Becky at Davidsons Homes was wonderful to work with. She was thorough, kind, and incredibly informative throughout the process. She made everything feel much less stressful and was easy to speak to. Her customer service was excellent, and she went above and beyond to ensure everything was clear and smooth. Highly recommend!

It’s extremely disappointing to discover, several years after moving in, that incorrect grades of materials were used for the roof installation. Even more concerning was finding waste - including plastic bottles hidden beneath the roof tiles. This not only shows a lack of care but missing key components to the windows installation raises serious questions about whether the roof installation met the required building standards.

Sadly, this isn’t an isolated issue. Over time, various elements of the property have needed repair or replacement due to poor-quality materials and workmanship. Even aspects such as the fitting of windows have shown signs of careless installation, creating unnecessary complications later on. The aftersales care is non existent and Davidsons simply don’t want to know.

The combination of hidden waste, substandard materials, and a clear lack of attention to detail reflects a deeply disappointing approach to quality and customer care.

We had a bad experience with the first sales person but as soon as Lydia took over she ensured that was totally reversed.
We bought off plan, something we’ve not done before, we also part exchanged and the entire process was relatively straight forward.
We have been in for just over 10 months now and whilst yes we have had a few bits on the snagging list everything has been sorted quickly and effortlessly.
We would definitely buy another home from Davidsons - in fact our 21 year old daughter is in the process of doing so at the minute!

From the outset the Davidsons experience has been first class. Very helpful sales lady, professional service , warm welcome to new home and responsive attention to minor snags identified. No complaints

I met Dan the sales manager he is very professional and knowledgeable,helped me through out the whole purchase from start to moving in.

I cannot praise this builder enough. I have been in my home now for over 3 months at Kirby Woodlands and absolutely love it. I was totally supported by Debbie, on site sales manager, throughout the whole process and cannot thank her enough. I had tiny snags, which all got sorted within 1 month, thanks to the after sales team. Paul and Wayne have been amazing, and all the building crew are really friendly and always wave or say hello. Built in surrounding countryside, in a unique home with great neighbours, my partner and I couldn’t be happier.

Ensuite shower leak, water appeared on lounge roof.
Called on Wednesday and problem resolved by plumber after 12pm same day. That part was excellent.

Now getting Davidsons to get someone out to fix the ensuite panel and put back and seal..it's Friday days later..got email saying it's put in the queue for someone to come out but still waiting for an appointment date.

After Service is not what you're expect and it's maybe a 1 hr job but still waiting

An asset to the company

Been in our property for nearly 3 years and the dishwasher stopped working. Zanussi engineer visited and was disgusted that the plug was up against the back of the dishwasher and the resultant heat blew the fuse, scorched the socket and melted the back of the dishwasher.
Trying to get this rectified as either a design or installation error but feel like nobody cares.
How are we supposed to identify a fault hidden behind a fitted kitchen until the fault occurs, it’s almost certainly a fire risk.
I’ve sent photographic evidence but apparently there’s nothing wrong.

Bought a house from these cowboys and I DEFINITELY wouldn’t buy again. If you want to sort everything yourself then go ahead and buy from Davidsons Homes. The workmanship is SHOCKING. Countless emails and phone calls to resolve any snagging issues. Takes months and months to resolve. Avoid at all costs would be my advice. .

The list of problems we have would make you turn and run away from the sales office. The glamorous dream of owning their properties is far from reality.

From flooding your house, garden and the endless issues that you are constantly chasing to have resolved to the excuses, missed appointments and no shows. Poor Workmanship that would leave you speechless that someone would ever think the result is remotely acceptable. They expect YOU to be an expert in all areas of the property eg electrical, plumbing and exterior.

As a owner of many properties, all being brand new builds i have only seen one other developer as bad as this but even they put their hands up and took responsibility. Davidsons just hide behind emails and support staff that must be unskilled plus take weeks before responding, then weeks to arrange anything and then decide not to do the job, do it very badly or cannot do the job. Then of course you have taken a day off work to oversee that its done.

The NHBC will not help and so you are left with hefty bills of repair.

Do yourself a favour and a look at Bellway or anything else but research your dream before buying a nightmare.

21/8/25 - Update...since receiving the "cut and paste" response.

Davidsons hide behind emails. They do not discuss problems, will not except any conversation unless it was received by email and will just dismiss any reasonable argument because the NHBC wont cover it and "its now beyond the 2 year warranty". The fault/leak would not have been noticed and isnt down to pipework; its down to bad tiling. The external paintwork was originally discussed with customer services and agreed. Originally a resolution was agreed but then we noticed further peeling, it was agreed that it would be re-painted. Unfortunately I left it in the hands of the previous customer services whom has since left but surprise surprise, this cannot be located. As I orginally said, warranty isnt worth the paper its printed on.

A very well set up development with endlessly helpful staff. Eileen patiently guided us through which properties were available, how they were configured and when they might be ready.

Alison has been a phenomenal individual and has enabled me make decisions on what I truly desire in a house. Thank you for all the work you have put in and explaining things to me. You provide a service that is so unique and inspiring. Keep the good work up and keep soaring in the service you provide. Anne D

We’ve had the most wonderful experience so far buying our new home at Kirby Woodlands with Davidsons. From the very beginning, the team have been nothing short of exceptional.

Debbie and Alison in the sales team are absolute stars — warm, welcoming, and always ready with a smile. Their professionalism and genuine care have made the whole process feel personal and exciting. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they consistently go the extra mile to answer our questions, offer guidance, and keep us updated.

Paul, the site manager, has also been outstanding. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and pride in the homes being built is so evident. You can tell he truly cares about creating something special for every homeowner. Communication has been clear and timely throughout, and we’ve felt completely supported at every stage.

Although we haven’t moved in yet, we already feel like part of a community thanks to the warmth and dedication of the Davidsons team. We’re so excited for the next chapter and incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done to make the journey so smooth and enjoyable.

We have just moved into our second Davidsons Homes house and both times had an excellent experience throughout the process. Davidsons homes are special and definitely not your average new build property.

There was so much choice in terms of new build availability in our town but without question Davidson were the highest quality and the sales team were by far the most welcoming. We’re now in our dream house and I’ll be forever grateful to Michelle for everything she did to get us in, and anything we’ve needed after!

The gas boiler in our brand new house needed replacing by us for £2,800 just after its 2 year warranty expired. Our gas fitter thought it was much older than this age, so maybe that's why we were only given a short warranty instead of the usual 7-10 years for this brand. We also had to replace the fridge/freezer because the constant "it's not us, it's the manufacturer" - "No the developer installed it wrong" arguments weren't getting us anywhere and life is too short. It's a long battle trying to get anything done and a thoroughly unsatisfactory customer experience with Davidsons Homes. They cut corners wherever they can. Buy from someone else.

The whole team at Davidsons has been fantastic. Attentive to all my needs and requests and made sure every step of the process is verified and ticked off. I couldn’t recommend Davidson’s more for a house purchase!

My three-bedroomed house is beautifully designed, expertly built and has quality fittings throughout.
In fact, all homes on the Wellington Place site are attractive and the site is well-thought out and maintained to provide countless interesting green spaces for dog-walking and play areas for children. The site is also conveniently situated for shops in and around Market Harborough.

Within my two-year warranty period all snagging issues (and there were few) were addressed quickly and efficiently by a team of specialist technicians who were polite and friendly.

A year after my warranty period ended, I required information on paint used on the outside of my property and Kayleigh was truly kind and supportive.
When the maintenance job became too difficult for me to complete, Davidsons stepped in to assist regarding it as an act of goodwill.

Gemma, with a warm professionalism, quickly booked me in.

Ryan, one of Davidsons technicians, did a superb job. His diligence was heart-warming – it is clear he takes pride in his work, and he is a credit to the firm.

I shall be forever grateful for their support and would not hesitate to buy another Davidsons Home. You are absolutely in safe hands because they care.
