Where to start
We are 4 generations of a family, aged 11mths - 86 years old, all 24 of us.
We celebrated our Christmas in beautiful Glingerbank house, staying from 23rd - 27th December.
The house is just amazing, so well presented, everything you could possibly need to cook a huge Christmas dinner, full English breakfasts, Boxing Day buffet and all the meals in between.
From, plates, pans, cutlery, glasses, serving dishes, roasting tins, Yorkshire pudding trays, if you need it, it’s there and more.
Glingerbank is so comfortable, warm, clean, lovely bedding, all towels provided, heating was timed to come on for us, all day from 7am until late at night.
The house is quirky with different staircases, corridors, rooms galore and the lift was invaluable for our 3 Octogenarians.
Fabulous location, we enjoyed a lovely Boxing Day walk up at Hadrian’s wall.
Hot Tub was an added bonus.

Blacksmiths Cottage was ideally placed for local amenities, clean, comfortable and well equipped. No complaints whatsoever.

Lovely accommodation and easy check in with keylock. Beautiful village with nice little walk to local pubs/restaurant and train station if you want to venture further.

Really simple process to book the holiday and was nice to see a last min discount applied as we booked so late.
The Reflections pod was cosy and comfortable when we arrived and was great for the 2 of us, nice and snug.
The hot tub was obviously a hit and we used this alot. The space around the hot tub was just enough for our small dog to have a little wander and sniff about and we were very secluded and had our own privacy which was also great.

The T.V was the only down side for us as we think due to the weather we were unable to get a signal for the free view channels. Although didn't impact our stay at all, when we wanted to just chill before going to bed we found the T.V was not great.

One thing I would warn others is how dark it is especially in the winter! So take some torches that have a good bulb on them, this is where we failed and couldn't see a thing when we went a walk with the dog

Great communication and clear advice

Fabulous place. So comfortable and has everything you need there we were there just a couple of nights whilst our dog had eye surgery due to there being only two specialists in the country so we opted for Penrith the parking can be a bit of a pain if you let it but for 6.10 you get 10 hours parking literally over the road But the beds were amazing the whole place is lovely and if we have to go back we will hopefully be able to stay here again. Amazing place

The property was amazing. Such a luxury finish and situated at the most stunning location. The customer service was great too. Thank you everybody.

Easy booking process, very responsive and most importantly, a beautiful holiday cottage which met our needs as a family.

Absolutely perfect ! The icing on the cake was when we arrived at the lodge there was a home made apple crumble in the fridge, what a beautiful touch and it was amazing thanks to the managers Adams grandma for baking :)

Stayed for just one night, on my wife’s Birthday. We had a lovely time. The boathouse was beautiful. Clean, warm and cosy and very romantic.
Everything we could have needed was catered for, so for us, in a nutshell it was perfect.

Recently used Cumbrian cottages for a get away. Process and price was excellent. A lot cheaper than air bnb prices for the same cottage. Highly recommended

Positive feedback: The house was really lovely, a great position and location and well thought out with a fabulous central kitchen area.

The bedding was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Very handy having a lovely inn nearly with very good food.

We would stay again and would recommend it.

Cons: Unfortunately the house had not had a thorough deep clean for some time and there were areas for improvement. Thick dust behind and under the beds and along headboards, plus we found previous guests lost socks and other items of clothing under the bed. Litter and rubbish behind the main sofas.
Thick dust and thick cobwebs above central cooking area. We advised the rental company and sent some photos, who sent a cleaner back out but she was unable to deep clean as she left a note saying the hoover was broken and awaiting being fixed. The rental company said most people didn't go to the extremes of pulling furniture out and looking behind furniture, but we didn't go looking for fault we were looking for sockets when we moved the bed as the sockets weren't in readily available places.
They said it was due to have a twice yearly deep clean after our stay but we should expect to stay in a 100% clean house for the price we paid.

The cleaner did leave a bottle of wine and some toffees by way of apology which was nice of her.

This beautiful house far exceeded our expectations. There were thoughtful touches throughout the property. I especially loved the bunch of carnations in the kitchen.
The views from every window over the stunning scenery were just stunning
We appreciate the huge wood pile as we had a fire every night.
We will definitely return one day.

Lovely stay at this beautiful and cosy shepherd's hut. A great place to weather a storm!

Accomodation was first class
Well equipped with excellent crockery, etc
Very clean, comfortable and quiet
View of Tarn and wildlife was lovely and a nice flat circular walk

Very cosy, very well equipped, ideal cottage for our 4 days stay in the Lake District. Quiet location but very close to Keswick - ideal for a short shopping visit during the day or restaurant/pub visit in the evening. Convenient parking. Everything about the accommodation and its location was perfect. Would definitely book same accommodation on next visit to the Lake District.

Went for a mini honeymoon break the day after our wedding and we couldn’t have found a better spot.
We stayed in Reflections and it was spotlessly clean. Warm. Cosy. So peaceful.
Only issue we had was no TV for the two nights we were there but this wasn’t really an issue for us as we had an iPad with us and the internet was working fine.
Highly recommended. Great contact with the people on site. Perfect place for a quiet relaxing weekend.

Last minute plans for a girls night away. Booking was easy and we enjoyed our shepherds hut. There was a little mix up when we were almost charged an additional payment for hot tub use but this was quickly rectified. Would use again.

From start to finish, the service was outstanding. The team went above and beyond, offering clear directions, easy access to the cottage, parking guidance, and great recommendations for local activities, restaurants, and groceries. The cottage itself was in excellent condition and thoughtfully equipped, making for a truly enjoyable stay.
