Overall
Overall, I have had a positive experience with creditcardGenius. The application and payment process is generally straightforward, and the offers are competitive.
There were a few occasions when a payment was not processed automatically as expected. In those cases, I had to create support tickets and sometimes wait a fairly long time for the issue to be reviewed. However, the problems were eventually resolved and the payments were completed.
I appreciate that the company followed through and addressed the issues. There is still some room to improve the speed of customer support and the handling of payment exceptions, but overall my experience has been good.

It was easy to navigate the website and apply for the card I wanted. I had forgotten to put in my payment details for the rebate but they continued to remind me via email until I did it and they got my rebate to me quickly. Much appreciated!

Kraken + Genius Cash Fraud
They cheated several customers in Canada through their Kraken deal. While they advertised cashback for 200 CAD deposit , they rejected cashback claims saying it was 200 USD deposit. Never trust them.

Due to a miscommunication, the original qualifying transaction amount for this offer was mistakenly communicated in CAD rather than USD, as originally intended. Once this issue was identified, we worked directly with Kraken to resolve it in March 2026. As part of that resolution, we honored the offer as it was originally displayed on our site by paying GeniusCash to customers who completed a single qualifying transaction of $200 CAD or more within 30 days of opening their account.
Customers who provided the required documentation, and were confirmed by Kraken as meeting the original offer requirements, received their GeniusCash. However, if the requested information was not provided, or Kraken determined that an account did not meet the offer's Terms and Conditions, we were unfortunately unable to issue the reward.

Sorry to hear that it's taking longer than expected to receive your GeniusCash! We've checked on our end and were able to confirm that you opened a GeniusCash ticket for the BMO Blue Rewards World Elite application on June 23, 2026, and this ticket has now been resolved.
We strive to deliver GeniusCash to most customers within 30 days of their application date by automatically receiving confirmation from the GeniusCash partner that the application for the product has been approved and that it meets all the eligibility criteria for GeniusCash.
Sometimes we don't receive this confirmation from the bank automatically, and a manual investigation is required. To do this, we send your application details directly to the bank when you open a ticket with us. There are various things that the bank's affiliate department needs to validate such as approval status, that you're a first time card or account holder, that the application was started from our site, etc. As we mentioned in our responses on this ticket, unfortunately, the manual investigation time depends on the bank and it is outside of our control.
Since the ticket has been now been resolved, the GeniusCash was sent today July 30th, 2026 to the email address you have set up in your payment preferences in your Account Settings. If you are unable to see this in your email or are having trouble depositing this, please reach out to us at geniuscash@moneygenius.ca and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
