Adam was very helpful in planning our trip. He listened to what we wanted, provided an initial itinerary, and then followed up with us to tweak it. He was very responsive and timely in his communications. His enthusiasm for Ireland and special places to visit makes planning even more fun.

Peter has done a great job setting up our trip to Ireland. He has been quick to respond to email and text messages and did a nice job customizing to our needs. We haven't taken our trip yet, but we expect it will be as wonderful as the reviews suggest.

Peter has been working tirelessly to help FIVE sisters plan a train trip through Scotland. We are impressed with his flexibility and persistence.

My first deal with GoRailTour, during the process of planning our five people group of Scotland rail trip, Peter has proved us his professional abilities with prompt response, clearly organized thinking, honest and no pressure communication to plan out our itineraries as per our dream trip request, although pricing is on the higher side, we will just have to wait to complete the trip before final comment.

Very happy with the connection to Peter at Gorailtours. We are just at the beginning and appreciate the fine tuning of our itinerary that Peter has discussed and planned for.

Peter has been fantastic in helping us plan our trip to Ireland! He’s been patient and flexible with our changes and decisions. He is very detail oriented and has answered all of our questions promptly. Very easy and pleasant to work with!

Adam was my advisor from GoRailTours, and he was fabulous. I started somewhat broad with my ask for a 6 day trip around Scotland. He quickly sent me the itinerary and asked for a follow up call. I asked again for another itinerary after reviewing all the various samples off the website. When we got on our initial call we planned something even different. He listened to me about doing to many day tours vs either small guided or self tours. He built another itinerary that i probably will go with. When we had our 2nd call to finalize, i made a few more tweaks and plan to confirm which one before the weekend. I appreciated his patience and his guidance on what would be a must see vs not to have an enjoyable vacation vs a crammed packed one. If you enjoy working with an efficient, knowledgeable, patient person who will work tirelessly for you, then Adam is who you should ask for! Can't wait to do this amazing Scotland tour with my daughter that Adam helped create, memories will be made!

Adam is the best - he has been flexible and responsive all the way. We can't wait to enjoy our adventure!

Adam was very responsive in designing a trip that met all our needs. He’s been a pleasure to work with

Advisor was knowledgeable and listened to our interests.

Peter was amazing in stetting up a tour for us to meet our wants and keep it with in budget. He was so prompt in responding to my emails and called when he said he would even with a 6 hour time difference. Looking forward to touring Ireland in the fall.

I recently worked with Peter to plan my Scottish Rail, Castle and Distillery Tour (September 8–16, 2026), and I could not be more pleased with the experience.

From the very beginning, Peter took the time to truly understand my interests — scenic rail journeys, historic castles, and immersive whisky experiences — and thoughtfully refined the itinerary to align perfectly with what I wanted. Together we crafted an incredible journey that includes Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and underground ghost tour, Stirling Castle, Inverness and Loch Ness, the Jacobite Steam Train through the Highlands, Glen Affric, Culloden, Speyside whisky touring, and a wonderful Wde Whisky tasting experience in Edinburgh.

Peter was always friendly, engaging, responsive, and genuinely invested in making this trip exceptional. He answered every question thoroughly and helped fine-tune the details — from hotel selections like Motel One Edinburgh-Royal and Craigmonie Hotel in Inverness, to rail passes and guided experiences — ensuring the entire journey flows seamlessly.

What stood out most was how collaborative the process felt. Peter made adjustments with ease and offered thoughtful suggestions while always respecting my preferences and budget considerations.

If you’re considering a rail-based tour through Scotland, I highly recommend working with Peter. His expertise, attention to detail, and personable approach truly elevate the planning experience and give you confidence that your trip will be unforgettable.

I am beyond excited for this adventure — and grateful to Peter for helping bring it to life!

This is exactly what we were looking for. Someone to turn our wants into an itinerary that works with our previously planned Red Stag hunt near Inverness. Adam was able to have our tour reach all the highlights and end tour right where hunt picks up. Perfect! Really looking forward to this adventure

We are planning a trip to Scotland in September 2026. There are 3 of us - myself, my husband and a friend. We were originally going to plan the trip ourselves, rent a car and do all of our own planning and booking. My husband saw the Go Rail Tours website information and we decided to contact them to get some information. I had a bit of difficulty at first with connecting with someone but as soon as I made contact with Peter it has been wonderful. Peter has been excellent at listening to what we want to experience from this trip. He has been extremely patient as we have made adjustments to suit our needs and our budget. He has explained things in good detail and I’m confident that if we need to make any changes/adjustments down the road that he will work with us to make this trip an amazing experience for us all.
Peter also went out of his way to chat during his weekend to adjust some things on our itinerary. When I confirmed the trip with Peter he genuinely sounded excited and happy for us.
We are all very excited about our upcoming trip to Scotland.
Thank You Peter!

I recently worked with Adam to explore our options for consideration of booking a train tour with Gorailtours.com, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the level of service I received. From the very first inquiry, Adam was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in finding the perfect itinerary for my husband and me. Adam even went as far as to provide services and follow-up with us after hours and over the weekend. Hats off to Adam as he represents Gorailtours.com and not only provides excellent customer service. His diligence and commitment to his job and clients provides for an awesome customer experience. Thanks Adam, for a job well done!! :-)

Right from first contact Peter was extremely helpful by listening to what I wanted to see and do in Scotland. He came upwith a perfect plan and explained it all in detail.
Loved the map and detailed itinerary. Can’t wait to go

Peter has been great at adapting a trip agenda to my desires. He works quickly and always seems to be available to suit my schedule. I've enjoyed working with him.

I loved working with Peter - he was knowledgeable and extremely patient as he helped me create my dream trip to Scotland-can't wait to go!

I am in the planning stage of my dream trip to Wales and Scotland and Adam Smith with GoRailTours has been fantastic. He sent me a great itinerary, fully explained all the details and costs, and even made a very helpful video pairing a map with pictures of the areas and attractions as he walked us through the trip. He hopped on multiple calls to answer all my questions and make adjustments to ensure we LOVE our experience.

Working with Adam at Gorailtours was a wonderful experience. Adam took great delight in helping up plan a "Bucket List" tour in the Scottish Highlands. Adam was truly excited we were excited about the choices he proposes. Will certainly recommend Adam and Gorailtours to friends and family!
