I tried to make an emergency escape of water claim on a Sunday. After trying online to make a claim and calling numerous times I ended getting my own engineer. I was advised to send various details in order for a possible reimbursement - which I thought was fair. Anyway after a month and a half and chasing for updates, I'm no further forward and still out of pocket. My only experience of making a claim has so far ensured I'll be going elsewhere as soon as this policy term is complete.
Edit: You are absolutely correctly to advise that there is no claim registered. That’s because nobody answered the phone after numerous attempts! I assumed there maybe a live chat facility on the website where I could get an engineer instructed for my repair - sadly not. After attaining my own op due to the emergency nature of my claim. I was advised when I called a day or two after and a helpful lady gave me an email address to message with some evidence of a bill that should not have been mine. After getting responses from, Shane, David, Joel and Katie. I’m still no further forward and massively out of pocket.

I have escalated this with our claims handler, Preferred Management Solutions, and they have advised that they have no record of any calls from you at any point in June, based on the phone number we have on your policy record or from the number you provided here through Trustpilot. We don't have a way to make a claim online for our home emergency product, so I'm unsure what you tried to do online. I also have no record on our system of you attempting to contact coverbaloo directly at any point, other than on Tuesday 9th June via live chat to say that you tried to make a claim on the Sunday but 'nobody answered the phone'. In response, as the chat had disconnected, we called you and gave you the correct phone number for the claims team and advised you to contact them to see what they could do. I can only suggest the same again now, as I'm unsure at this stage who/how you have contacted anybody about this to date.
If you're able to provide us any further information at help@coverbaloo.co.uk then we can try to understand what has happened here.

first time using this company . recommended by my LPG gas company Northern Energy . Well after me waiting in from 11 to 3 pm for an engineer to come . we have no hot water and didn't have any heating either . The engineer never turned up no contact nothing . so went on the chat and she was as slow as a snail I had to keep asking if she still there . apparently the engineer cancelled the appointment . she was supposed to ring me with another appointment and I am still waiting. disgusting absolutely disgusting . my Husband has a heart condition and we are both over a certain age . will be reporting to the my gas company what a rubbish company they have put me onto coverbaloo. Coverbaloo do not reply telling me its 'preferred management solutions ' fault and not yours . I am afraid that you are the company that use them and I have my insurance cover with YOU !!!! absolute rubbish companies the pair of you UPDATE. They never bothered to contact me after the engineer didn’t arrive so I had to contact them again . So it was rearranged for that same day but between 5 and 9 pm and AGAIN never turned up no contact from them at all !!!! They said they would re arrange after I went on the chat it’s now the next day and no contact to make another appointment!! I cannot believe the way we have been treated !!!!

In answer to your reply the engineer did NOT come the next day ! He is due to bring a part to fix it today …… let’s see if he actually turns up !!

Simple and easy to use - definitely recommend.

I was satisfied with what I was getting…
I was satisfied with what I was getting from Northern Energy. My main interest was boiler cover. I think my problem was finding my way through the application when i needed to sort out what I needed and I went down the Wong avenue before I latched on to the discount.

I’m sorry that you appear to have had a bad experience on this occasion, though I can’t determine any information from your review on what has actually gone wrong. We don’t have any note of you contacting us about your policy with us, so I suspect your issue may instead be related to the company who provide boiler services for us, Preferred Management Solutions. I have been made aware of an issue where they had not updated the price on the website for an oil boiler service, and this is currently being fixed.
