My second review for this terrible company. Still awaiting refund from a canceled order from May. It was only cancelled as they didn't have the stock but were happy to take our money (over £800). I have already left one negative review that caught their attention and led them to getting in touch with me but since then silence and still no refund. Absolutely disgraceful company. I am hoping this review catches their attention and we can finally get our money back.

Spare parts and accessories for a Buffalo CD400 mincer, 2 items out of the 4 were out of stock. I was contacted and asked whether to proceed with the order, I was quite happy to get the other items. Good communication between seller and myself and prompt delivery.

Although a couple were damaged on delivery, your after sales service team Carson and Emily were excellent, sending replacements by return and responding very quickly to my emails. Very good service and the sign of a top quality company. Highly recommended.

Placed an order for some chafing dishes needed for a wedding. Called up first to check they would be delivered next day. They said they will do the best they can to get these to be since it was after the cut off. Delivery arrived 10am the next day! Couldn’t be happier with my purchase !!

I ordered some items from here 22nd of june. some of them I get quickly but some of them still I am wating (05.08.2025) I called maybe 10 times maybe more anyway finally I decided to cancell my order as they said I send email but i did not get any aswer again like phone calls they always said we will call you... ofcourse they did not. when I order this items it was seem on stock but more then 1 month I am waiting because they di not have this item. terrible customer services and terrible general experience with this company. I do not recomend this company, i could not get my items I could not get my money back and when I speak with someone on customer line nothing change. stay away...

Avoid – Nearly £4,000 Held, No Refund After Weeks of Chasing

My wife placed two large orders with The Catering Centre on 15 July 2025, using her credit card and my debit card:
• Order #253488 – £3,190.18 (8 x Polar G Air Conditioners – paid on her credit card)
• Order #253489 – £797.54 (2 x Polar G Air Conditioners – paid on my debit card)
Total: £3,987.72

The website showed the items as in stock, but the following day we were told they were actually out of stock until 26 July. We replied immediately to ask if they could guarantee delivery by that date. They couldn’t, so we requested a full refund on 16 July.

Since then, we have had to chase this multiple times — emails sent on 17th, 21st, and 31st July. I was told on 21 July that the refund was being processed and would take 10–14 working days, which is unusually long. As of now:
• No refund confirmation has been provided
• No money has been received back on either card
• Communication has been vague and delayed

This has caused a serious disruption — especially with nearly £4,000 held up — and I’ve seen multiple other reviews describing the same issues: misleading stock availability, slow responses, and long refund delays.

I will be taking this up with my bank and credit card provider if the funds are not returned by Thursday, 7th August 2025 (tomorrow), and will update this review accordingly.

Really disappointed with the service and would not recommend using The Catering Centre based on this experience.

This reply appears to be more about managing public perception than resolving the issue. I have received no refund, no communication, and no follow-up despite their claims.

We have raised disputes with our respective card suppliers.

No refund from the company. Our respective banks recovered the funds.

I placed order at the neighing on June.
This was being delayed, they didn’t notify me about any delays only when I emailed asking about order they would say that sorry there is delay on stock.
Finally after over month of wait I have requested refund. When chased after 10days they said that it was done and to check with my bank. This was checked and transaction screen shot send to Emma from customer service, but no reply.

I can see that they are very fast with replay to negative reviews here but not to emails directly send to them.
Please avoid at all cost!

No order was never cancelled and refund was only requested on the 9th of July after you delayed my order three times.

I have spoken with my bank and emailed you screen shot of transaction, refund was never done by your company.

Terrible customer service. Waited 3 weeks for a refund for an item that was out of stock. Agreed to receive the item as it was now back in stock. Wrong item was sent so correct item arrived too late. And I now have to pay to return the item. Zero accountability, zero customer service. Would never use them again.

Ordered over a £1000 worth of plates, 4 months ago. They canceled the order 2 months after. Still waiting for a refund.

No one ever answers phone, I have tried 3 times per day just to get a voice mail

I am an individual purchaser and was delighted to purchase a drink i had been searching for for ages, the price was good and delivery was quick will definitely be ordering again

Best price on wine glasses, easy to find item, place order, and ask any questions. Speedy delivery with no breakages, would definitely recommend.

Ordered my item which was delivered after 2 weeks. For such a seemingly big company, they do not answer their phones. No udates on delivery ( promised to 2/3 days on their website) Wrong item was delivered. For returns they charge 25/50% to return the item, even though it will be sent back as received. On the returns form they do not offer a refund, but a store credit. Even though it was their fault I then also have to pay to return the item.Why would you want to buy again from such a company, with such bad service & even worse returns policy.

Good quality product for a fair price. Ordering on their website was very easy. Delivery time was good. All round good job. Thank you

I have used Catering Centre man times.
They offer very competitive prices, good delivery times and good customer service. Unfortunately there has been issues with orders arriving broken due to poor packing, however the support staff have always been very accommodating and provided replacements. Would recommend to others. Thank you!

I rarely write reviews, but the experience I’ve had with Catering Centre has left me no choice.

We placed a business order for 50 x napkin dispensers, over 25% arrived damaged (a small and acceptable number according the the Catering Centre), clearly the result of poor quality control and careless packaging. I raised the issue immediately and gave the supplier every opportunity to make things right.

After multiple emails and unnecessary delays, they refused to replace the faulty items, despite this being a wholesale, B2B order with clear obligations to fulfil. Instead, they’ve chosen to hide behind vague terms and conditions and now insist on issuing a partial refund only after I return the damaged stock, without any guarantee or timeframe for the refund to be processed.

To make matters worse, they tried to arrange a courier collection with less than 24 hours’ notice, assuming I’d drop everything to accommodate their mess. When I flagged this as unacceptable, they still couldn’t offer a meaningful solution — or a single gesture of goodwill for the time and revenue lost as a result of their failure to deliver.

This experience has been a complete waste of time and trust. I’ve had to source alternative products elsewhere to avoid letting down my client — something Catering Centre clearly didn’t care about.

If you're a business looking for a reliable supplier who values customer service, quality control, and basic accountability — look elsewhere.

Shocking customer service. Don’t reply to emails, don’t answer the phones to solve issues. When they finally do send products, they send them in dibs & dabs. Took 3 deliveries to receive my whole order. Also false advertise what products you can actually buy. I was asked to make additional payments due to this. Stay clear & use the likes of; Nisbets, Adexa Direct or Buzz Catering for all round better customer service.

Purchased a Bain Marie for our new business, turned it on and water leaked out, after a few more days it was tripping the electrics, refused to rectify or send out a new machine so have to resort to the small claims court to get my money back, The worse customer service I have come across, avoid at all cost.

I got the Double Door Slimline Fridge 960Ltr this week . It was very useful.

Scam company DO NOT ORDER. I was not given all my order and it came so late I wanted to return and no emails replies or phone answers. I have read reviews now and are all very similar. Definitely a dodgy scam company. Avoid at all costs!!!

Just a teapot ordered - never arrived. They claimed to have sent it again - still didn't arrive! Parcelforce photos of the delivery destinations are not of my house, but they have refused to refund!
Do not buy from this company!
