Tessa was so kind and sweet. She met us at the market, gave us a mini tour of the area, and then opened her home to us. We had so much fun making the tiramisu and gnocchi, and even more fun eating it with her and her friend. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Venice.

When I travel, I like to take a cooking class. Cesarine, in particular Marco, provided one of the best experiences like this I've had. First, the choice of ingredient (artichokes) was inspired. Second, Marco showed me some tricks and hints to make truly Roman-style artichokes. Last, Marco himself was a delightful host and I spent a very pleasant afternoon with him, feeling more like a friend than a customer. I can highly recommend the experience.

I also have some advice. Marco's apartment is by Cinecitta south of Rome. Rather than pay for a taxi and Uber, take the Metro Line A to Cinecitta. The apartment is just around the corner, and Marco told me that he is glad to meet you at the Metro stop. As long as you're in the area, there are a few out-of-the-way sights you should visit, including the Cinecitta Museum and the Park of the Acqueducts. I think they get less attention because of their location, but both are worth visiting.

Novella is wonderful and we had a sweet time making pasta together at her home. We couldn’t recommend it more. It is the perfect way to connect with locals in Lucca and share a yummy meal together.

Our experience with Annamaria through Cesarine was one of the highlights of our time near Lake Como.

We first met her at the markets near Varenna, where she walked us through the stalls and explained where many of the ingredients came from. It was fascinating to hear about the farmers, the cheeses, and how the seasons shape what people cook in this region.

After the market visit, she welcomed us into her home. She offered wine, cheese, and other fresh foods and immediately made us feel comfortable. Her home is beautiful, and her two dogs added to the warm, relaxed atmosphere.

During the cooking portion, she carefully explained the ingredients and techniques as we made fresh pasta together with a simple tomato basil sauce. She also prepared a handmade tiramisu that was incredible. Throughout the experience she shared stories about Italian food traditions and told us about her hometown of Milan, where we will be staying soon.

She also went above and beyond after the class by sharing a recipe file with us and offering thoughtful recommendations for the rest of our stay in the area.

By the end of the afternoon, we truly felt like guests in her home rather than participants in a class. It felt as if a family member was teaching us a treasured recipe. If you’re visiting Lake Como and want an authentic and welcoming experience, we would highly recommend spending time with Annamaria.

We had a truly wonderful evening with Lara and her family. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed into their home, which created such a genuine and authentic Italian atmosphere. It felt less like a cooking class and more like spending time with friends and family.

Lara guided us patiently through every step of the process of making pici and ravioli from scratch. What we especially appreciated was that we were involved in each stage of the preparation, which made the experience both educational and very enjoyable. It was fascinating to learn traditional techniques and small details that make homemade pasta so special.

Lara’s husband, Daniele, also added a wonderful touch to the evening by sharing interesting stories about local wines and recommending beautiful places to visit in the area. His insights made the experience even richer and more personal.

The food we prepared together tasted absolutely delicious. After learning how much care and passion goes into making fresh pasta, we can truly say that nothing compares to homemade dishes prepared in such a warm environment.

This was not just a cooking class but a memorable cultural experience that we will remember for a long time. Thank you for such a special evening — we would love to come back again in the future.

Laura was an excellent instructor and a wonderful host. The class took place in her restaurant in Perugia which is in an old cellar, a uniquely interesting space! She explained everything clearly and we had a really fun time making pasta and tiramisu together. Afterwards, we dined on the delicious food we made and had a lovely conversation with Laura and her husband. They are a wonderful couple and we would love to return to see them next time we are in Perugia.

Rosa is an excellent teacher. She welcomed us into her home and provided a fun and instructive experience. The coffee, appetizers, tiramisu and tagliatelle (along with her bolognese!) were all delicious. We are excited to try pasta making at home! My husband and I were in Italy for 12 days and I have told more than one person that THIS was my FAVORITE experience in Italy!

Fantastic. We were picked up from Como city and driven out to the family's house. In their kitchen we cooked and at their dining table we ate! Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Chef Paola! From the very first moment, she made us feel welcome — like guests in her own home. Her warmth, passion, and deep knowledge of traditional Bolognese cuisine truly made the experience special.

The masterclass was perfectly organized, engaging, and incredibly informative. Paola didn’t just teach us recipes — she shared stories, traditions, and little secrets that you won’t find in cookbooks. We learned how to prepare authentic dishes from Bologna with attention to detail and respect for local ingredients.

Everything was explained clearly and patiently, and the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and full of laughter. It felt genuine and personal, not just like a cooking class but like a cultural immersion.
