Patagonia Arvostelua 

Har beställt två olika plagg vid två tillfällen den senaste månaden. Var lite skeptisk när jag såg de tveksamma betygen här på Trustpilot, men provade ändå. Är mycket nöjd, paketen kom till mig efter ca 4 dagar, allt har bara varit bra. Har ingen koll på återköp, men om man beställer och det passar går det undan och är inga problem. Mycket nöjd med produkterna oxå, köpte en Houdini jacket (väldigt lätt vindjacka) sedan en Men's R1® Air Full-Zip Hoody.

Ich habe 2019 den Patagonia Women's Tres 3-in-1 Parka gekauft und war zunächst sehr zufrieden. Der Parka ist funktional, bequem und sah nach einem hochwertigen, langlebigen Produkt aus.

Doch nach drei Wintersaisons zeigten sich Löcher am unteren Saum der Daunen-Innenjacke – trotz ganz normaler Nutzung. Die Füllung entwich deutlich sichtbar. Ich habe die Stellen mit geeignetem Reparaturband abgeklebt, doch auch das scheuerte durch. Mittlerweile sind es sechs beschädigte Stellen, darunter auch ein Ärmel.

Die äußere Hardshell-Jacke ist noch einwandfrei, daher wollte ich nur die Innenjacke ersetzen. Aber das ist nicht möglich – Patagonia verkauft ausschließlich das Set. Für ein Unternehmen, das sich Nachhaltigkeit und Reparaturfähigkeit auf die Fahne schreibt, finde ich das nicht nachvollziehbar.

Ich habe mich an den EU-Kundenservice gewandt. Eine erste Antwort kam schnell: Man bot an, eine Reparatur zu prüfen. Ich schickte wie gewünscht Fotos und weitere Informationen – und hörte seit über fünf Wochen nichts mehr. Auf zwei weitere Mails kam keine Antwort, telefonischer Kontakt war nicht möglich, Rückrufbitten blieben unbeantwortet.

Fazit: Produkt okay, aber die Versprechen von Patagonia zu „reduce, repair, reuse, recycle“ werden nicht eingelöst, wenn man weder Ersatzteile bekommt noch eine funktionierende Kommunikation mit dem Kundenservice hat. Leider enttäuschend – ich werde keine weiteren Produkte von Patagonia kaufen.

Product developed fault within a month and sent in an item for repair then after more than 6 weeks, i'm yet to hear anything. Low quality high priced items with terrible customer service.

Just received my repaired 12 year old Down Sweater, excellent quality repair, no charge for postage or repair, the best out there for outdoors.

I’ve been a loyal Patagonia customer for years. Over half of my wardrobe is Patagonia because I truly believed in their values and especially their so-called Ironclad Guarantee. But now I see it’s just empty marketing.

I recently contacted customer service after learning that some Patagonia products may contain PFAS, dangerous and potentially cancer-causing chemicals. I provided the product codes and asked if they could confirm whether any of mine contained PFAS. Their response? “We don’t know, we don’t keep a database.” How can a brand that prides itself on responsibility not know which of their products contain toxic substances?

My main concern was a Torrentshell STY83802 jacket I’ve barely used. I simply asked to exchange it for the exact same model, but without PFAS, using their beloved Ironclad Guarantee. Their answer? A flat NO.

So what’s the point of this guarantee? What’s the point of all their talk about sustainability, health, and ethics if they won’t support a customer who’s just trying to feel safe wearing their clothes?

I will never buy Patagonia again. A brand that claims to care but refuses to take real responsibility for the harm their products may cause.

Impeccable Company and Service.

Recently contacted Patagonia EU about a product i owned that was well over six or seven years old. Whilst not obliged to assist, they have gone above and beyond in supporting my query, and in tandem, the planet.

To summarise, i am not one for throwing or discarding good items away (as naturally this has an impact on the environment) so i asked if it was possible to repair a Nano Puff vest. Patagonia responded, said it was repairable and actually offered this service 'free of charge' even though i offered to pay. The product was beyond any warranty so they could have said it was end of life. Staff brilliantly repaired the bellows on my vest and waistline and i wasn't asked to contribute anything (not even the postage).

In modern times it is refreshing to encounter an organisation with such a good ethos in striving to minimise the impact on the world, whilst maintaining excellent customer service.

Absolute respect to you Patagonia. I plan to get in touch with your rep to see if i can make a small financial contribution to a project or charity of your choice.

Ottimo acquisto (ho ricomprato un pile da donna di un colore diverso da quello che ho già da tantissimi anni (ma che è sempre bello come nuovo) ed è arrivato un capo ancora meglio rifinito (quindi buona evoluzione su prodotti già di alta qualità)

The coat itself is a much lighter green colour than the photo and the down filling is uneven however my issue is with Patagonia's inflexible returns policy. Patagonia advertises itself as a forward thinking and eco-conscientious brand however it doesn't provide modern return methods such as collection from home from customers who don't own a car as they want to reduce emissions. The customer service representative didn't respond to my message for over a week after an initial response and say it isn't possible to switch to use the QR code method which I find highly unlikely due to modern software or arrange a collection from home. Patagonia aren't even registered as a trusted retailer with the Irish national postal service which provides printer free return collections from home. The customer service representative has just said that as a clothing company it isn't their responsibility but quite clearly it is due to EU regulations on consumer purchases and the fact that cheaper brands manage to arrange this. Please organise a home returns collection and refund my money or I will take this complaint further.

Soit-disant imperméable et déperlante
Au bout d'un an d'utilisation je peux dire qu'elle n'a jamais été déperlante et que l'on ait loin d'une veste imperméable, en tout cas de ce que l'on attend pour ce prix.
A l'époque vendue comme une veste 10 000 mm et bien je peux vous dire que c'est mensongé.
J'ai déjà eu des vestes et j'ai encore des vestes à 10 000mm, et mon ancienne veste North Face est encore après 5 ans plus déperlante que celle-ci et une veste de la marque Mousqueton 2 fois moins cher l'est 100 fois plus.
J'avais déjà avisé le revendeur, échange de la veste car revendeur très sympathique mais aucune différence avec changement de veste, ce qui tend à prouver que le problème vient bien du produit.

Had a great experience with Patagonia. My fleece was recently damaged, and I contacted their support team. They quickly got back to me and gave me two repair options: either send it off to them and get it repaired for free (including shipping) or go to a local tailor and get it repaired and then reimbursed.

Overall, the experience was simple and easy. Very happy they have a repair service.

J'ai fait appel au service de garantie de Patagonia pour un produit sur lequel j'avais un soucis (une veste de 2011). Patagonia m'a proposé soit une réparation soit une remise de 40% sur un article neuf (ce que j'ai accepté). Le service client a été à mon écoute et a su m'apporter une réponse à la hauteur de mes attentes.
J'apprécie particulièrement les polaires techniques de la marque et je recommande leurs produits.

Almost a month after returning an item I'm still waiting.on a refund. The customer service team is as useful as a chocolate fireguard. They keep telling it is being investigated but they have all the tracking information. First time purchasing from the store, not the brand. However, after this, never again.

Just poor communication!
They try to be your 'mate' and giving tons of excuses about sustainability etc... but still mess up a simple request for a spare part!

Unbelievable hypocrisy and just poor poor poor customer service!

Non-existent customer service for a very expensive fly fishing vest coming apart after just ten months! Ignoring my request for renewal or repair has just cemented how bad both your products and customer care is and that Patagonia isn't the brand for me!

Net buiten de garantie scheurde mijn jas op een naad. Support heeft dit, na beoordeling op basis van enkele foto's, netjes opgelost door mij een gratis reparatie aan te bieden.

Ik kocht in oktober 2021 een 3 in 1 parka in een mooie blauw-groene tint. Helaas verbleekte de jas enorm! Na 2 seizoenen was hij zo lelijk dat ik eerst bij Bever en daarna rechtstreeks bij Patagonia klaagde. Na lang wachten volgde een aanbod om een nieuwe jas te kopen met korting. Dat past natuurlijk niet bij het duurzame karakter dat Patagonia pretendeert.

Uiteindelijk mocht ik de jas opsturen en dan zou ik een andere jas opgestuurd krijgen, ter waarde van het oorspronkelijke aankoopbedrag. Ivm de immense prijsstijging een heel ander soort jas, die ik bovendien niet kon passen. Toch maar geaccepteerd want een verkleurde jas is ook niet alles.

Begin januari mijn eigen jas opgestuurd en sindsdien gebeurt er niets! Dus nu geen enkele jas. En net na opnieuw aandringen bericht ‘zoals gemeld kan het tot 5 weken duren’. Dat is toch belachelijk? Dan is de winter voorbij!!

Al met al dus zeer teleurgesteld over zowel de kwaliteit van de jas als de geboden service. Voor mij geen Patagonia meer.

I ordered the jacket the 30th of december and it should arrive the 4th of Jan.
The 5th I get a notification that the jacket has been delivered! However I did not receive anything! I wrote to Patagonia right away! Got the usual response, to wait.
I used a lot of energy to get a status from the local post and was told it had been sent back to Patagonia by mistake the 5th
The 8th I called Patagonia and they promised open an investigation!
Nothing happened
The 11th Icalled them again and was told again they would open an investigation. And they would come back to me the following week!

After some more communication Patagonia solved the case and I will receive the jacket in the near future.

The trust pilot score says it all. Failed to get the details right on the label and goods didn’t arrive. Royal Mail not any better and returned the parcel (they say they have..?)
No idea where it is now whilst I am £00s waiting for a refund.. when ? They don’t seem to want to answer the question and stop replying.!
