Méfiance! A la réservation on nous a obligé a prendre une assurance supplémentaire car carte de crédit/débit inacceptée (alors que ça passe partout dans le monde). Ensuite 5 mois après j'attends toujours mon remboursement de 205 € pour une caution . Difficilement joignables.
Je donne suite après la réponse de Easy Rent Bulgaria : Pour trouver l'adresse e-mail déjà c'est pas évident, il faut fouiller dans le CGV et les mentions légales du site. J'ai envoyé une demande en expliquant la situation , mais pas de réponse depuis 2 jours. Affaire à suivre ...

Worst experience. They are stalling the deposit. HORRIBLE customer service. They promise to contact me back and it doesn’t happen. DONT BOOK THERE! THEY ARE SCAMMERS

They don't return deposits
I travelled in November 2025, and up to now my deposit has not been returned. My rented car had a tyre burst and reported the issue to the company in good faith.They told me to replace it, which I did, with a brand new tyre. But they still won't refund my deposit because I reported the matter to them. I am not sure about this company. Are they a black hole were deposits vanish for ever?
It is a shame and very sad to see this company resorting to grabbing their customers' deposits, for no good reason. I like Bulgaria and have visited this country several times in the last ten years. And each time I have used rented cars, most of which were almost new. I have never had to beg for my deposits. I think Easyrent are on the borderline of operating a criminal enterprise. There is absolutely no reason why they can't refund my deposit. It is very pathetic to see this company trying to hold on to their customer s' hard earned money. I had full insurance and the damaged tyre was replaced. Maybe the owners of this company are not aware of what is happening. They should take these reviews seriously and investigate their employees. You cannot steal from your customers. This doesn't make any sense!

First of all, this company is very unprofessional in their conduct as evidenced by their tendency to use Trust Pilot to respond to their customers. They fail to resolve issues through normal channels and come here to defend themselves. In regard to my personal issue, I did sent them an email and WhatsApp messages to inform them about the problem I had with the vehicle. They told me to replace the affected tyre and DID NOT advise me where I should go for the tyre change. I used a garage of national repute, who checked the technical information as recommended by the car's manufacturer before they fitted the new tyre. It cost me money to get the car towed to one garage that could not provide a new tyre and then to anothet.The first garage I went to only patched the affected tyre. The second garage replaced the affected tyre as per recommendations by the car's manufacturer. The fact is renting a car with this company proved costly to me. After replacing the damaged tyre they still hold onto my my deposit for the same problem. And lastly, I understand Bulgaria is not an English speaking country but there is a difference between TYRE and TIRE. And lastly, why are most of their cars damaged? One thing I say about this company is that you are guaranteed to book cars with them because they are the least favourite at Sofia International Airport but getting your deposit is like playing lotto! They are the last option, it is a rental company for the desperate!

This rental company surprised me in a good way. The online booking felt clear and simple. At varna pickup, the staff stayed patient and friendly. They walked me through everything without rushing. The car looked spotless and drive well. Fuel usage stayed low during my trip. Returning the car took minutes and I left satisfied. I recommend them.

We were traveling with a lot of luggage, and the varna team were so helpful. They offered us an upgrade car so we could fit everything comfortably. The car was so spacious, clean, and in perfect condition. Great service and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

My family and I chose the full coverage package, and it gave us complete peace of mind during our vacation. The entire process was faster than we thought, No hidden charges, and I must say the staff was very professional and polite. They handled their job perfectly.

The deposit is not returned since October and probably will never will. The car was in questionable state (check engine on, some interior trim missing), but was assured by the clerk that all is fine. From provided contact information - no ne are working (no email, the Instagram or LinkedIn pages dont work, no luck with telephone also).

We had good experience with this great company, Sofia's team were very helpful and polite. No hidden charges, perfect for family trips.

Nous avons loué une voiture du 1er au 21 octobre. On est rendu le 22 décembre et aucun remboursement de la caution. Lorsqu'on a appelé, leur explicatiin était qu'ils o t mal rentré le numéro de la carte de crédit. Deux semaines plis tard, encore rien. Une entreprise à éviter à tout prix!!!

All’inizio del 2024 ho noleggiato un’auto all’aeroporto di Sofia. Ho dovuto aspettare mesi e scrivere varie e-mail prima di riavere il deposito, che poi mi é stato decurtato di circa €30 a causa di una multa per eccesso di velocità. Peccato che Easyrent la multa non l’ha pagata, visto che adesso, a gennaio 2025, il ministero degli interni bulgaro mi ha mandato per raccomandata l’intimazione al pagamento. Non noleggiate con Easyrent, é un’azienda scorretta.

You can not take peoples money/ deposit as you please and not not refund it as stated on your website!!!!!
It’s been over a month and I can’t get in contact. In previous comments from other customers you say “get in contract with customer support” to resolve your deposit issue however you never answer the calls!! Whats your reply to never answering calls and taking customers deposits???

We have book a Renault Clio directly from their website a couple of weeks before our arrival back in September 2025. We have encountered several issues with EasyRentBulgaria:
1) We had an option to choose if we would like to pick up our rental from Terminal 1 or 2 on the website. As we were flying to terminal 1, we chose it as it was more convenient. Nowhere on the website it said that their office on Terminal 1 is not functional and you would have to go and pick up your vehicle from Terminal 2. After we arrived at their office on Terminal 1, there was no one. After several phone calls and waiting over 40 mins in the 30 degrees heat with a baby for someone to pick us up, we arrived at terminal 2.
2) After our arrival at terminal 2, we were informed they do not have available cars and the only car they can give us from the car class we've booked has been in an accident. The car was smashed on the driver’s side to a point where the back door was hardly closing, you had to really give it a push to close (I would have attached pictures if the website allowed). The response from the company was the least I can say disappointing and they have assured us that they will give us a call the next day so we can go back to the airport and swap the car once they have more available. We took the car as we were with a baby waiting for over an hour and a half at this point. Two days later, there were no calls from them on when to swap the vehicles. We have tried to call them multiple times and also called their complains line but no one was picking up the phones. After numerous calls, someone picked up the phone and said ‘Oh yeah, yeah, just come back to the airport to swap the car’. Once we arrived there, they changed our car from one that was with a smashed door to another that had multiple lights on the dash on such as the airbag, service light, etc. But we were rest assured by their staff that the car is coming out of the garage and fully checked so it was safe to drive. Due to not really having any options left, we took the car. After driving it for a couple of hours, we've realised the indicator was not working, we’ve attempted to change the bulb, we found out there is no place to put the bulb in so we continued without indicator for the rest of our hire. We also found glass everywhere under the mats of the car so we assume it was also in some kind of accident before that.
3) I am writing this almost three months later, I still do not have my deposit returned and have attempted to call them almost every day in the last few weeks but I am not able to go through with them.
This company has made our stay in Bulgaria quite unpleasant, lost us hours and hours in waiting, calling and going back and forth to the airport and dealing with unpleasant staff, of course, when we can get in touch with them. However, the nightmare is not finished as it is losing me time now to call them again without being able to go through their customer service number. One thing I can say, I am definitely never going to hire a car from them in the future.
Easy Rent Bulgaria I would have given you 0 starts if I can but unfortunately I need to give you at least 1 star.

It has been more than two months since the car was returned, and the deposit is still being held, despite their promise that it would be refunded within 10 days.
No resolution, no refund, just excuses. Avoid this company.

Worst booking experience ever.
I have booked a car directly from theirs site In the evening. On the following day a guy from their office called me half an hours before picking up the car that this is not the price of the rent and i have too pay must fully comprehensive insurance for additional
150euro cost. This is blackmail over the phone

I've been renting cars with them all the time and so far everything's perfect!!

I booked a Porsche Macan several weeks in advance. When I arrived, I was informed that the car was unavailable due to a “broken windshield.” A different vehicle was then given to another customer shortly afterward, which was confusing. I was offered a standard Audi for the first day and spent more than six hours returning to the airport and waiting for a replacement.

The replacement provided was a 10+ year old Porsche Cayenne in noticeably worn condition. This was presented as an upgrade, but in both value and condition it did not feel comparable to what I had booked.

During the rental period, the Cayenne repeatedly stalled on regular roads and at intersections due to issues related to auto start/stop and other warnings. Multiple system alerts appeared throughout the drive. Regardless of how these alerts are categorized, the vehicle shutting off in traffic created a significant safety concern. When I reported this, I was told that this was normal, which I found surprising given the rental cost.

Another concern was communication. When I attempted to speak with the branch manager regarding the situation, my messages and calls were not returned, which made it difficult to resolve the issue through any formal process.

After the rental, I searched online and found a number of other reviews describing similar experiences with this company, which I wish I had seen beforehand.

Based on my experience, the rental did not match what was reserved, the condition of the vehicle created safety concerns, and the time spent trying to resolve the situation was considerable. I would personally advise future travelers to be cautious and review other options when renting at Sofia Airport.
