Replacement chrome hinges

Came across Fix Trade after searching for Chrome replacement hinges. The price was great for a set a of 3, just what I needed. Instructions and simple to fit, now my doors look great! 👍🏻
From purchase to delivery all smooth and in no time at all.

Shorter than expected

My items arrived today but unfortunately the spindles are not the size I ordered.
My order stipulated 40mm spindles.
The handles sent have 30mm spindles.
I can only assume they are different sizes for a good reason, will these handles still work as they should with the shorter spindles.
