I was using this site for a few years…
I was using this site for a few years and it was my go to site. Im an amateur gunsmith and I love to buy/sell/service. Up until a few weeks ago I would have given it a 10/10.
Now? I would give a 0 but not an option in tne review. I posted an add(s) and they block me for fishing??? Not even sure what they meant by that but no explanation except that the person on the other end is a millennial and wouldn't explain except for saying im keeping them from their Xbox.
Note to GunPost, hire people who know what they are doing and know the lifestyle.
Ever since Trudeau got power this site has gone to crap.
Thanks for letting me vent. Any response would be great.

160K users love this site, but it's only the guys we have to ban from the site who write these whiny reviews. Welcome to the Trustpilot whiner club. There are nearly a dozen of you now.
You actually got blocked because you broke the same rule 5 times in one night. Hint, when a company emails you once, twice, or even 5 times in the same night telling you to stop trying to auction in the classifieds, and to use the auctions for that instead, or just list an actual price, stop what you are doing. Pretty simple.
Keep that in mind and you might not get kicked off the next site you start using.

Five Stars: I have contacted multiple Gun Post sellers over the past couple of months, purchased several guns and each transaction has been perfect.
I did post a wanted ad on the site and I quickly had messages from a handful of scammers who would not allow me to connect with them by telephone. Everyone of them went silent after I advised I would not deal with them without a live video call and proof of that they were legit. if you post a wanted ad, be cautious as it seems to me that scammers are monitoring this site. Follow Gun Post's advice on protecting yourself. Because of this experience, I'm cautious about even considering dealing with a seller unless they have positive reviews on the site. Otherwise, my dealings have been flawless and In my opinion, this is a very good marketplace.

I try to fight with scam back sellers, with fake advertising, with stories about rifles which never exists, with lying that it same number and much more...As, result I got back very dirty language back and promise with suspension from GP. Bravo gp you helped them!!! I thought gp can be really good site, but not! Who pay for advertising really good guys, even they advertising that on SKS Canada remove 10 round magazines and replace on 5 magazine(which not exist) and it why magazine not much the rifle!!! Or you nuts or ...A will report all fake add on gunpost not you, but on Trustpilot!

Reality check. It was actually a reputable member, not a scammer. And you only got banned because you had already been issued a warning in the past to not use our site just to troll sellers, and apparently you did not take the warning seriously and continued to message legitimate sellers just for the purpose of harassing them. Nice story though. Tell yourself that enough times you may convince yourself it was true.

Found this site to be very well run
Found this site to be very well run, very helpful, certainly better laid out than a lot of other sites!
Questions were answered promptly and respectfully. This is a go to site to find in an organized way what is for sale out there and 10 photos helps out to help make decisions. Thank you for helping me in selling what was difficult to move till I found this site and I found something I was looking for thanks to it too. 5 stars!

You're the guy who thinks we should regulate how private sellers set their asking prices. Like I told you in email, I will tell you here again. This is a public classified ads site. We do NOT support communism, and we believe in a free market. People can ask what they want, and shoppers are free to laugh at the guys with silly prices and buy from the other sellers with good prices. That's called a free market. If you want to live in a society where nobody is free to ask what rice they want to try to get for their own used private goods, move out of Canada into some communist country please. You're just pissed because we would not allow you back on the site after you threw a hissy fit and asked us to close your account.
You're Free To Do As We Tell You
I have always had a good experience on this site. That is, until today. Gunpost pulled my ad, claiming that I was attempting to "auction" the item I had for sale, without asking me for my story. Someone replied to my Ad, asking me for the price(s) that I wanted. I told them. Simple. Next thing I know, Gunpost notified me that my Ad had been "declined due to auctioning." I had a very difficult-to-find item for sale, and yes the price was high, but that's the law of supply and demand. Those types of things don't sell for "cost." You're free to pay the asking price, negotiate with the seller, or walk away. At least that's how it used to work in a Free Society.

We have certain standards for posting that is what made us the most popular buy and sell site for guns in Canada. Other members like the fact that we have some quality control so they have a better shopping experience.
All you had to do was add the price you wanted to the ad, and we then approve the edit.
With the hundreds of new ads getting posted daily, this happens for a few of them. So they edit, and we approve, no drama. Everybody just adjusts and gets it done.
If you don't like it, go use one of the other garbage chute sites available or guns in Canada.

Hi Ryan. I'm guessing you are someone we banned for being some type of rule breaker and are bitter. FYI, there is a minimum of 12 hours per day(365 days per year) in front of the screen doing admin work on this site. Yes, anyone can sign up. But scammers are promptly banned regardless of how many attempts they make to create new accounts. We get piles of emails from people who appreciate our efforts. Especially to provide them a free site. If you think this site lacks management, I invite you to browse some other Canadian sites and compare.

Multiple Listings of Same Firearm: In my opinion no one wants to see the same firearm listed multiple times on reviewing the site. Showing a firearm on every page indicates to me the price is way too high and the seller is desperate. It is also a waste of time for those looking for a gun.

Hi Robert. Most of our users can plainly tell that those are the promoted 'top ads' which are those 3 top spaces at the top of each page, and not actually multiples or duplicate ads. People pay to be in those 3 promoted spaces, then the listings below that are the regular listings. That is why you might see that same ad(not duplicate, it is actually the very same ad) appear on other pages when you go from page to page. Notice they are in those 3 spaces above that grey bar on each page. So no, we don't actually allow multiple listings of the same firearm. You have confused that with the promoted top ad spaces.
