I had a great class with Luca who is a talented and patient chef. I learned to make two types of pastas and tiramisu. It was a wonderful experience. Luca was very hospitable and made sure to make his student feel comfortable by teaching great methods to making these delicous dishes.

Quello che doveva essere un tour di un'ora e mezza si è trasformato in un'esperienza di cinque ore! È stato divertentissimo imparare a preparare la pasta e il tiramisù; anche i miei figli di 9 e 10 anni si sono divertiti un mondo! Lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque!

From the moment we arrived to Maria’s home we were warmly welcomed! Maria gave us exactly what we were hoping for, an authentic Italian experience. Maria was patient, kind and so full of tips I cannot wait to try back at home and share with my own family! Thank you Maria, the drive was definitely worth it!

From the moment we arrived at Cristiana and Stefano’s home, we felt less like guests on a booked experience and more like family they had been waiting to welcome. Cristiana came out waving enthusiastically as we tried to figure out where to park, and within minutes we were laughing. That warmth never stopped.

Their home is absolutely beautiful, a lovingly restored Italian farmhouse with an olive grove, chickens, an original outdoor kitchen and an incredible old cellar filled with treasures they discovered while restoring the property. Cristiana proudly showed us around, sharing the history of their home and family. There was something about it that reminded me of my grandparents’ home, not because it looked the same, but because it felt the same. Warm, welcoming and full of life.

Then we cooked together.

I have always struggled making spaghetti - tearing the dough while rolling it thin. Of course, I managed to tear mine in Italy too! I was frustrated and trying to get it just right when Cristiana simply patched the tear, showed me how to turn and roll the dough, and reminded me, “Don’t let perfection rob your joy. Cook with love.”

I will remember that long after I have forgotten how many cups of flour we used.

We made tagliatelle together and then gathered around a beautifully prepared table in the cool cellar for an incredible multi-course dinner. We enjoyed antipasto, wine from the family vineyard, our homemade tagliatelle with ragù, a delicious polenta dish, dessert and hours of conversation and laughter. When Stefano came home, he joined us, and somehow the evening became even more like dinner with friends.

We stayed for more than four hours, and never once felt rushed.

That may have been my favorite part of all.

Cristiana and Stefano didn’t simply serve us an Italian meal. They shared their home, their food, their stories and a little piece of their life with us.

If you are looking for an experience that allows you to step beyond sightseeing and spend a few wonderful hours experiencing the warmth, food and hospitality of an Italian family, I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Come hungry.

Fabio was an excellent instructor! He was very personable and provided an extraordinary environment to taste and make some of Liguria’s most popular dishes!

The chef's home was grungy, dirty and he looked very unclean. His home made us too uncomfortable to stay and trust that the food was prepared and taken care of properly.

This was truly a lifetime experience to remember. The impact Mauricio and his teaching and passion for cooking had especially on my teenage son was invaluable. The next day he walked me through what we'd learned, step by step in great detail, with hand motions so excited to cook what he'd learned for our family and his girlfriend back home. Truly magnificent

Cristiana is a gem! She was so hospitable despite my tourist challenges. I emjoed so of her homemsde mozzerella, emjoyed vino amd recleived a book i could take with me!

Mariangela and her husband, Nino, were such warm and welcoming hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt as though we were visiting good friends rather than meeting someone for the first time.

Their beautiful home is classic Italian in every way, surrounded by lovely gardens where they grow their own grapes and vegetables. It was a pleasure to experience such an authentic and welcoming part of Italian life.

For dinner, Mariangela guided us in preparing Pasta alla Nonna and stuffed sardines. Both recipes were absolutely incredible—so delicious and memorable that I will definitely be making them at home.

What made the evening even more special was the kindness they showed in celebrating my birthday with sparklers and a beautiful dessert. It was such a thoughtful surprise and made the experience truly unforgettable.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience that I will treasure and never forget. I sincerely hope that if Mariangela and Nino ever visit the United States, they will make time to visit me. They will always have a friend here in New York. ❤️

De locatie was geweldig, midden in de natuur. Alles stond klaar bij aankomst. Heerlijk gekookt en gegeten. Ook aanrader om met kinderen (tieners) te doen die van koken en lekker eten houden.

First of all, we made excellent food. More importantly, it was a wonderful family experience. The hospitality was exceptional, and we spent a lovely afternoon learning about the region from local people who shared so much more than just how to make pasta and pesto. Their stories, traditions, and insights into the area made the experience truly authentic and memorable. Highly recommended.
