Dress Exhange

A few months ago, I bought a dress from CultMia. I loved it, but it was way too small. Since they’re based in Poland and their policy covers return shipping, they sent me a DHL label. I dropped the package off, expecting a simple return.

A month later, DHL notified me that they could not deliver it, it was on its way back to me and I owed $95 in customs duties—about a third of the dress’s price. They had already shipped the package to Frankfurt, then decided I owed the fee and sent it back to California. Now they refuse to release it unless I pay.

Meanwhile, the CultMia rep kept following up about the return, eager to process the exchange. When I finally spoke with DHL, they confirmed I do owe the customs charges, even though the shipment never made it back to Poland. The CultMia rep then asked me to send the payment link so they could resolve the issue—amazing!! I’m so impressed with their customer service and follow through.

They Cancelled my order days before event…

I ordered a dress 2 months in advance and when I followed up about the status of my order they casually informed me that they will not be able to fulfill it. Horrible experience.

Bad Bad all the way around and their is also more than one dress that are copied from better established designer; not a variation but totally the same print, design, fabric, everything. As it was not enough they have more than one supplier that can be found on Ali Express!!! Avoid avoid avoid! Cult Mia (as if this name is not also borderline copied from Cult Gaia!!!) your customer service is also very very uneven so don’t waist your energy writing a curated response to me here… P.S. I wrote this review for a dear friend who is paraplegic who bought items from them. So sad and untrustworthy…

Easy exchange process & great customer service

I ordered my wedding gown from Cult Mia and ended up receiving the wrong dress at first, but the process to exchange it was super smooth and easy. I received the first dress more quickly than I expected, even though it was made to order and had to be shipped overseas. It was beautiful and great quality, and very similar to the one I had ordered, so I could understand the mixup. When I requested an exchange for the correct item, Cult Mia’s customer service was excellent — Melody was communicative throughout the whole process, and made it simple for me to send back the incorrect dress and get the correct dress made and shipped to me quickly. Despite the initial incident, would definitely recommend!

do not trust the measurements they give…

do not trust the measurements they give you on this website. the dress I ordered came in with completely different measurements they advertised and they will not take any returns. I lost all my money with them and stuck with a dress that is at least 2 sizes too small for me.

My experience with CULTMIA was awful

My experience with CULTMIA was awful. I don’t recommend to deal with them.
I ordered a dress. The price of it 600-650 USD and the size came smaller two times then normal. It’s Asian sizes. When I asked to exchange they said it’s impossible. And I’m disagreed. This policy against the consumer rights. They recommended me to go to tailor shop. But where on the Earth they can make a bigger size almost double from a smaller piece? A super smart recommendation.
Absolutely useless website. Not professional.

Fast Help from Customer Service

Excellent Customer Support (from Melody)

Had the pleasure, through customer support, of being in contact with Melody from the Cult Mia team who has been super kind and helpful. They helped me start the process of getting my dress exchanged for another one (in a different size) and they’ve kept in contact every step of the way, which has been really reassuring. They were very timely, friendly, and understanding. I really appreciate their support and help in facilitating the communication with the designers of my dress. This was the worst shopping experience…

This was the worst shopping experience of my life. I ordered a size medium, and the item arrived (cheap fabric, bad quality)... but it was a size XXXXS. The waist of the dress was measured to be 22 inches in circumference - that is clothing for a small child.

After emailing customer support right away to get the right size in MEDIUM, I was berated and told to measure myself and the dress and to send in naked photos of myself in "natural lighting".

I have NEVER experienced insanity like this in my life with customer support ever. They have no customer support "concierge" nor do they care to help with any issues with the order. It seems like a scam platform that sources clothing from dropshipping in China. It's cheaper quality than something from Target.

The worst part is that it's made for dolls or something. The sizing isn't just a little off. It's completely insanely off. The item that I got had a size 22 waist and was labeled a Medium.

The worst part of the customer experience that made it a scam is the customer support. Asking a customer to take naked photos with measurements in "natural lighting" is completely and utterly insane. They need to do an investigation here for illegal activities.

The reason we ask for pictures of measurements being taken is simply to confirm tape placement and ensure accuracy when resolving sizing issues. Our guide suggests lightweight clothing for best results, but under no circumstances is it required, or appropriate, to send images without clothing. We’re sorry if this was unclear and for any distress it caused.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience.

The dress displayed is wildly different to what I received. This is genuinely a catfish, super poor quality and arrived way too fast to be ‘made to order’. The inability to return dresses is literally because of how poor the quality is.

Gambled and failed: no returns, poor quality

The quality of the material and tailoring of the dress was not at all what I would have expected for the price and for the fact that it was not eligible for returns. I knew something would be off when it was advertised as made to order and that it could take a few weeks to arrive due to the handmade nature of the garment, but I received a “shipped” notification within 48 hours. I could see through the dress to where the edges were sewn off on the tulle, it was not cleverly tucked away or hidden at all. The bust of the dress was not well detailed for the fit in the description, the cups fit very very close together, even though i size up to be on the safe side. The cups are for someone that has either no boobs or boobs that are on a very narrow chest. The color of the dress was lovely, and that was about the only thing that paid off for me. I am 5’7, 137 lbs, typically a size small/ 4 US size. I had ordered a medium because it seemed based on the description measurements that it ran on smaller size. The measurements given were pretty accurate, to be fair, it was just the placement of how they sewed the corset and skirt that was way off. I am extremely disappointed with this experience, thinking i would be getting a high quality fabric and cut for the price, but instead I gambled on the no return policy and i am left with a dress i can never wear.
