Excellent customer services
Simple and straight forward interface, super user-friendly and for the lowest monthly price of all companies that offer newsletters. I've never had any issues with delivery of emails or falling into spam. I use landing pages, pop-ups, forms, I have sign up integrated on several platforms, all of which link up with EmailOctopus as standard. Their customer service is excellent, The staff are immediately responsive to any problems, helpful and friendly, no matter what time or day. They're always able to help me. I've been a client for over six years and seen the system develop better and better features, but yet the price has remained affordable, especially for a small time author like me.

My Email Octopus list has been filled with an army of AI-powered fake subscribers that keep signing up every day. This is annoying because Email Octopus' pricing model is based on how many subscribers you have.

The issue you’re experiencing is known as “list bombing,” an industry-wide challenge where malicious actors flood lists with fake subscribers. To prevent this, we implement protections on our own forms and Landing Pages, however it would appear you're not using these and have opted to build your own integration using our API.
When it comes to the API, we cannot implement such protections because the post requests all come from the same IP with the same data. It would block all genuine requests if we were to put in place recaptcha or ratelimiting.
We would strongly recommend using our built-in forms, which include security measures to mitigate these issues but if you want to continue using your custom form built using the API, please feel free to reach out and we'll guide you as to how it can be secured with recaptcha and other filtering mechanisms.
Our pricing is charged on the size of someone's list, however we will always process a refund if it's increased unfairly – whether that's due to an accidental import or being the victim of a 'list bombing' attack.

Happy user since 2021
I've been using Email Octopus since 2021 and it's been a great experience. The UI and drag and drop editor are easy to use and the recent editor overhaul makes it even smoother. I have also found the support team responsive when I had questions. I like their tiered pricing based on subscriber count too; it's nice to be able to adjust my bill rather than pay a flat fee that may be too high for the features I need.

As good as the big players.. but costs less!
Fantastic email marketing platform. I've tried so many over the last 15 years. I've been on a paid plan with EmailOctopus for years and it's as good on functions, design, and ease-of-use as all of the big players in the field... but it costs less! Will never go elsewhere!

Fun and flexible
I'm an indie author and I love Email Octopus. It doesn't feel generic. It feels personal and flexible. It's got everything I need and the creative process is intuitive. I've used the chat which is super quick, friendly and human. Highly recommended.

Email Octopus is the best email platform
Email Octopus is one of the best and only newsletter companies I will ever use. It's simple, has good design capabilities (which can improve but doesn't suck), deliverability is great, and the pricing is unbeatable. Part of the reason I am leaving this review is because I want more people to know about EmailOctopus. I have used MailerLite, MailChimp, and MooSend. And this is my last switch! I have found my place.

Switched for the price but got everything I need. have been using a competitor email…
I have been using a competitor email service for 15 years, during which time I have grown a substantial email list and consider myself a knowledgeable emailer. I switched to EmailOctopus primarily because of the substantial cost savings. However, I have not lost any of the features I use from the other services, Octopus is simple to use, has enough features and the customer service is super responsive and helpful.

Easy to use system and amazing support
I haven't used any bulk email provider before and we needed to find a solution for our small business. We only send at most 300 or so emails - all to clients who want these emails and aren't marketing.
The point is, we aren't a marketing organisation and have little to no experience in this field
To cut a long story short, emailoctopus have been incredibly helpful in setting everything up - which I did while still on the free plan. I have since upgraded to the £8 per month plan and used the system to send several email updates to clients. The majority went through with no issue and the templates available are professional and easy to edit.
We can then see reports as to how many emails have bounced and why and easily resend to these clients if need be.
Emailoctopus support has always responded in a prompt, friendly, manner to every question (and I've had quite a few!). The system is easy to figure out, even for someone completely new to bulk emails.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
