The cooking lesson was great. However, the experience was a bit marred by the rude greeting upon our arrival. Our car service was late picking us up. Not our fault - we had arranged the service weeks prior with plenty of extra time. We were therefore 15 minutes late to arrive. The host scolded us for the next 10 minutes about being late as there was another group arriving for a lesson after us and we wouldn't have enough time. Okay - understood - it is not ideal - but she would not stop about it. I was shocked at how rude and abrasive the host was. At one point I straight out asked, 'do you want us to just leave' because I was not going to stay and be spoken to so rudely. The lesson was great. The food was excellent. And we finished and left 15 minutes early at 2:45pm.

They mark this as a “local” event the day before they told us the “locals” house we were going to be going to was almost 30 minutes away by taxi. It would’ve cost us another $160 just to get there and back not so local. So we couldn’t even go

Anna Maria and family made our cooking experience a day to remember. The moment we arrived they made us feel like family. We were a group of 12 and they made sure we all were involved with the cooking process. The food we prepared together was amazing. We were given the recipes to try and recreate at home.

We had a lovely time and this made our time in Sicily so memorable.

Everything was honestly amazing, the food, the hospitality, the cute animals! We had the most incredible time - it was a highlight of our entire trip.

Met by wonderful hosts Cessarine Patrizia and husband Luca in their home. Both paid attention to everone present and we were a large group (12). Patrizia really involved everyone in the class and made sure they understand what is expected of them. She shared her knowledge unconditionally with us.

We booked an evening with Cristina in Bologna, through Cesarine, and it's the part of our recent trip to Italy we keep talking about. My wife and I had the experience to ourselves for a special anniversay. We made tagliatelle and tortellini by hand, the tortellini much harder than she made them look. Then we sat down to eat what we'd made with a cream sauce for the tortellini and ragù alla bolognese for the taglietelle. All of this paired with excellent wine and wonderful company.

Cristina talks about Bolognese cooking the way people talk about family, and her warmth is what we'll remember long after the details of the pasta fade. If you're in Bologna, you must book this.

Absolutely loved learning how to make local dishes from someone local! She was incredibly kind, and had many other insights for us during our visit. I highly recommend Anna specifically for this. Thank you for the lovely memory we will get to revisit every time we re-make these dishes.

Giuseppa warmly welcomed us into her home in Gallipoli with delicious freshly prepared focaccine, immediately making us feel like part of the family. She then guided us through the art of making traditional orecchiette and spinach tagliatelle, sharing fascinating stories about the history of the ingredients and their connection to life in Puglia.

Along the way, she prepared a wholesome tomato sauce to accompany the pasta we had made, which we later enjoyed together over a delightful lunch. To finish, Giuseppa treated us to a wonderful homemade tiramisu, accompanied by even more personal anecdotes and local insights.

If you truly want to experience the authentic flavours, traditions, and hospitality of Puglia, I highly recommend taking a cooking class with Giuseppa and the Cesarine community. It was much more than a cooking lesson, it was a memorable cultural experience.

We hadden een erg fijne ervaring met Cesarine. Het was allemaal goed georganiseerd en je kreeg voldoende informatie op voorhand.
Wat het vooral uniek maakte was de geweldige gastvrouw en gastheer: Fabiana en Andrea. Zij zorgden voor een gezellige en open sfeer en heetten ons welkom in hun huis. Erg hartelijke mensen!!

Corinna was a gracious host, and her home was lovely. We had fun learning to cook three dishes, plus tiramisu. I’d recommend this experience and Corinna specifically for anyone who wants a personal exchange and to see how real people live and cook. It made this part of Italy special and personal for us.

Had the best time with Cinzia! We started by heading to purchase some fresh cheeses and then went on a beautiful walk through the mountain and enjoyed some gorgeous views. We made incredible food at her house together and enjoyed everything afterwards. Between the stunning location and time with Cinzia, I couldn’t recommend this experience more!
