It’s been 4 days and I still don’t know if I get the room...

My reservation was cancelled unexpectedly without an email or anything, leaving me uninformed.

The company is really bad, probably the worst company I have ever rented from. The charge you for everything; for giving you the keys, for extending the contract etc. They send you threatening e-mails about rent payment, moving out, cleaning etc. The furniture is advertised as being brand new and modern. In fact the furniture is old and broken. The fridges and washing machines are broken, leaking and dirty. The houses should be renovated thoroughly before rented out. And if you report a problem they will not respond to your e-mails or phone calls. The service is absolutely non-existing. This is a company that does not care about its tenants or its buildings. The only thing the company and its staff cares about is the money they get each month from the insanely high rents. The only way this company could pull off this is because there is no competition for short term rentals. This is an embarrassing company that should not be able to exist in an ideal world.

J'étais dans la résidence Federspiel pendant 4 mois début 2020. Voici quelques points factuels de mon passage dans une location de Furnished :

- La cuisine est tout simplement inexploitable : frigo insalubre, poubelles remplies, des ustensiles de cuisine tellement vieux qu'ils sont inutilisables. Si vous avez un peu de chance l'évier n'est pas bouché. Le port d'un pince-nez pour les odeurs est conseillé.

- Une fois que vous avez signé votre contrat, il est simplement impossible de les avoir au téléphone ou d'avoir une réponse par mail.

- Ils ont menacé de couper internet car un locataire dans la résidence n'avait pas payé ce qui est illégal et qui démontre encore une fois leur mauvaise foi. Le mail était : "The tenant of room FED 1 - 32 has not paid his rent.The landlord threatens to cut the internet if the rent is not credited within 24 hours"

- Finalement, récupérer la caution est un parcours du combattant. Il a fallu 2 mois et des dizaines d'appels pour être remboursé.

En résumé, oui Furnished est sans doute le moins cher pour se loger au Luxembourg mais je suis convaincu que vous préférez dormir dans une tente dans le parc du centre-ville qu'avoir affaire avec eux. Je vous conseille sincèrement de passer votre chemin.

If you have another alternative take it, Furnish handles everything poorly from customers to breaking of terms

Until now , how the things are going : reservation & first payment, every thing OK, no reason for complains.. on contrary.. you done good job, keep it like .. this :)

The proccess was great, my only concern is that I had to change the navigator from chrome to firefox to create an account, which is not clearly explained, so at first I thought it was my mistake. But everything else was clear and easy to follow

I would never recommend to anyone. Commonly known among expats in Luxembourg for its bad reputation. Poor and rude customer service and ridiculously high prices compared to what you get in return.

I can confirm that some of the answers from the company (that I have read below) are not true. We have not been provided with proper cleaning equipment (and the mop I bought myself suddenly dissapeared from the closet). If you complain publicly they also like to claim that they have never received emails/tickets from you previously. They did that to me too. And I have emails to prove I have contacted them. I also submitted complaints through this ”amazing” form on their website which apparently sends your complaints directly to the trashbin as nobody ever replies or fixes the problems. Also I am still waiting for them to refund some money to me which after 1,5years has not happened.

Best part was when the actual owner of the apartment came to knock on our door asking if anyone lives here - because Furnished had told him that they can’t pay him the full rent as everyone has left the apartment due to covid (apartment fully booked). This happened around the same time when Furnished raised our rents by casual ~15%!!!

Once talking to a customer service agent on the phone I actually caught him lying to my face. Tells pretty much about the customer service you will receive for that monthly fee which comes on top of that ”all-inclusive” price you pay.

Also some of the rooms have SERIOUS mold problems. Some of my colleagues are also still after 1y waiting to get their deposits back.

Please check all the other options before renting a room from this company. It is tricky in Luxembourg but it will be worth the effort. I have lived in many countries in many rental flats/rooms and I have never had to face anything this absurd before.

Site assez simple mais ne peut pas prendre 2 régions ou plus en compte, c'est 1 ou toutes.
Dates assez floues, on peut du 1 au 31 juillet mais pas 1 au 14 ou 15 au 31..
Consignes inexistantes après paiement de 150€.

This is the worst bedroom platform EVER, i moved to Lux in 2017.

Their platform is easy to use 'cos they nearly own the entire city, as soon as something is built they buy it as soon as a building is abandoned they buy it.. for what? to remove any common area and make extra rooms to rent so you will never get a living room or "salle à manger" if they would be allowed to rent the hallways or stairways and make a bedroom to rent it out of that they would do so!

my story is crazy read until the end

was renting 16m² bedroom 900€, that house with 11 other roommates and had 2 fridges!!! and also a big garage and i'm an IT guy having his own business so lots of computer stuff to store so a garage was perfect, i sent an email to be able to rent it adding 150€ extra to monthly rent, they replied yeah sure, no problem, let us just revert to you asap we have validation from the owner but it shouldn't be a problem

after some weeks i sent an email asking for news? ..."yeah we are still waiting for a VISA from the owner but its ok its fine there is no problem" ..."ok cool, can i start to store a few things in the garage like my car and some boxes?"
yeah sure no problem

many months passed and they never get back to me, i was happy and started to put all my IT stuff there... 5 or 6 months later (i had booked the room for 1 year), i came back from work and the lock of the door of the garage was changed! ...could not enter (i also had some items belonging to customers inside)

well i forced the door and what did i discovered ? 1/3 of my things had disappeared! W T F! under the shock i thaught about a burglar (but burglars change the door lock?? ... as i said i haven't thought too much and called the police) ...then i called Furnished agency, and they said:

"oooh it was your stuff there? you are the one putting all those things there? we didn't know"...

we will expulse you anyway, because you used an area not allowed!

W T F? i have emails showing that you allowed me to put my stuff there

"well a car maybe but not running a shop in the garage"

i'm not running a shop, i store things only, there is no shop, but well, anyway things are missing! do you know where they are? why have you stolen things from me?

"Its not us, please make a list of everything that disappeared and we will make an internal inquiry"

Well, i spare you all the details, but the day i had to give back keys, despite all my protest, they forced me by law to leave the place, i recorded on video going to their office upstairs... they even took out of my account 1 month of rent too much, and no dommage in the bedroom so they had to refund me back 1 month paid too much + 500 € of depositf (which they NEVER did , and this was in 2017 , i sent few mails after that they never did anything)

but somehow after that rendez vous i had that feeling inside that the guy i was talking to was just a liar , and on ground floor there was a opened door going down to their garage ... i went their and i found ALL my stolen stuff their in the cave !!! in the corner near the "chaudière" , i felt so enraged i started to record a video showing all my stuff i went back upstairs and asked , (with the phone recording in the pectoral pocket of my shirt)

are you sure you have no idea where my stuff can be ??

no , we have no idea, we told you we will investigate

...alright so what about all the computers? Apple laptops? USB chargers etc downstairs in your garage ??

euh ? what? oh but you went there? Do you know you are not allowed to go there? we could suit you to enter private not allowed area

finally after hours of intense words i got my stuff back

This is the worse service I have ever experienced before the reservation, during the stay and furing the termination and a DO NOT RECOMMEND TO BOOK THROUGH FURNISHED and/or ALTEA IMMOBILIERE.

Booked a room and paid for extra cancellation insurance. I had to cancel due to covid, and was promised a refund of the initial payment of approx. €2 000. I have now waited for the refund for over one month. Have sent several email s without any response. I am very disappointed in the way this was handled by the company.

Escroquerie. Immeuble vieux, équipements vétustes. Il faut compter des frais pour étendre un séjour, mais aussi pour demander à quitter une chambre avant la période prévue (alors qu'une période d'un mois et demi de préavis évidemment payante est obligatoire). Il y a tant à redire ... Les prestations de ménage ont été réduites de moitié (un mail pour l'annoncer avait paru), tous les occupants des centaines de chambres s'étaient indignés, car elles étaient de base presque inexistantes (ah oui, ils avaient mis toutes les adresses mail des locataires en copie, génial niveau protection des données personnelles). Quoi d'autre ... Oui, les femmes de ménages ont les doubles des clés et entrent très fréquemment dans les chambres pour contrôler. Les loyers ont également tous pris 100€, il faut désormais compter près de 1000€ (oui car le prix indiqué sur le site est évidemment faux et trompeur, il ne tient pas comptes des frais que vous payez pour les prestations de type ménage et électricité) pour bénéficier d'une chambre très moyenne. Bref à fuir !!
