Poor quality furniture
Purchased a $5000 lounge suite with recliner . Foam under the recliner foot rest has dropped down due to bad fixing so no padding for legs.
Freedom have refused any repair under warranty as regarded as normal wear and tear . Also refused due the gradual worsening of the defect I hadn’t complained when it first happened thus voiding the warranty. Would it have been covered if I complained when first noticed or would that still have been normal wear and tear!

Can’t even deliver the products ordered
I have been trying to get a table delivered for three weeks. I was told it was expected to arrive on the 21/01/26. I still have not received it. And the biggest joke of them all is no one can give me an update. I got told when it was leaving Melbourne and then nothing. This is the second time I have had issues with Freedoms delivery service. Never ever ever shopping here again. I want my table. Your company sucks.

We purchased the leather Sorrento sofa (priced $5.9k) and the supposed leather began PEELING in 2 years!!!
Freedom’s response? Predictable if you read the reviews… I followed many channels from Feb–Dec 2025, even returning part of the lounge to store.
Outcome: NO REMEDY!!! Nil. No cushion replacement, no partial refund — nothing. Hardly the standard for a reputable business.
Freedom blamed “lack of MAINTENANCE” and an “odour of BODY sweat.” Apparently applying a leather care every 3–6 months isn’t enough (perhaps a daily rub was required…).
ARE WE REALLY SWEATY??? We shower daily (sometimes twice). We disclosed our hygiene habits to Freedom. We’re human — but no TRAMP NIGHTCLUB sweat sessions here. (Freedom, we’re open to a sweat test!)
This couch appears better suited to non-human use. Shame it didn’t come with a warning:“Not suitable for human use. Ideal for synthetic companions only.”
We returned lounge sections to the Maroochydore store for assessment. Staff advised they sell furniture, aren’t experts, and can’t overturn decisions.
Premium price. Premium disappointment. Possibly not leather, possibly a manufacturing fault — plenty of similar peeling reviews online.

UPDATE: Freedom’s “Escalation Point Advisor” later said the issue was “likely due to our use” (not definitive). A report was arranged but refused to be shared. We offered to also lay for a second report and this was declined. No cushions, refund, or goodwill.
A third-party contractor paid by Freedom inspected the sofa, then sprayed our lounge without consent and admitted further spraying on additional cushions would damage it. We declined. All cushions/back and bottom are peeling but the cushion sprayed is significantly damaged.

Couch bought in September 2025 still not recieved
Ordered a couch on 7th September 2025 and still have not recieved it. Numerous phone calls and visit to the joondalup store and not a single staff member can advise where it is, or when it will be arriving. We were also contacted a month ago to advise it "could" be damaged, but then upon further inquiry the staff assured this was a mistake. Have now contacted consumer protection as the customer service has been useless and still no couch. Posted 10th Jan 2026, 17 weeks and waiting.
Nightmare from Day 1!
I ordered a table on 16th November and was apparently dispatched on the 17th November. It was an "Online Exclusive" which i subsequently find out it actually means i'm not even dealing with a Freedom product! Not to mention, no phone number available for their "Online Exclusive" range.
I then had to chase up with Freedom on the 3rd of December because nothing was changing on my delivery status. After numerous emails between Freedom and the delivery company, and choosing to contact Head Office to actually get somewhere, I find out that 3 of the apparent 4 items are sitting with the delivery company. I had to constantly chase up both to get the table delivered and it finally arrived after numerous calls and emails on the 17th December. And guess what - it is damaged!
A ticket was raised on the 18th December via contacting the Head Office number and then communications switch to email - to which they don't reply for 2-3-4 days until after I've emailed them.
They came back to me and asked if i wanted to recieve a Freedom voucher of $500, a refund of $380, or return the product for a full replacement. Considering i spent $2k, i want a full replacement. I have gone back to them and asked if they want just the table top returned (which is the damaged part) or the whole table and NO ONE can actually even respond to the questions in my email. And now, radio silence despite 3 follow up emails.
I'm beyond annoyed and cannot believe that this company blocks a Google review, hence my jumping on here. Not to mention no Facebook reviews (because i'm sure they delete the and filter them out) and i'm pretty sure all they are recieving is negative feedback.
Another company quite happy to take your money and then provide NO subsequent follow up service for damage that was sustained prior to the item being delivered.
At this stage it is unresolved and the saga continues.
Absolutely appalling service
Absolutely appalling service. I’ve never come across anything like this store in relation to appalling customer care/service. I would actually be embarrassed if this was my job! This complaint is only directed at the aftersales and online area of Freedom not the stores. I feel sorry for the guys in the store working their butt off to get a sale and their aftersales dept let them down.
I ordered a canvas in a freedom store on 28th November (as they do not stock this item in store so right away $70 for delivery).. I received this 2 weeks later. When the driver dropped it off the box was totally damaged, and half the canvas could be seen. I’ve had pillowcases from another company wrapped in more bubble wrap than how this was covered. I asked the driver to wait so I could check for damage, he simply said I’ve looked its fine it just didn’t handle the road journey, and I paid $70 for that service!
Anyway, it was damaged and of poor quality, I e mailed them right away and they gave me some offer of instore voucher worth $80 or a partial refund of $80 but it would be a bank transfer, and they would charge $15 for this.. I replied I wanted a replacement but then waited….and waited…and waited 5 e mails 1 phone call (who said they would deal with it right away) over the next 3 weeks, only to get an e mail today (30th Dec) to say hey good news your replacement will be arriving between 11th Jan – 16th Feb and in the meantime we will get the damaged one picked up on 7th Jan!!!
So basically, they are asking the customer to hand back the damaged one, no replacement (or wait for the replacement) for my wall and the company is sitting with my money…who at Freedom makes these rules and thinks that is any kind of customer service ..what an insult to the customer.
I bought from another company – and unfortunately received a damaged item…within literally 10 mins they had e mailed me escalated my complaint and within an hour updated to say a replacement was on its way….this canvas was a 1/3 price of freedom, but customer service was excellent!

I decided to write a review here too. Have never been so disappointed with a company. We previously had bought furniture (20 yrs ago) and it was unbreakable. During 2021 we got a new couch, it had to be replaced 3 times, 3 rd time we chose a leather couch, with the extra warranty etc (not worth the money by the way) our cushions failed within 3 months of said couch, was during Covid, said they never received out warranty claim, did NOTHING!!! Absolutely inferior quality. Do not buy anything from them. Service is atrocious as well.
Avoid leather furniture at Freedom
If l could register a zero l would. Freedom are terrible. Had 2 leather couches delivered by 2 hopeless staff who damaged both couches in the process of forcing them through doors instead of partly disassembling which happened in the end but too late, the damage was done. Asked for new couches as a result but was forced to accept repairs instead. Then after barely 12 months the leather on one of the couches was worn on the beading and head rest area. Paid for additional accident warranty in addition to the standard 2 year warranty and yet both knocked back to fix the damage. Avoid leather products from Freedom as the quality of their leather is clearly garbage and watch delivery staff like a hawk. Good luck with the Freedom Warranty Team as they are clearly extremely unhelpful and don’t waste your money on the accident warranty as Guardsman will use any excuse to not help. Needless to say we will never purchase from Freedom ever again.

I would not give them no stars at all and will not be a member no more because we got couch’s for my father but now he has cancer and has not long left to live we wanted a refund of the deposit they had no heart they said we can’t give you the money back and they said you have to pay 35% off what you got and we would not go back there a again and don’t tell you this I even said i have hospital letters they said no so poor for a big company and the manager was so rude at super centre more park

Terrible store service
I went to Freedom Southport to order a product from the website as the site said it could be ordered in a store. The agent said there were none available and was very unhelpful. So I ordered it online Won’t go to that store again. Terrible rude customer service.

If I could give zero stars I would. They are a shell of what they once were. For 5-6 days they said the pkg was coming “today”. Only to deliver to the wrong address. When I called up, they said it wasn’t actually a Freedom item (I ordered on freedom website) and I had to go through a third party system to sort it out. If it says online only, you’re not ordering from Freedom and they basically do nothing. Just FYI.

Zero stars. Online exclusive purchase of Olivares table only delivered in part (tabletop with no base). Slow email responses, cannot speak on phone to those in the online exclusive department.
Product description inaccurate (number of delivery boxes)and some appears to be written by AI.
Over 3 weeks have passed since incomplete delivery (5 weeks since purchase) and issue still not resolved- 12 emails and 7 phone calls later.
Hoping a PayPal claim will resolve this with a refund.
Worst delivery experience ever, avoid
Ordered a combined bed-and-shelves unit for my child. It comes in four separate boxes and only two arrived. After repeatedly chasing I finally got a third delivered. We're now at 2 weeks post the delivery date: I have a pile of useless bed pieces, my child is sleeping on the floor in his new house, no shelves to unpack his room, no response to emails. I'll never buy from Freedom again

If I could have left less than 1 star I would have. Received my new lounge after 3 month wait for the product material to fail, creases all over the less than month old sofa. Went through warranty process where freedom, they sent out an external consultant to review sofa for warranty claim. Sofa warranty approved for replacement. 4 months later I received the new sofa which has exactly the same issue, now freedom are telling me that it's normal wear and tear for this type of product and warranty is denied.
I've asked for my money back or a server discount to product as it's defective. Nothing but crickets.
Misrepresenting items being supplied by Relax House
I purchased bar stools online. I chose to purchase From Freedom as the dimensions and style suited me. Only to receive a like stool from Relax House with different dimensions & name.
When I asked to have my order refunded and collected, Freedom have come up with every excuse, like "you have purchased a 3rd party product" . At no time have they acknowledged the difference in size, although I have sent dimensions from both their website & Relax House.
I will also add, having only opened one box, that stool had a small piece out of the leg.
To date Freedom are refusing to refund and collect the stools.
