely the $700 delivery fee.
Basically, don't buy from these scammers - there are better online companies that will cancel and refund straight away.
Their 1.9 star rating should tell you everything about this company.
