Purchased a new house on the Chamberlains Heath site through Bellway, they suggested we used Franklins Solicitors, after sending contracts out to our previous house that we moved out of ( and told them ) we finally got to move in only to get a fine from HMRC as they were late sending in our stamp duty. Yes they will have to pay the fine but it's a ball ache having to contact HMRC to explain. Much better conveyancing company out there

I consulted Sara Marshall and her associates at Franklins and they provided clear advice and explanations regarding the legal process I needed to complete. They were responsive and efficient and ensured that I was well-informed about the different stages of the process. I was clear about what was required of me and the other party in the process.

We purchased our property in March 2026 and instructed Franklins to handle the conveyancing. It was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences we've ever had.

The level of professionalism was shockingly poor throughout the entire process. There were repeated spelling mistakes in legal documents, important paperwork was overlooked, and legal documents were even sent to the wrong address. For a firm handling one of the biggest financial transactions of our lives, these errors were completely unacceptable and caused unnecessary stress.

Communication was virtually non-existent. Candice Spencer was the lead solicitor on our file, yet despite numerous attempts, we were never able to speak to her directly. Calls to the team routinely went unanswered, and when we did eventually get through, the staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and offered little reassurance or ownership of the issues we raised. We were left constantly chasing for updates, with little to no proactive communication from the firm.
The entire process felt disorganised, careless, and lacking in attention to detail. We expected a professional service that would guide us through purchasing our home. Instead, we experienced avoidable mistakes, poor communication, and a complete lack of customer care.

We would strongly discourage anyone from using Franklins for conveyancing. There are many firms that value their clients and communicate effectively, unfortunately, based on our experience, Franklins is not one of them.
