UK ETA Scam ⚠️
I wanted to purchase two ETAs for a trip to London with my son. The website looked official, so I believed I was on the genuine UK government website. The advertised price was €20 per ETA.
While entering my details, I became suspicious and checked reviews online. I then realised that it was a fraudulent website.
I immediately blocked my card through my banking app, but they still managed to charge me €355. The payment appears on my bank statement under the name COMMAS.
I reported the fraud to my bank and filed a police report. I now hope to recover my money.
I find it absolutely disgraceful that people can take advantage of those who are simply trying to obtain their ETA. This trip was meant to be a surprise for my son’s 13th birthday, and this scam has completely ruined our plans.

Ik heb 2 ETA’s aangevraagd want 2 keer £20 had moeten kosten maar er is 3 keer 145€ van mijn creditcard afgehaald. Verschrikkelijk en dat dit zomaar kan.

This company doesn't care about legitimate customers. High fraudulent business are using this platform and they provide no protection against them. Even with a lot of evidence, once the payment is done you are on your own.

These guys are a bunch of grifters peddling a bunch of lies and BS! I spoke to a handful of clowns, Allan, Mike Goodman, and Erik Able who put on a show and tell you this will not cost anything and then charge $67 to establish a website. They don't tell you it is a recurring payment of $67 and then they go through this weird Wizard of Oz story that I must be qualified before I can speak to the grand wizard (aka Marketing Director). Stay away from these charlatans and be weary of their clown show.

I've been with FanBasis (now Commas) for the past year and a bit, and they have been great at helping me with fees, disputes, and different payment options. It was my go to platform as a South African who receives payments in dollars. I had a call with Orlando and he was super helpful. He was able to explain all the new additions since they became Commas, overall super happy with the relationship

No other payment processor compares and I've tried most of them. What stands out is the direct access to support, I'm talking a slack channel with the whole commas team, anything that needs to get sorted gets sorted right away, the fees are also negotiable depending on the volume you bring in.

I was trying to buy an ETA to enter the UK and clicked on the commas website, the price of the ETA matched the one I was told ( 20 pounds) but after I payed I got charged 143 euros, and did not receive an ETA.
After having reported this incident to Commas they have proceeded with a full refund of the transaction.

These guys are the truth! Finally found a reliable payment processor that actually pays out on time! Also their customer service is of the best. Highly recommend to anybody who needs to process any sort of payments for their business. Especially bigger ticket items

Something smells fishy with these guys. I'm pretty sure they are up to no good. 2 hrs. of investigative questioning & they can't discuss what they do.

I saw charges on my bank statement for $67 one on April 22 one on April 27 totaling $134. I don’t even know what they charged me for. I have never set up an account to sell anything online. I have no desire to do this. I’m disabled , 70-year-old woman on Social Security. I tried to email their Support, but I never got any replies. Then I went to my bank and asked them to dispute the charges and they denied me. I don’t understand how I was charged or why I was charged
I never got an account. I never logged into any account. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the consumer protection agency. But nothing has ever been done. I’ve never heard from anyone about my money. This is illegal and fraud. I know there are laws that protect consumers but at what point do they start protecting us? I will keep filing complaints to any agency that I can find for help. I won’t stop until I receive justice and my money back.

I’m an 81 year old grandma and have absolutely no need of this product and don’t know how it even went through with the wrong email but I want my money back. Something is terribly wrong here.
