My booking wasn’t recognised by their number plate system, I ended up reversing onto double red lines, and was hit with a £60 charge. Despite appealing, neither Times24 nor Gatwick Airport has offered a refund.
I am not alone with this. This is a scam targeting the public. Avoid if possible, and think twice before booking. I’ll continue raising awareness until this is resolved.

Poor road system and signage at Gatwick airport
Very poor signage for the Gatwick South long stay car park, overwhelmed by the Gatwick airport drop off zone charging signage. Overall the signage and Gatwick airport road system are just too confusing and it is far too easy to end up having to pay the charge for entering Gatwick airports drop off roadway with no way of avoiding it. Feels like it is deliberately confusing in order to make it difficult to avoid having to pay the additional charge if you are not already familiar with the airport road system. And be warned that if you use the supplied postcode in a satnav it might make you miss the correct turnings (as it did for me) and take you toward the drop off pay zone! Some relevant sign posts were even partially covered by plants. Less stressful to park at Cophall!

I was REALY annoyed that on exiting…
I was REALY annoyed that on exiting medium stay parking that I then passed into lane for drop off and ended up paying £10 fine for doing so. This is grossly unfair and due to unclear signage as from review many fall foul of this scam.

I have used the long stay car parking
I have used the long stay car parking. Parking and suttle. They were great but I have to pay for drop off charge as the post code they provide will lead you to the drop off zone and google map link did not work. The long stay carpark sign at entry is small and easy to miss. Don't know it is deliberate to earn more or not! That part could have been avoided with better and clearer instructions in the website, I guess.
To the authorities, is there any scope of improvement please?

Although we did chose short stay car park as we had a short trip the parking costs just seem to be increasingly high. Unfortunately this seems to be an industry standard. Not really helping the Tourism industry as a whole.

Easy to book,directions to parking zones are magnificent.Bus service to terminal is very frequent and drivers are great.
You just need to make a note of your car park number and also your zone.
