The copywriting course has been an incredible experience! The lessons are clear and insightful, filled with practical examples that make them easy to understand. The assignments were inspiring; I felt like a real copywriter. My tutor, Julian, was always available to help, support, and encourage me. His feedback was thorough and to the point, which boosted my confidence in my skills. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn or improve this capability. I'm eager to put into practice what I've learnt for my clients.

This is the second course I've completed with CMP. (the first was Proofreading and Copy Editing)

The course is very well segmented, with easy-to-digest, up to date and practical learning and advice. It's (as you would expect!) very professionally written, with clear guidance and lots of 'real world' examples to bring everything to life.

The assignments are well planned, and can be used for building a professional profile, which I found to be very helpful as a new copywriter.

Thank you once again CMP for an incredible course at a great price. You've given me the confidence to go out there and set up my own freelance copywriting business!

The Copywriting course provided a fantastic overview of the role of copywriter. It is exactly what I needed to kickstart a new career in writing.
The lessons are comprehensive and include a huge number of links to explore. This gives you the option to delve deeper into each topic, if you have the time.
It is also possible to move quickly through the course by completing the lessons and assignments. I was really impressed by the speed at which my tutor provided feedback, meaning I could continue with the next lesson and keep up my momentum.
The thing I loved most about the course was that it forced me out of my comfort zone and got me writing all manner of copy on a wide range of subjects.
The career advice at the end of the course is brilliant and you get a great discount off future courses on completion. All communications with CMP have been warm and encouraging. I strongly recommend a course with CMP.

The copywriting course is great for beginners and those who are just starting out in their writing career. It covers the basics and is informative and eye-opening, with excellent support from the college and even includes career guidance. However, I felt that a few things could be improved.

Personally, I felt that the course was rather surface level and introductory as each lesson is a Microsoft Word document approximately 5 pages long. Some topics were lacking and could be more in-depth, such as the one on leaflets and brochures. Quite a few links provided in the course were broken as well. I did report those to the course tutor, who responded promptly.

On the plus side, the assignments provided a great interactive element to the course and the feedback given really allows you to know where you stand as a writer. The written assignments can be used as part of your portfolio and the quizzes were educational and fun. My tutor was encouraging, supportive and of great help, giving detailed, thorough and insightful feedback with quick response times of 3 working days.

Another resource that I looked forward to was having CMP’s tutor as a referral on your CV and LinkedIn profile. Unfortunately, my tutor declined my invite to publicly place their profile on my LinkedIn as they wanted privacy since they tutored hundreds of students. Understandable but I was rather disappointed, however they did mention if I needed a referral, I could contact them privately. Not a big issue but I thought I should highlight it as when I signed up for the course, it did mention getting your tutor as a public referral.

After you graduate, there is a career coach scheme, which is highly useful to know your next steps and career direction after the course ends. It includes an extensive questionnaire, CV review and career action plan to be developed with an expert coach. You can also ask the career coach and your tutor for further guidance on career or freelancing opportunities.

Overall, I had a positive experience with the college and I would highly recommend this course for those interested to learn more about copywriting and those who want to launch a career in the field. It gives you just enough to grasp the foundation of copywriting and essential forms of writing in different mediums. Not to mention, the team at CMP are warm, friendly, supportive and helpful.

Well structured course suitable for those either starting out or with a little previous experience. My tutor, Shuna, was excellent both it the quality feedback provided and the fast turnaround allowed me to continue without interruption. The course opens your eyes to the importance a wide range of issues in addition to the basics of grammar ect. such as fact checking, legal etc.

The course was very well organised, interesting and full of useful links, tips and information. My tutor was incredibly helpful and available to answer all my queries. Thank you for a great experience!

I have been wanting a slight change of direction for my career, so after 20 years working in arts marketing, I decided to sign up to the Proofreading and editing course with the College of Media and Publishing. I went into it with some knowledge and experience of proofreading having used it as part of my job so it wasn't completely brand new to me, but it helped as a reminder and the certification will be valuable to my CV.

It attracted me as it was an online course which I could work on from home in my own time and which fitted around the school run and my other commitments. I worked on one module a week for four months so managed to complete the course within a term which was my goal.

I appreciated the clear instructions supplied for each module and the easy to navigate online student portal. My tutor was very approachable, quick at responding to my messages, and offered thorough and helpful feedback for each of the assignments completed. I was particularly interested in the career advice module at the end which I will definitely go back to refer to when the time comes.

All the resources and lessons are downloadable so you can go back to them for future reference. I welcomed the amount of reading involved. Each module is laid out clearly and concisely with links to external sources which you can bookmark. I liked that there was a mix of assignments to hand in for marking, and online tests with multiple choice answers which you could mark yourself.

At the end of the course, the college were efficient in sending me my certification and diploma, alongside some helpful information on how to promote yourself. They also offer a charter mark and listing on their new graduates page which will be useful for self promotion.

I thought the course was good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to enhance their proofreading skills for their career.

The copywriting course exceeded my expectations. It took around 6 months for me to complete the course around my full time job. I liked being able to complete the lessons and assignments at my own pace. My tutor, Elena, always responded very quickly and provided useful feedback. I have learnt so much through this course and feel more confident with my copywriting skills as a result.

Very helpful assistants - friendly advice and clear information given. I have not started my course yet but I feel confident that I will receive the support I need to accomplish my goals.

I have just completed the Proofreading and Editing course. A great experience! It highly exceeded my expectations!

Already a copyeditor and proofreader of Spanish texts, I wanted to broaden my horizons, and English is a language I love since I was a child. After examining different alternatives, I chose CMP and this course.

The course contents covered the different points of the syllabus with complete and up-to-date information, including recommendations of books and links to different kinds of external sources, some of which, in time, led to other sources. Some of the lessons, in fact, were kind of fascinating trips to me. I really enjoyed going through them. And the practical assignments were always challenging. It was great that, no matter how many errors or other situations I could find in them, there was always something else to be noticed! I really liked that.

The tutorial support was also noteworthy. Julian always provided corrections, as well as respectful and enriching feedbacks, in a timely manner. And just as remarkable was the student experience support provided by Olly and Jake.

I have equipped myself with highly useful skills and in a comfortable environment. I warmly recommend it!

I really enjoyed the CMP copywriting course. As a professional editor/writer, it was a good 'reminder' of some of the basics, while picking up hints and resources along the way. I worried it might be too basic, but the assignments were challenging and fun. Practising different types of writing was really useful, and leaving the course with a ready-made portfolio was a huge bonus!

My tutor always responded within three business days with thoughtful feedback. It was both a confidence boost and a great way to learn how to improve.

It's a lot of self-directed work, but that was clear from the start. At the very least, I was able to do it in my own time - hugely helpful on top of a full-time job.

I am a single mum with part time work and part time online uni. I needed something to spruce up my writing and editing skills. I haven't gone through the entire course but i have received my very first bigger mark already. Happy is an understatement!
