Didn’t honor rate promise
The person who came to our door promised $35/month for five years, but they raised the price to $45 after a year.
Inconsistent service & billing
Every time I turn around, Frontier is raising my bill for the same mediocre service. I call and sometimes get them to lower my bill after they have increased charges several times. However, within 3-4 months, they are back to increasing their charges without any explanation or notification. I don’t have many choices of other carriers where I live, so I have been hassling with this company for many years very frustrating!

I wish there were 0 stars. Tree falls down and takes out power and 3 internet lines. Power company Spectrum and Green Light all repair their lines within 24 hrs. Frontier says 7 to 14 days. Worst service ever,,,,they own no assets. They have no dispatch teams. Contract everything out to very dumb people who don't care
Customer service is a nightmare
Day 13 and still no Wi-Fi/Internet and no remedy or response in sight from Frontier.
We had a neighborhood power outage on December 19, 2025. The electric company not only restored our power during a snowstorm within several hours, they continued with updates via text. Spectrum customers had their service working.
Myself and a few other neighbors who use Frontier are still without any Internet(outage) as of today 12/31.
I used their app to contact them about the issue and it scheduled a tech to come out on December 23.
Our tech Sean is the only reason I even gave this review 2 stars because he was great to deal with.
Yes, the issue is on their end.
(So please Frontier stop using narcissistic nonsense blame shifting on your customers or telling us to use app which will deal with problems when clearly it can’t). You know the app that tells you “no outage “ when there is one.
Our Tech spoke with support and no answer was given if issue can be resolved and support needs to sort through troubleshooting.
I checked the app again later that evening which rescheduled a tech to come out again December 24? Then it changed again later and rescheduled for 12/25 Christmas seriously???
A real nightmare to get through to customer service to speak with a person for update.
I eventually got through and was told yes there is an existing outage and the matter was being escalated?
A few days later and still no updates or communication. How absurd a Communication company that can’t communicate with customers well?
So I Did the app thing one more time and it rescheduled for January 7, 2026. That will be day 20 with no service.
I’ve been a customer 10 years and there was a brief time they were actually OK, but not now. So many issues with Frontier to even mention.
I just want an answer Frontier whether or not it can be fixed??? If not then I’ll need to find another provider ASAP.

Frontier Charging Premium for Obsolete Service
Frontier is charging my family $55 per month for internet service delivering only 0.24 Mbps download and 0.09 Mbps upload—speeds comparable to dial-up from the 1990s. Modern high-speed internet at 100–500 Mbps typically costs $30–50 per month.
This extreme overpricing is forcing us to consider canceling the service or switching to a faster provider.

Internet comes and goes all the time, they charge $75 to have customer service come and check the internet, if you log in the app it shows there’s no outrages and internet works great.

I have had a terrible experience with Frontier. I’ve used them for several years due to no other choice in my location. Initially it was off and on service. Very frustrating. Things got better for a while, the past few years. Then the problems started locally with wires down, melted connections in the heat. Technicians called to location repeatedly. Then a fix for a month. Then another problem. The latest, no internet Christmas Eve. Supposedly sending a technician out on the 26th, the day after Christmas. Then doesn’t show. Now expected on the 27th. So three days now without internet. Last time it was a week. It seems that they cannot manage infrastructure required for internet service

Frontier Doesn't Honor Their Word
I was expecting a $100 credit and/or gift card for the inconvenience I received creating a duplicate account for a special they were running. It was a fiasco and one of the female agents spent a couple of hours helping me to sort out the mess. After months of getting notifications saying they were working on my credit, it was denied. Looking at other home Wifi options currently.
Horrible Service Provider
Frontier was great for a while after they first installed service in my neighborhood and we didn’t have may issues until October 2024. Service went down once a week for at least 12 hours at a time. Since then, it goes out 1-3 times month for at least 12 hours at a time. These issues started happening conveniently at the same time they started trying to sell “unbreakable WiFi”. A satellite service that’s an extra $25 a month in the event that your service goes down for “peace of mind”. Bunch of crap if you ask me! Why would I pay extra in the name of making a service more reliable when it should be reliable in the first place?! Wouldn’t recommend frontier to ANYONE that has other options. Complete lack of caring about the consumer. Just straight up greedy.

Worst service provider ever. We ran into so many problems with them.
1st. They gave us 2 different accounts for the same address. It took months and months to fix this and they kept denying its existence until we sent in a consumer complaint. They were basically double charging us. To make up for it They gave us a good deal. Or so we thought because...
2nd. They were throttling our internet. Especially when they were "encouraging us" to upgrade our internet. We sent in a consumer complaint and magically our internet was not having issue anymore. We also 'surprisingly' after that complaint didn't need the wifi extender or any of the other services that they were selling. Coincidence? Idk. But we got upset and switched internet providers at that point which leads to...
3rd. They won't stop billing us. It's been like 6months. We've been in the wind. And suddenly they are calling collections. For what? We don't use their services. We couldn't because we've even moved! This is of course was after them saying for us to pay anywhere from 50-200$ as an 'exit fee'.
I absolutely hate this company and they are a complete nightmare to deal with. My friends and family have all had similar experiences. I would literally recommend any other provider.

I had gone with Frontier because it was a little cheaper and supposedly better service. I was with them for a couple of months. I was on the phone with them every week pretty much. Internet going out 10 oclock at night then coming back on at 1 the next afternoon. Then later that evening going out again. They told me there was an outage. My service was working fine. Then there was no outage and my service was down again. Called customer service who put me through various operations. The router shouldn't be on the floor. ( I didn't install it) Where is your box at? I had no idea where that was. I found it eventually it was outside of the garage up near the top of the wall. They wanted me to do something with that andI saw there was electrical power attached to it. I don't think so. Kept referring me to a website that didn't work. One point they said they couldn't hear me when I called in. I hung up and they called me right back, but again said they couldn't hear me. I thought I was on SNL. Totally ridiculous on all levels.
Frontier is very badly managed
Too much stress to talk about my 2 month experience of no internet, no landline, and no cellphone because I rely on Wi-Fi calling. I called tech support 9 times and had field support out twice. They WILL NOT ADVANCE YOU TO SENIOR HELP even when that is clearly what you need. I have spend 12 or more hours with their incompetence while we are paying them. Their system below made me select one date versus the fact this has been ongoing for 2 months. The factual dates are mud November to today, December 18.

Last year I was lied too about my internet service and was told that I had to switch from my router box to FIOS and that eventually everyone had to change over. Almost a year later no-one else has had to switch over and I was also told once I was already switched over, I couldn't go back to the router box I had previously for years and that if something was to go wrong in the line, that they would not come and fix it. Since I switched over to FIOS, my neighbor has had a problem in their line and they fixed theirs. The service is lousy and every day I lose internet connection on my TV and have to disconnect it and re-plug it back in. I am not the only one who complains about their service! It just happened again this morning while watching the T.V.
Most maddening “customer service” ever
Frontier Communications has just provided me the singular worst customer service experience I have ever had. After more than 50 minutes on the phone with technical support, the company refused to send out a service person to replace the third malfunctioning cable set top box in our time with the company “unless we agreed to pay $150” for the service call. I asked to speak to her supervisor and after several fake “I just spoke to my supervisor and it will be a few more minutes”, all but admitted that “the supervisor “ was not going to speak to me (and I believe was never even asked to). Then she tried to lecture me about how to take care of my elderly father (the account owner who was on the line with us). After more than an hour of being jerked around, the problem was not solved, my request to speak to a supervisor was not honored, the service call was never made, and the problem with the malfunctioning set top box was never resolved. This came in part from Frontier giving us refurbished/repaired used equipment that the earlier service personnel told us were not very good and broke all the time.
This was no way to treat a 90-year old customer of more than a decade of paying well over $100/month for Frontier “service”.

BEWARE if you are a current customer of Frontier or even thinking about using Frontier, as they will take advantage of you! We have been a customer for many years with their fiber internet service at 100 MBPS plan for $89.99 per month. They no longer offer the 100 MBPS service and have not offered this service for many years, but never notified us and many other customers when it was discontinued! Their lowest plan is currently 200 MBPS at $19.99/month. Their 5000 MBPS plan is $89.99/month. Frontier has been overcharging us $70.00 per month for many years! Thanks to Frontier’ poor customer service, they have never contacted us about reducing our price to their current plan or increasing our internet speed to 5000 MBPS for the $89.99/month we’ve been paying! Another Frontier customer told us about the scam after they discovered the deceptive practice!
If you are a current customer, CHECK YOUR BILL AS YOU ARE PROBABLY BEING SCAMMED BY FRONTIER like us and many other customers! Make sure the service you’re being charged for is still offered at the price you’re paying. Frontier won’t tell you, so CHECK YOUR BILL AGAINST SERVICES CURRENTLY BEING OFFFERED on the internet. Better yet, see what competitors are offering.
We’ve since moved on to an internet company with faster internet speeds and lower prices than Frontier. They also give you free equipment (no rental fees) and have NO contracts. AVOID FRONTIER INTERNET SERVICE!!!

I called the 1-800 -921-1801 and they tried to sell me a first alert necklace nothing to do with the Internet service. I went on their chat line. I couldn’t accomplish nothing and they wouldn’t give me a supervisor‘s phone number. They said I don’t need one. They said the supervisor can’t help me.
