I recently had the chance to try CodeMonkey, and I was really impressed with how engaging it is for kids.

What stood out to me right away is that it’s completely game-based, so kids are actually solving challenges and learning as they go instead of just watching lessons. It makes coding feel approachable and fun, even for beginners.

I also appreciate how it builds skills step by step, so kids can start simple and progress at their own pace. From an educator perspective, the structure behind the platform is really strong, and it’s easy to see how it supports problem-solving and logical thinking.

Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking to introduce coding in a way that feels both meaningful and engaging.

As a reading specialist, I love finding tools that feel like play but are actually building really important skills, and CodeMonkey is one of those! It strengthens sequencing, problem-solving, and attention to detail, which are all key to learning to read. Kids stay engaged, feel successful, and don’t even realize how much they’re learning. It’s such a fun and meaningful addition to any early learning routine! I definitely recommend it!

I signed up for a year for my grandson. We had a great time with the monkeys and he looked forward to solving the puzzles. The exercises were clear and well explaned and even though his english was not that good he still understood. Sadly he has moved away so I have had to cancel my subscription but I would recommend CodeMonkey to grandmothers everywhere.

My fourth grade students are getting very proficient with coding thanks to Code Monkey. They have learned coding fundamentals and have applied them to coding actual robots with my STEM activities!

Overall CodeMonkey is a highly engaging coding platform that makes it super simple for students to move at their own pace through lessons that are specific to where they are individually. The monthly challenges are an added bonus that provide students with the opportunity to create something fun & seasonal. As a teacher, I do wish the back-end was easier to navigate. I'd love to see more individual student data.

My daughter loves it because it’s game-based, so she’s learning how to code without the boring lessons. CodeMonkey has definitely built my daughter’s confidence with constant progress across their many different courses, including some of their new ones like Digital Literacy. Coding is a big part of everyone’s future, I think CodeMonkey opens endless doors of opportunities for children. and the best it can be use in a table or computer.

First year using Code Monkey,  I am finding that the students do like it. I do appreciate that on each level, they will have a YouTube video for the students to watch if they get confused or forget how to achieve the goal. As a teacher using Code Monkey for the first time, I found it challenging to learn the system. I would have definitely benefited from training before beginning this platform. So I encourage anyone trying for the first time see if they offer training with your membership.

We’ve loved using CodeMonkey for our very advanced 3-year-old. She’s not your typical 3-year-old and picked it up quickly with very little help from us. The games are intuitive, fun, and actually keep her engaged while learning real coding concepts.

It’s been totally worth the subscription—she’s spent hours having fun while problem-solving and learning. Highly recommend for curious, advanced little learners!

This is a great coding game for kids! Since it was game based learning my son was eager to play. I love watching him do the activities knowing he is learning a great tool for the future! Love that there is typing on it too. This is a great addition to our homeschooling day!

CodeMonkey is a wonderful platform for children who are just starting to code. It is very easy to use, not much adult help needed.

As an elementary teacher, I love how Code Monkey makes coding fun, accessible, and truly engaging for young learners. We didn't go beyond the 7 day free trial because my son wasn't keen but I think for many it could be a good intro to learn proper coding. Its good that there is a 7 day trial and the company were very responsive to requests when I had trouble cancelling which is a good sign they are trustworthy, and so worth giving a go.

As an elementary teacher, I have been using Code Monkey for the past 8 years. My students always look forward to the lessons and enjoy learning on their own. Students are engaged and enjoy the challenge themselves. I have 4th graders learning Python! I recently needed to cut one of my subscriptions. I chose to keep Code Monkey because I learned it added a Typing aspect and digital citizenship lessons. I was sold! Now we use it for all students K-4. Thanks, Code Monkey!

My students absolutely loved code monkey. They loved how they gave five learning and they were able to learn basic coding. There were great themes for the different seasons and holidays as well. I as a teacher enjoyed that they’re having fun, but also loved the extra components on digital literacy. This is a hard concept to teach in this. Made it much easier and fun for the students!

We have been coding with CodeMonkey with my eight-year-old for the past year. Love the way it blends game-style challenges with actual coding tasks - it makes everything feel fun and engaging. They’ve also added new courses on computer science and artificial intelligence, which are really useful. We are definitely going to continue using this app.

I have been using CodeMonkey in my class for the past year and I have connected with their team immensely. The growth I've seen in my students interest in my class has also risen, as they find themselves being challenged but overcoming the challenges and enjoying the process of learning through the gamified coding program. The support from the CodeMonkey team assisting with my students and class support has been just as amazing, and I can't stress how pivotal and transformative even just a few minutes a day of exposure to the program has catapulted my students in areas they've never been exposed to before, and now they're capable of excelling in.

I really love how interactive this game-based coding program is! My student had a blast figuring out each level and it was cool to see her work through levels that were challenging for her!
The coding games are 5/5!
The only thing that was tricky for me was the teacher side of things. The website was a bit difficult to navigate to set up and share class information with students.

Overall, really great program!
