Good programs ruined by excessive breaks, not just adverts but continuous trailers of the other programs, over and over again. It's like brainwashing.

20 minutes of adverts is too much for one program!!
I was trying to watch a programme called Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday on the Channel 5 App. I paused the program for around 2 minutes, only to be faced with 11 adverts when I returned. After watching these various adverts for around 5 and a half minutes the program restarted. Two minutes later the first scheduled advert break, ANOTHER 11 ADVERTS LASTING ANOTHER TOTAL OF 5 MINUTES 30 Seconds. I lost interest in the program and switched off. If I had watched the whole program of 45 minutes, I would have been subjected To around 25 minutes of adverts. UNACCEPTABLE!!

If there is anyone reading this from Channel 5 please take note. Your standard of programming is not exactly top drawer, When there is something that is mildly interesting to watch on C5 you flood the zone with adverts driving away the very people who the advertisers are paying for us to watch their adverts.

Don't get me wrong, I love adverts, at one point in time they were much better that the programmes that were shown. But to be subjected to 5 and a half minutes of adverts every 8 minutes is too much. I for one will not be watching your App again unless you change this..

Just keeps freezing and going to 10 adverts. Pointless app. Forget it

Impossible to watch, freezing on adverts. Wasted an entire evening trying to stream. I never have any issues with other channels

Like others have reported, C5 is absolutely rubbish, ridiculous amount of adverts, constant crashes, and poor customer service as nothing changes despite the huge number of complaints!

There is no point investing in watching a channel 5 programme while the app is so poor! Constant crashing, part way through adverts then freezing and starting ads again etc. If you are lucky (!) and finally get to the programme, it may only last a few seconds. Same for both tv and mobile app.
Improving the app would easily boost viewing figures

Tried to watch a new documentary last night.
I was really looking forward to it, but a bit nervous ofvthe way Channel 5 ruin programnes with excessive adverts.
I started watching my programme and within a few minutes Channel 5 decided it was time to insult me with advert after advert after advert.
The adverts were on longer than the programme itself. I initially suffered this punishment, thinking things would get better, but no, about 10 minutes later the same happened again. At that point I gave up and turned it off.
Why do Channel 5 not see that this is excessive and destroys viewers satisfaction.
Yes, I appreciate they have to play belittling adverts, but to this extent is pathetic.
I will no longer watch channel 5 now to avoid the same disappointment.

The app is continually crashing, having to restart and sit through interminable ads until......eventually we might actually get to watch the chosen program.

Absolutely appalling. Bad mannered and badly conceived.
What our Royals are saying in private moments are nothing to do with anyone else. I am surprised at Channel 5 which usually has some good programnes.

How this pile of trash channel is allowed to continue is beyond me.
Such a shame as some great programmes just unwatchable. My5 is diabolical. Crashes after every 5 minutes of watching. What's the point of it if nothing is watchable. Buffering. No signal. Crashes every 5 minutes. Never reverts back to where you're watching from. Improve it or pull it. Id give a minus if there was one

I'm really pissed of with this channel. It won't let you see a episode until after it's aired on tv. With other channels you can view before it's aired. Sick of it

The worst app I have ever known constantly crashing error messages then have to go back to the start of the programme and the amount of ads are ridiculous watch at least 7 then it crashes again so they then go back to the ads whoever developed this app needs sacking

A very poor commercial TV channel, on the television and Freeview. C5 should be closed down. C5 is more interested in revenue from commercials than providing a stable service. I have stopped watching the channel.

30 minutes of adverts added to a one hour programme. Totally unacceptable and I will not bother to try it again.

I am trying to watch A Serial Killers Wife , I am not even half way through and I have been forced to watch 45 adverts , yes 45 useless woke adverts .. that has to be a record .. incredibly greedy

Constantly buffers, constantly crashes, causing a TOTAL re-boot of your ENTIRE system by having to unplug EVERYTHING and re-set. Subtitles are abysmal and just disappear from the screen so, if you NEED them - good luck! 😡
It's a pity as some good choices of watchable TV. Just a pity you can't watch them!! 😡

I agree with everything being said. I have completely stopped watching anything on My 5 because it frequently just doesn’t work. Plenty of great tv out there on ITV, BBC iPLayer, Channel 4, as well as Apple, Netflix and Prime. I wonder how long My 5 will last……..
