Je vais vous parler en anglais. I am totally pleased with the patience and flexibility that the school has shown me when my plans kept changing. Very satisfied, especially since I was a student in the school over a half-century ago, an enrollment that kept me out of the Vietnam War at the time!

Unfortunately, this was not a good experience for me. In spite of the staff being nice, I took the intensive course to further my French, expecting conversational and practical in the lessons. I even called the school to clarify but that’s not what I got when I arrived. I was then told 3 days in that the course was actually focused more on furthering me for higher education through “writing” and that I should talk to my teacher, who wasn’t about to change the curriculum for me when she has an entire classroom of other students. Many of them were also disillusioned with what they were experiencing. I was told i’m one of the administrators that this was “probably not the school for me.“ Not to mention the money but I spent on an apartment and the cost of living to go to a school that couldn’t meet my needs of becoming more fluent in the language. I was told a refund would not be possible after 2 days of school in a 5 week course. Keep in mind, this is an independent facility and NOT actually part of the Sorbonne University. They only piggy back off the name. Buyer beware.

This is my second summer taking the course at CCFS in Paris and online as well. The teachers are great, well knowledgeable, energetic, very approachable and dedicated. The school staff are great, friendly and always willing to help as well. However, the communication and organization for the program are not as good. It is impossible to get on hold to someone by phone and emails are not replied in a decently time frame (if they are replied). I also don't think the course has a learning/teaching structure, so depending on the level of students in your class, we end up learning again things that you have learned in another level there. I also believe for a school that take students coming from others countries for a certain period, the courses should be planned ahead of time and should have dates, specific time and subjects ready to inform and clarify students (not within a week or 24 h before it), so we could plan and organize ourselves with our primary school, work, lodging and other activities before traveling mainly if we are begginers or first timers in Paris.... Therefore, I reinforce the high quality of teachers and staff but to carry the Sorbonne name, I think the entire programme should be reevaluated by the school board of directors.

Ça serait mieux si on pourrait recevoir plus de détails avant le jour d'examen, par exemple, à quelle heure d'arriver, s'il y aurait des feuilles pour faire un brouillon ou pas...

Pendant l'examen (23 juin) il faisait très chaud mais avec les fenêtres ouvertes il y avait également trop de bruit de la rue...c'était difficile de se concentrer, c'était dommage.

Un enseignant n'était pas professionnel et parlait trop vite pour comprendre.
