Terrible quality fronts
Customer service was very friendly and helpful throughout the ordering process for our IKEA Metod kitchen fronts. We where able to ordered a sample first, and the final delivery arrived well-packaged.
Unfortunately, the quality of the actual fronts did not match the sample we received. The paint finish scratches extremely easily, making installation nearly impossible without causing visible damage. Some panels even arrived chipped straight out of the packaging.
After raising our concerns with customer service, we were only offered a 20% discount on a future order – which we won’t be taking up, given this experience. Disappointing outcome after what started as a very promising interaction.

If the fronts had arrived with chips, this would have been covered by our delivery claim policy. However, the type of damage you described is typically consistent with mechanical impact. It's important to remember that lacquered finishes, while beautiful, are susceptible to chipping or scratching when struck—they are not designed to withstand impact. This is a characteristic of the paint finish itself, not a defect in manufacturing.
