Settlement Dispute
My complaint has been handled appallingly from start to finish. Despite providing clear evidence of every payment made and demonstrating that I have already paid over £8,500, my concerns were largely ignored throughout the complaints process. The investigation failed to properly address the discrepancies I raised, with responses feeling generic rather than evidence based.
The original Trust Deed showed 46% of my debt would be written off, yet I am now being told I must find a further £14,320 to settle, while also continuing to make my monthly £116 payments. The explanation relies on trustee fees, costs and statutory interest that were never made sufficiently clear at the outset.
Communication deteriorated to the point where emails and phone calls went unanswered, forcing me to escalate my complaint to senior management. After weeks of waiting, the final response simply repeated the company’s position without meaningfully addressing the evidence I submitted.
I also have concerns about the company’s online reputation management. I have noticed negative reviews disappearing, which raises questions about whether critical customer feedback is being fairly represented. Whether or not there is an explanation for this, it does little to inspire confidence in transparency.
Overall, I have been left feeling ignored, misled and extremely disappointed by both the handling of my complaint and the lack of transparency throughout the process. I cannot recommend Carrington Dean based on my experience.
