I chose Carpet One Floor & Home because I expected a professional install, but the crew damaged trim/walls and left obvious issues that shouldn’t happen on a paid job. When I reported it, the responses were slow and I kept getting passed around instead of getting a clear plan to fix it.

Rhonda worked very hard in finding me just the right shade of pink and the price we were willing to pay. I am now known as “the pink carpet lady”

Beautiful Guarantee, Lifetime Warranty, Pet Proof, Human Proof. Carpet is 3 years old, crushing, seams coming apart. attempted to have stains removed in October 2024 by professional flooring cleaners. They couldn't get the stains out. Contacted the owner of Emerson Carpet One located in Baton Rouge. Requested invoice of the cleaning bill and responded to his request. He replied via email telling me my Lifetime Warranty was voided because I didn't have the carpet professionally cleaned within 15 months post installation. Please share with me how the Hell a professional cleaning within 15 months makes a difference concerning the quality of product and installation. DO NOT PATRONIZE ANY CARPET ONE ENTITY NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU MAY BE TO HAVE FLOORING INSTALLED AT YOUR HOMES. This is the actual response from Carpet One - It’s simple: if you’re not completely in love with how everything turns out, we’ll replace it. No hassles, no worries. It’s all part of our promise to make your experience as smooth and stress-free as possible, from the first idea to the final installation. Right.....Filing Civil Suit.....

I wanted to let you know how the carpet installation went. On the plus side, it looks great! I do wish we would have gone with the memory foam padding, as the feel isn’t as soft or plush feeling as I hoped. I recognize part of that is the lighter weight carpet over the top end options we considered, but I still feel like better padding would have been the answer. Oh well. It still looks great. As for your installers. I wouldn’t allow them back in my house. Sorry. There were little things that didn’t amount to anything until my wife threw a fit once she discovered “dirty” toilet paper on the floor in our master bathroom. The skid marks in the toilet can be chalked up to inattentiveness, but her having to pick up used toilet paper with shit on it off the floor was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Additionally, the stove glass top was filthy when we bought the house so Jennifer put a lot of work and cleaning product into making it look as new as possible. Needless to say, we expected it to be that way when the workers left. Instead it had had I can only assume were tortillas cooked onto the surface that required razor-blading off the cooked on stuff and Cerama Bryte-ing it again.

My wife is a sweetheart, but she was understandably pissed about those two things above. In all fairness, I was too.

The little things that could have been easily addressed or over-looked include:

A busted baseboard (pic attached) and the failure to re-install the threshold in one room. I admit the threshold was not obvious as it was next to the ceiling fan blades that were next to the doorway, so that might be on me for not inspecting the job before they left. The busted baseboard can be fixed with some time and effort (not the least of which might be trying to find identical replacement… I may just end up having to caulk it.

Of the most minor infractions is that it doesn’t seem too much to ask for them to occasionally close the exterior door on a 90 degree day when they’re upstairs working. I understand if they’re running in an out how it could be a pain in the ass to set down a roll of padding or carpet to open shut a door, but I also don’t think it should have been necessary for me to discover it having been left open the entire time they where upstairs while I was there – at least until I closed it myself. Again, no biggie, just kind of inconsiderate in my opinion.

I do appreciate that one of the guys called to ask if they could have the sodas in my refrigerator. Kinda of odd that they were looking in the fridge, but at least he asked rather than just taking them. I, of course, told him it was fine – as I would never say no to that. Maybe next time he should ask if it’s okay for them to cook lunch directly on the stovetop, too.

The email response was the last I heard from anyone other than a voicemail from someone from Carpet One that I returned, twice, only to be able to leave a message that was never returned back.

Do not use carpet one. It took two months from when I ordered the flooring until they put it in. Chris, the rep who is helping me, doesn’t know how to use the measuring device, and measured our stairs incorrectly. It’s been another month since he said they would fix the problem. He has been making excuses this whole time blaming it on the manufacturer. He has dragged me along. They got their money so they are slow playing this. I am very unhappy. Do not use them and definitely do not use Chris.

We remodeled our master bathroom and bedroom. We had all new trim put in which I painted, filled nail pops, blemishes, sanded then painted a final coat. Next step in the remodel was to have carpet put it master bedroom and closets. We chose Carpet One because they were a locally owned business and seemed to have a good reputation. We were looking for a quality install, which we didn't think we would get from one of the big home improvement stores. We asked them to send out their best crew, we didn't mind waiting based on scheduling. Two guys came out to do the install. Took them about a half a day. We were surprised at the amount of damage that was done to our freshly installed and painted, baseboard trim, doors and door trim, and also the walls. We knew from past experiences that there would be some scuffs here and there in the trim and walls that I would need to touch up. However this was far more extensive, the damage in places was over 2ft up the wall and door casing. Nail holes in baseboard that I had already been filled and sanded were popped out. Door jam on two of the doors pushed back so far it broke the joint between the jam and casing. All three door casings had significant dents and scuffs, to the point they would need filled and sanded before it could be painted again. There were fairly deep scrapes in the new drywall and the corner in the hall way were they carried in the carpet was damaged. They must have scraped the roll of carpet against it when they brought it in. Overall just a careless job causing nearly all the new trim to need redone. I went in to discuss with one of the owners and his exact quote was, "Sometimes these kinds of things happen." I guestioned whether we got their best crew and they assured me we did. Their only offer was to have the same guys that did the damage come fix it. Based on the quality of work and their attention to detail the first time I had zero confidence that they were going to fix it to the level it was. It just didnt need paint slapped on it, it needed fixed properly, filled sanded then painted. Based on the outcome of the way the carpet laying went, I could see this causing many other problems and it wasn't worth the risk. The room was part of almost a whole house carpet job that Carpet One had quoted us on. The only good thing is we didn't have it all done at once and have the rest of house damaged the same way. Now we are able to take our project elsewhere.

Crooks! Re-brand products with their own names, so you can't price compare. You will pay 25-30% more! Shop elsewhere!

We had a very poor experience in Fort Myers Florida with Taylor Carpet One! Would not recommend

The carpet was wonderful and the service men were spectacular

Lots of hidden costs never discussed with us. Then was told "read the fine print you signed" they do zero work. Contract everything out to several different jobbers. Most of them were nice. But overall feel like 20 k later not even close to satisfied. Would never recommend them.

Installed laminate flooring 2 yrs ago and never came back to finish the trim. I called several times and Chad finally said they would come in a couple of months when things slowed down. That never happened. My health got bad, and my floor got worse. When cancer was gone, contacted Chad again an played email tag for months. He said I should have taken care of this years ago...yes, YOU should have. He says my floor is falling apart due to animals. It's not. Subflooring was to be replace and it wasn't. He will not honor warranty. Never finished trim. DO NOT GO THERE. You'd have better luck buying flooring at a Kmart.

Installation Trauma

I was extremely disappointed by the service provided by Carpet One Floor and Home located in Jacksonville Beach.

First, the installers were more than one hour late.

Second, the lead installer wanted me to sign the completed work order before the work was completed. The door was not hung, the furniture was returned, and I had not inspected the installation. After calling the salesperson, the installers begrudgingly hung the door and returned the furniture. The lead installer stated, “I’ve done my good deed for the day.” I was confused because my installation included furniture removal. After the installers left, I noticed dirty handprints left on my doors which I had to clean.

Thirdly, upon their arrival I asked the installers to wear a mask. I could overhear one installer say “Are we still doing that?”

Fourth, when I tried to vacuum the rug it was extremely difficult to push my vacuum over the carpet and the vacuum basket was full of carpet shedding. When I called the sales person she indicated that was normal. When I read the warranty pamphlet I found that this carpet required a specific vacuum due to its soft strands. A regular vacuum could damage the strands.

Finally, the manager left a voice message apologizing for being late, failing to address the behavior of the installers. When I phoned the sales manager to discuss this matter and my experience, he never returned my phone call.

Ryan and his crew installed flooring in my house, I am so happy. They were knowledgeable, efficient and on time finishing the job.

We purchased carpet for our master bedroom three years ago. Presently this carpet is coming loose in the seems and has become flat and undesirable looking. We reached out and told for the warranty to cover it, we must have the carpets professionally cleaned every 18 months. Rental shampooers do not count or ones bought. This is ridiculous to me. We don't even wear shoes in our home. This carpet is obviously poor grade and not installed well. Bad customer service and poor product!

The carpet is great and the installation is exceptional. Would highly rate both carpet and installation.

Everything was great, they are very easy to do business with. The salesperson was very helpful and I will work with her again for the next flooring. They arrived on time for the delivery and installation went smoothly. Would highly recommend them.

I purchased my original carpeting from Carpet One as well as my hardwood flooring and most recent carpeting. The reason I went back to Carpet One is because I believe you get what you pay for. I don't ask for the cheapest price. I tell you what my needs are, make my selection and expect to get what I paid for. My home is very important to me and I want you to treat my time and my home with respect. The salespeople, mine this time was Tony and I've had him previously, steered me toward what carpeting would work for me. He left me alone to make my choices--my preference--and checked on me and answered my questions. No pressure. Also of note is that most of the salespeople have been there a long time. Tony also followed up by coming to our home to remeasure and see if any doors might need to be cut. Of utmost importance is the installation. This is key to the job. This is why I purchase from Carpet One and not a big box store. The quality of the installations I have received to date are second to none. The duo recently at my home were Bill and Nick. They treated me and my home with respect and were personable and most importantly knowledgeable. My carpeting is of exceptional quality and you cannot locate a seam anywhere as that's the kind of quality job they did. I am having the duo come back in March to have the carpeting laid in the other part of my house. I paid for quality and service and I have received that from everyone I have been in contact with. Tamela in Customer Service has been easy to work with also.

Very poor customer focus, workmanship and follow up. Wouldn't recommend to even work on your tree house.
