H&T began serving communities around London in 1897. Since then, we have expanded to become one of the most established and leading alternative finance providers in the UK. We offer a broad range of products to our customers that include pawnbroking, foreign exchange, gold buying, cheque cashing, and retail. Since 2006, H&T has accelerated its development by adding new products and services, expanding the store network and developing a complete online service. Our continued investment in the business and the communities we serve has resulted in us growing to become one of the leading providers in the UK with over 280 stores nationwide. In August 2025, H&T Group was acquired by FirstCash Holdings Inc. FirstCash is a leading international operator of pawn stores and provider of technology-driven point-of-sale payment solutions, focused on serving cash and credit-constrained consumers. The Acquisition represents FirstCash's entry into the UK pawnbroking market. We believe everyone should be given choices in how to deal with their financial needs. We endeavour to provide the best service and the broadest choice of financial solutions for the widest group of people

Poor warranty returns procedures .
Poor warranty returns procedures .
My watch that I purchased late March 2026 requires a repair under warranty , returned to the local branch who emailed over confirmation that Swiss times services will be in touch with 2 weeks .
3 weeks later my watch is still at the local branch having never been sent to the companies repair centre due to no staff member knowing the correct procedure to handle a repair claim!
It took 3 phone calls to H&T to establish the facts after the very helpful staff member at Swiss times services explained my watch has not been received .
If you are in the market for a preowned luxury watch I would suggest there are retailers out there that have better customer service procedures when things go wrong!
Updated .
Since my above review and emails pointing out the issues in their warranty procedures , Julie at the Boston branch has worked hard to resolve the issue and to the companies credit they have made every effort to resolve the solution .
Thank you for sorting!

Avoid buying online
Be very very careful buying anything from these people ONLINE the money is taken but the item is not sent out and you have to spend your time chasing it up. You are sent from pillar to post and the staff on the phone have a couldn't really care less attitude and it is not easy to get through to them either.
