Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne Arvostelua 

The instructors were excellent. I would give them 5 stars if only reviewing their dedication and professionalism. The administration and the communication leave much to be desired. In the webinar two weeks before the course began we were shown a presentation that said the intensive courses averaged 10 people with a maximum of 12. We are 18! I feel strongly that this was too many and when I approached the director, I was told that other months had fewer students and in fact the maximum is 18. They need to update their website and information or sort out their number of students. They need to increase communication and acknowledge when a student registers and pays a significant amount of money.

I have been trying to get a refund for over two months, and the level of incompetence is staggering. After their initial transfer to failed, I specifically told them my original Visa card was canceled and provided US bank details to make it easy for them.
On March 24, they claimed it was "being processed." It has now been over 30 days of total silence. They are holding my money hostage while ignoring emails. If you value your money or your time, stay away. This is not how a professional organization operates. I am still waiting for my funds.

Je ne parlais ni ne comprenais rien au début et, grâce à Madame Liszka, je suis maintenant très à l’aise avec mon français. C’est une professionnelle et une excellente professeure.

4 mois après avoir payé une formation et plusieurs mails ils me répondent même pas. Legalement ils on 14 jours pour le faire. Je les ai signalé au Signal Conso - institution de gouvernement contre les arnaques, même ca ils me remboursent toujours pas. La prochaine étape c'est la police + justice avec les endommagements.
Ne vous inscrivez pas si vous voulez pas perdre votre argent, c'est une grosse arnaque.

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL! I have been waiting on my refund for over 3 months. They are now ghosting me after stating my refund was one the way—no by-when, nothing. Gave sensitive banking information to obtain my refund (as they requested was the only way) 3x via email exposing me to fraud. The ministry of education won’t get back to me either, a complete joke. This school is a SCAM! I will continue to escalate until I receive my funds. I’m not even attending the school anymore and my refund request was within their so-called request window. This schools incompetence has strained my finances and has prevented me from accessing these necessary funds to go to school elsewhere. This school is not reputable at all, AVOID

Pague el curso con el 30% de abono + derechoa de inscripción en junio del 2024 lamentablemente me negaron la visa en 14 agosto , eleve la solocitud de re embolso del 30% (1020 eur ) y perder los 75 eur se derechos de inscripcion , adjunte soportes nadie me respondio me envian que no es posible re embolsarme nadie response mis correos

It is impossible to get any information from the staff about the courses. The staff have given me unclear information about the level required, it was impossible to get a straight answer even after 10 emails and all answers were curt and uninformative, as if it is a bother to even give answers. Furthermore it was impossible to receive an answer about what time the course takes place daily, the closest answer I got was that it happens “sometime between 10 and 17h” which probably means they don’t know either. All in all terrible communication and a waste of time, but if this is how they treat potential students then the level of instruction is probably not much better.

Pas mal. Bons professeurs et engageants. Et de bonnes personnes pour réseauter et apprendre la langue en tant qu'expatrié

I love the environment of tye School, its so beautiful like we are in the university.
I love my classmates they are so young and fresh, I feel like want to study more and more.
Our Teacher Alain is one of the best Teacher, he is so patient, he has very deep knowledge for grammars. He is very serious for Teaching, he handed write all the study tools for us. I has a huge improvement with him.
Its a such unforgettable experience learning French in Sorbonne.
I will continue my course for next level.

One suggestion: If we can use our CPF account will be fantastic for the people who lives in France wants to study in Sorbonne.

The don't answer emails or calls and tell you your course is cancelled 2 days before it starts.

In my experience, I was lucky to have 2 good teachers in both B1 and B2. However, it is very grammar based and there are large number of students. Hence very limited chance to speak or improve on the speaking. The problem is always with the administration. That's why I am giving 3 three stars. The seniors can be rude. But their new hires are trying to be nicer. I hope they continue be nice and not follow their seniors.

I signed up for the intensive classes in July and August and ended up having a very polarizing experience between the two sessions. July was a dream. I really was impressed by my teacher and group of students. I felt like the approach to the material felt very natural and was challenging as well. However, less than a week before the August session I was informed by the school that there weren't enough students and the intensive class was cancelled. I promptly signed up for a private tutor to suppliment the hours I would lose with going down to general french class. Friday before the new session started the school informed me that the intensive class was back on. I asked to stay in general french since I had already gotten a tutor and received a rude message back question how I changed my plans so quickly and telling me it was not possible for me to stay in general french and get my refund for the difference. This was frustrating since the school had cancelled the class less then a week before the new session and then brought it back again but I agreed. On my first day of my second session I realized there were only going to be two students, myself and another woman, so the school had been dishonest when they said they were cancelling intensive french because not enough students had signed up. Then the teacher we had for grammar was quite offensive. She yelled at us constantly and created an extremely hostile environment. This was so bad that the other student left after the first day because the teacher had made racist comments to her. The second day three new students joined and the teacher had me teach them what I had learned day one. For the third day she was out sick and our class was sent home. The fourth day she was sick again and the school placed our class in another class that was too advanced and working on material we had never seen. When I reached out again to the administration about how awful my experience was I received very delayed responses and was finally told I could join another class two weeks into the program that was only four weeks. I said that this was not a good option for me at this point since we were too far into the session and asked to just get a credit for future classes. I was told absolutely not. I was really surprised and disappointed that an institution with a reputation like Sorbonne's, who had provided such a wonderful experience in July, gave me no options, listened to none of my considers, and provided a half baked solution far too late. I unfortunately would never return to this school and would recommend that students avoid signing up for the August session. As someone who worked hard and paid for her tuition and living expenses while in Paris, this education felt like throwing my money away for nothing.

J’adore ce cours!!!!!! J’ai vraiment envie d'y retourner. Il y a très bons professeurs. C'était délicieux!

Great course, needs a lot of personal initiative to make the most of it.

1)je trouve le cours trop peu efficace
2) nous avons peu d'occasions de nous exprimer, mais passons une très longue partie de la leçon à écouter des opinions personnelles et partiales
3)manque de corriger les phrases des étudiants.
4) les examens ne sont pas correspondant ni le temps approprié ni le contenu , avec des réponses à cocher
5) je trouve désagréable d'entendre constamment des expressions qui valorisent toujours que la France
6) J'ai observé un manque sur savoir l'utilisation numérique ( un ordinateur, internet, un tableau intelligent, écouteurs...) malgré les outils disposés.

Je ne suis toujours pas remboursé pour l'examen Delf qui a été annulé.

Du 1er août 2023 au 30 août 2023, j'ai étudier le français dans le cadre des Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne (Août A1), avec les cours suivants : Grammaire, 2 heures par jour, avec Mme Liszka ; Phonétique, 10 heures, avec Mme Langlois.
Je voudrais vous faire part de mon expérience :
1. Le matériel pédagogique est très solide et les polycopiés sont fournis.
2. Le contenu du cours est très pratique : présentation de soi, pratique de l'expression et de la compréhension orale en français, description de phrases et de lettres simples, compréhension du langage quotidien, apprentissage de l'expression de questions et de réponses, et application pratique dans la vie quotidienne en France.
3. Le professeur est sérieux dans son enseignement et interagit bien avec les étudiants, et l'atmosphère dans la classe est très harmonieuse.
4. Chaque jour, nous avons des devoirs à faire, et après la classe, nous les déterminons et révisons le contenu du cours.
5. En plus des tests quotidiens en classe, il y a également des examens de mi-parcours et finaux pour superviser l'apprentissage et aider à améliorer l'efficacité de l'apprentissage.
Points faibles : Le premier trimestre du cours de français dure 3 mois, mais j'ai dû partir en septembre, pour mon projet professionnel je n'ai donc pu utiliser que les vacances d'été (1 mois) pour étudier le français, je n'ai donc pas pu terminer le premier trimestre du cours, ce qui est dommage.
Suggestion : à l'avenir, il serait plus efficace d'étudier systématiquement en fonction de la durée du cours.

Je me suis inscrite au cours de français des affaires de juillet et à l'examen DELF de juin, mais j'ai soudainement été informée que le cours et l'examen étaient annulés à la dernière minute, ce qui m'a causé beaucoup de désagréments et m'a obligée à changer beaucoup de mes projets. Jusqu'à aujourd'hui, je n'ai pas reçu de remboursement pour le cours de juillet. Je m'excuse pour l'efficacité de l'école.
