Really had a great time with Alex and the rest of the group foraging amongst the hedgerows and meadows, amazing insights in what turned out to be a surprisingly small area covered in the 3 hour forage, topped off sampling various foraged treats Alex had prepared, yum!

A lovely morning with the very knowledgeable Jim spent walking slowly beside the Sainton Aqueduct. Learned a whole load about foraging and came home brimming with ideas

Emily was really knowledgeable and made the entire experience most entertaining and informative. Really interesting way to spend time in the countryside and I came way with a greater understanding of the culinary and medicinal uses of woodland trees, plants and flowers.

What an interesting workshop! I came with a little experience and knowledge of foraging, but this was a good experience to reaffirm some of it. Examples of where you'd use the plants as ingredients and their health benefits were given, helpful to see how you'd integrate them into your life. Joel, the tutor, was really informative and presented his expertise with quip humour, accommodating to all ages and skill levels.

I'd definitely recommend going for one of these sessions to learn about the plants in your local area or wider region.

We had an incredible guide, Joel whist we went foraging on 25th April 2026 in Lincoln. Full of knowledge, polite throughout and entertaining. We learnt so much and did not appreciate what is available to us. Joel`s nettle cake was delicious as were the syrups. All for a very reasonable fee.

I went with a friend on the forage and cook coastal full day event in Conwy which was hosted by Jim. The whole day was an informative, valuable and fun experience, walking round a certain area within a short distance of the coast, then coastal path for foliage, flowers, leaves etc to taste and then onto the beach at low tide for shellfish finding cockles and mussels. (We had access to a private toilet too!) The cooking of our fresh finds was brilliant as the whole group got stuck in making stir fries, shellfish cooked separately and sushi! Jim also provided extras; gluten free carbs for my friend who is coeliac and home made sauces and a soft or a small alcoholic drink to go with the food! Jim was an excellent guide, answered lots of questions, was highly knowledgable and it was so interesting, without making it pretentious, also adding the importance of environmental and sustainable impact on what to look out for etc. I have the confidence to forage on the coast again and would love to book a woodland one with the same company again soon! Thanks Jim for a brilliant, fun day! Highly recommended!

Went on the Chorlton Water Park foraging walk with my teenage daughter and a friend. Pete was brilliant, deeply knowledgeable about plants and fungi, generous with his stories, and open in a way that made it easy for all of us to engage. The Japanese knotweed segment was something we were both still talking about on the way home, which says everything. A genuinely good afternoon. Would recommend without hesitation, and already thinking about what else we might book.

What a day we had! Jim spoke with such passion and knowledge, what a brilliant expert in foraging he is. We learnt, we foraged, we ate dandelions raw and cooked, we connected with nature and spent the whole session thoroughly enthralled. It was a mindfulness experience. The cooking and sharing the tasks and eating together was great fun and the homemade wine was a really nice treat. Absolutely thoroughly recommend booking, we will go again later in the year to experience a different kind of foraging. Do it!

Fantastic foraging day with Jim, his knowledge and friendly manner made it a really good learning experience and a very relaxed day. Lunch was very tasty, I now feel much more aware of my surroundings when out for a walk. It was a really enjoyable day

Attended a two hour course in Liverpool, Calderstones Park led by Rachael. Loved every minute of it. Very chilled and found lots of edible food. Rachael is very knowledgeable and has a lovely calm energy. She also brought some home-made products made from foraged food - nettle crisps, dandelion honey and others - we were able to sample these as well as some of the food we found on the walk. I attended this event with my 13 year old son who really enjoyed it and has really got the foraging bug now. Thanks so much Rachael and Forage Box x

Wow! What a day we had! Alex is so incredibly knowledgeable and generous with sharing his expertise. I learned so much and can’t wait to put it into practice. Alex was really patient and took care to make sure we all got what we wanted from the day. The feast afterwards was amazing! I will definitely be back to do another day with Alex - can’t recommend him highly enough! Thank you!

Wonderful experience! Rachel was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Very inspiring! It was so lovely to learn that several attendees were returning guests, and I'll definitely be booking onto another tour in the near future!
