My three-bedroomed house is beautifully designed, expertly built and has quality fittings throughout.
In fact, all homes on the Wellington Place site are attractive and the site is well-thought out and maintained to provide countless interesting green spaces for dog-walking and play areas for children. The site is also conveniently situated for shops in and around Market Harborough.

Within my two-year warranty period all snagging issues (and there were few) were addressed quickly and efficiently by a team of specialist technicians who were polite and friendly.

A year after my warranty period ended, I required information on paint used on the outside of my property and Kayleigh was truly kind and supportive.
When the maintenance job became too difficult for me to complete, Davidsons stepped in to assist regarding it as an act of goodwill.

Gemma, with a warm professionalism, quickly booked me in.

Ryan, one of Davidsons technicians, did a superb job. His diligence was heart-warming – it is clear he takes pride in his work, and he is a credit to the firm.

I shall be forever grateful for their support and would not hesitate to buy another Davidsons Home. You are absolutely in safe hands because they care.

From the start of the process to 3 months in our new home Davidsons have been brilliant. Richard from sales can’t do enough for us. Jez from the onsite team again fantastic. We have had a few little issues but all have been sorted. Would recommend Davidson builder to everyone.

The first home my partner and I ever bought, nearly 40 years ago, was a new build. It was a nightmare. We swore we'd never buy a new build again.

About 8 months ago we decided to move from the Home Counties to the Midlands. There weren't many decent houses on the market in the lovely town we targeted but there were three Davidsons developments in progress. Well, when you are house hunting, sniffing around is what you do so we sniffed around.

We were impressed. The sites are designed thoughtfully and characterfully. Some of the house designs are downright quirky (that's a good thing, in our book). We looked around various properties in various stages of construction and the attention to quality stood out. The people we met (not just the salespeople but the site managers and tradespeople) all impressed.

When we identified a plot which ticked our boxes Davidsons pulled out all the stops: price discount, everything upgraded, they'd pay our stamp duty and pay for all the flooring. So we signed up and paid our reservation fee.

And then the nightmare began. We appointed solicitors based on personal recommendation from a relative (the solicitors will be a different review!) and they (the solicitors) were so incompetent yet so arrogant that the whole thing was a disaster and threatened to collapse several times.

Davidsons? They were fantastic. Not only were they endlessly patient but they moved heaven and earth to support us and to try answering every stupid, pettifogging demand our own solicitors made. There were times when I was incandescent with rage and my partner was in tears but Davidsons consistently said "Relax, your house is going nowhere without you, we WILL get to the end of this".

And we did. We agreed a completion date (six weeks after Davidsons said the house was ready) and still our solicitors found new obstacles which had us in despair and Davidsons scrambling to deal with this fresh hell. They threw everything at it, seeking documents and approvals which were actually unnecessary but our legal idiots insisted upon.

When it looked like we would miss the completion date (and maybe lose our sale) Davidsons even told us that, if we chose to break the chain and complete on our sale, they would allow us to move our stuff into the new house while we stayed with relatives until the legal issues got resolved.

And we did it. The night before the completion date Davidsons got the last of the documents to satisfy the idiot solicitors and we exchanged and completed on the same day (which cost us extra in legal fees but, as I said, that's another review).

We've been in the house two days now and it's beautiful. We've found no snags yet (there will be some, obviously, but nothing jumps out) and on our first morning there was a knock on the door. It was the Sales Director, come to welcome us and to apologise for all of the problems (none of which were actually Davidsons' fault).

Throughout this ordeal we have become friends with several of Davidsons' staff. They have bent over backwards for us and kept us going with their encouragement and commitment at times when we were in despair.

Incidentally when the tiling contractors put the wrong tiles in one of the bathrooms, Davidsons told us, showed us, and asked if we still wanted the tiles we originally specified. We said that yes, we did, so they had the whole lot torn out and re-done.

Good people, good company.

Got to say that Davidson aftersales service is pretty poor, like others have said you have to fight to get anything done, and they have left the site now and it still looks a mess My partner who brought the house wished she never brought it

Had the pleasure of dealing with Lucy King who has been nothing short of incredible! Her customer service and her attention to detail and being a real hands on person has won business from another developer! We are buzzing to get in asap and am sure we will be having the best time in our new house! Thank you Lucy for being amazing, been a star!!!

Any problems have been dealt with in reasonable time & site manager (Brendan) has been easily contactable & very helpful in getting any problems sorted

Post occupation are almost impossible to contact, wait weeks and weeks to get remediation work done, on site technicans quality really not the best, almost impossible to get repairs done, Davidson's don't care about concerns e g. Getting Guarantee info for after the first 2 years e.g double glazing, no one really gives a dam, Davidson team did a 4 weeks snagging and 4 weeks fixing but can't see that they did anything considering all the faults I found, the Davidson's aftercare DREAM. As told by the sales team and initial handover person don't translate into reality......
Davidson's don't care 😡

It's raining heavily yet again, as it does every year around this time. It's a 4 year old estate and the water drainage has always been bad around this time. The estate drainage system doesn't keep up during times like these and toilets gurgle, water drains very slowly, sometimes it doesn't and it sits there for a while in the sink, you can't take a shower because the water doesn't drain, the shower drainage gurgles etc. Together with the neighbours (yes, it's not just 1 house with this problem) have contacted Davidson's every year with several emails and calls. We were told that people are pouring oil in the sink (we personally never do) and every year they say they sorted the issue, but we still have the exact same issue. It's so frustrating that there is nothing we can do, especially considering the money we spent and are still spending for the estate to be taken care of.

We wanted to book a Home in Corby, UK (Plot 3) from Davidson Homes. We were dealing with Sales team member Alison. The worst part about Davidson Homes is they take advice from only one mortgage provider named Paul. When spoken to him i understood that he has a limited knowledge about current offers what the lenders are providing.

And Alison said that she cannot take a booking amount from the customer unless Paul (mortgage advisor) confirms to them. They are reluctant to take advise of any other mortgage advisor, thus loosing much of a business.

Seems that this company is run by some unprofessional people. NO Wonder they had to sell there initial business to Barratt.

I have now booked other house (4 BHK) with better facilities then Davidson homes and at the same price. It is important that Davidson homes takes advise from professionals and people who are well aware of current market and not from outdated people like Paul and Alison.

Im sure Davidson Homes has lost so many customers (like me) due to these 2 people, which they are not even aware off. Time to wake up.

Very very disappointed, can honestly say snagging very got completed and what did was of a poor quality. Now dealing with aftercare we’ll say dealing they don’t bother to get back to you. Iv never known a house builder to have so many complaints which Iv read and have myself of stud walls so far out of square it’s embarrassing. I’m not doing this out of anger I just want people to be aware before having to go through the terrible aftercare I have. They arnt bothered once they have your money. Had other new builds before, I’d definitely and I say to people my truth is Davidsons paint a good picture but are one of the worst.

We have 6 doors in our new build that do not shut. I have been advised these are fire doors and as such this is a fire hazard. I contacted the customer services team over a week ago to raise this. I still haven’t been contacted about getting an appointment booked in for this to be rectified. They are taking multiple days to reply to emails & not picking up the phone when I call. I think it might be time to contact the NHBC & HSE.

I visited Grange View in Lower Bardon and was met with Lucy after being recommended by a friend and i explained to Lucy i wasn't looking to move for another 12-18 months , most developers would dismiss me at this point for time wasting however Lucy did not. Lucy explained about future phases and current house types that fit my criteria i am looking for. After more talk with Lucy about Davidsons home i will be definitely looking to buy in the future with these guys , amazing service !

Davidson is crap. It took 7 months to replace a shower door.
Day 1, we noticed the grsss was a mess. There waa fead grass next to green grass. I was told that it would grow together in a year. Day 2 of living there the front yard had to be dug up for a leak. Day 5, the tiles in the shower were so sharp that they cut my foot. Davidson stated that the seal was not covered in warranty. The paint started to peel from the metal surfaces outside. I was told that it would be fixed closer to the 1 year mark. Needless to say, they never fixed that.
BEWARE BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Poor customer service paid a deposit of £500 for a home was told we had 14 days to cool off we decided to not go ahead and asked for our deposit to be refunded.
Fat chance don’t even reply to our request.
Very disappointed give this company a wide birth.

The service level & aftercare is absolutely shocking. 0 process, follow up or action - often take 3+ months to fix any snags and need constant chasing & reminding to get anything done. Other than an odd few individuals, staff couldn’t care less.
