Although Joseph Bryce and Jonathan may not have been experts on arrival for this specific brand of Pergola, they thoroughly read every piece of documentation before arrival and watched countless videos. They also tried to get here at 7am each day to accomplish as much as possible each day. All in all they needed 2 and a half days to build the big Pergolux pergola but they did a very thorough job and left everything looking great. Also, loved their attitudes and work ethic. Very happy with their work and would use them again.

Great communication and service for assembly of sole f80 treadmill

This has been a horrible experience on the part of handy buddy. They have zero customer service and you can’t modify or change anything once you hit submit. They aren’t clear on the front end about their “trust fee” being a “cancellation fee”. They say 100% satisfaction guarantee but there is no one to even speak to about any issues, questions, or problems. If you aren’t comfortable with the “expert” you still have to pay them the “trust fee” that again, they do not clearly explain in the beginning that you will owe should you need to cancel for any reason.

I originally tried to book but didn’t, because it wasn’t clear what exactly I was being charged for. I kept getting daily emails from HandyBuddy to complete my request, so I contacted them via chat to ask what was included in installation, since I needed the pergola anchored in concrete and had also purchased privacy walls for it. I was told to just contact my contractor directly about that. There was nowhere on their website to let the contractor know about the extra work I needed before booking and they would not let me know who the contractor was until after booking.

When the contractor reached out, I asked about anchoring it in concrete and paid them separately for that. I didn’t think to mention the walls at that point since there was no clear way to flag it beforehand. When they arrived, they said installing the walls was an additional charge and that they couldn’t do it.

I then tried to contact HandyBuddy again, which was surprisingly difficult once I was already matched with a contractor — a stark contrast to how easy it was to reach them before booking. Someone replied rudely (no name, no greeting), simply stating that they put up the pergola and the contractor would need to be paid separately for the walls. When I called out the rudeness, they replied again — this time with a name and a more professional tone.

The total amount I ended up paying to get this pergola installed was absolutely ridiculous, and honestly embarrassing to admit. The contractor even told me what percentage of my payment went to HandyBuddy, which made me even more frustrated. Not worth the cost at all. If you’re considering this, I’d recommend finding your own contractor instead.

We had a wonderful experience. Our technicians were honest, reliable, and very, very good. We are so happy and verypleased with how the assembly of our Pergulux pergola turned out. We would be happy to hire them again for any other additional jobs.Thank you.
