AVOID THESE DANGEROUS CHANCERS Purchased a stihl chainsaw from these cowboys
Saw is not working and does not produce a spark
Chelford farm supplies asked me to return the saw i told them i cant empty all petrol or oil from the engine and its illegal to send combustible fluids like petrol and hazardous pollutants like bar oil yet they told me to again and so it at my expense
When i said i would not as this is illegal they said that they would arrange this instead still making me complicit
They have told me that this is the only way i will be refunded and that they have no intention of compensating me in any way
Avoid these chancers at all costs
I will be reporting this to the HSE
You initially told me told me to return the saw at my expense and then you said you would arrange a courier who carry the fuel safely when i asked for proof that it would be with a approved carrier licensed to carry flammable liquids you sent me a screen shop of DPD telling you they will not carry petrol and of you attempt to do so you will be liable to pick the package up from their depot and you would be reported you then asked me to ho ahead and package it ready for return, your full of lies and devious and dangerous practices and asking your customers or conning your customers to along with your dangerous practices
I will attach that here for all to see
I have all the documented evidence showing your replies to be a pack of lies

Start to finish From you telling me to arrange the return at my expense after i made you aware its illegal to courier an engine that the fuel and oil cant be emptied of when i refused to take part in this illegal activity you said you would arrange the courier and i said i would need proof its licensed to carry flammable liquids and as proof uou sent me a copy of DPD telling you it would under no. Circumstances carry flammable liquid and it you attempted to do so the driver would refuse to pick it up and if it was found later you would be responsible for picking it up and would be reported and that you would be responsible for any damage or injury caused. You was told the nearest Stihl dealer would entail a 2 hour drive and is not open open on the weekends the only time i would be free to take it so that is not reasonably practicable ( time off would cost more than the saw) I also told you i still grieving for the recent loss of my wife a NHS nurse for 44 years and worked on a covid ward from
Start to finish of the crisis apart from
The 2 times she caught it herself i told you from you are adding to the stress of loosing her because i wanted the saw to clear an allotment that we let go during her illness and that it was my intention to do this to help my mental health yet you never as much sent your condolences like normal people so because your sole goal is sell non working machines and grab what you can
You have told me
7 times in 7 emails to send the engine with the fuel by courier and you have a blatant disregard for any ones safety from selling faulty chainsaws to sending flammable petrol and oil by post when you know its against the law( how many times have you done this in the past) HSE will get to the bottom of it all

We are sorry that you feel this way, but we would like to clarify some important points for anyone reading this review.
We have not refused to accept the chainsaw back, nor have we refused to refund you.
Since you advised us that residual fuel/oil remains within the chainsaw, we have been in direct communication with our courier regarding the appropriate transportation requirements. We have also provided you with copies of the written information received from the courier.
We have confirmed that we will arrange the appropriate return of the chainsaw at no cost to you, and we are not asking you to dismantle the machine or do anything that could affect its warranty.
We have also offered the alternative option of taking the chainsaw to a local authorised STIHL dealership.
Furthermore, we have confirmed in writing that once the chainsaw is returned to our premises, the agreed full refund will be processed, which we have advised we will aim to complete on the same working day.
At no point have we stated that you must return the chainsaw at your own expense in order to receive your agreed refund. Our ongoing correspondence has been to establish an appropriate return method taking into account the residual fuel you have told us remains within the machine.
We appreciate that this has been a frustrating situation, but we remain committed to arranging the return at our expense and bringing the matter to a conclusion.

Surprisingly unhelpful level of service…
Surprisingly unhelpful level of service in coordinating a courier from a company with generally good reviews. Representative not willing to help with coordinating a delivery that is now 2 days overdue. No attempt to deliver on due day despite courier tracking report and no attempt on the following day. Representative unwilling to contact courier to ensure safe delivery so the needed item will be very late, if delivered at all.

I have been meaning to write this review for the last year I think.
Chelford equestrian supplies are simply awesome. Every single one of the wonderful staff can never do enough or care enough. They are knowledgeable, kind, supportive and even always review the price match too. Even before you would ask or think about it. Gabby, Abi and all the girls are really a credit to the company. I honestly cannot recommend or shout about them all enough. I have to also highlight the farm supplies too with one of the wonderful gentlemen from there helping the girls open up early one morning to let me in to get something urgent for the horses - I don’t know any retail service that would do this for a customer!

I contacted Chelford Farm Supplies recently as a usually good quality item hadn't lasted as long as expected and I was enquiring how to raise this with the manufacturer. Georgia Cadwell dealt with my query and was superb. She sorted everything out for me and the communication was excellent. My item is now retuned to manufacturer free of charge and I have received a full refund from Chelford. I couldn't have had a better experience.
