Careem’s Handling of My Lost Item

I booked a Karim Comfort ride from Dubai Airport to my house (150 AED). The driver offered to help with my luggage and personally loaded all my bags including my handbag and a small duty-free bag with a 500 AED perfume. While he was loading the first bag, he told me to get inside the car and get comfortable. When we reached my building , I discovered the duty free perfume bag was missing, the driver accused me that I had the bag in the airport and never brought it along with my bags. It was later confirmed to have been left behind in the airport trolley and the Careem loading bay clearly a result of the driver’s negligence.

The driver denied responsibility, refused to help, and told me to pay for two extra rides to go back to the airport and collect it myself. He even said, “You can complain to Careem, nothing will happen, I will only bring your item if they agree to all this ” When I contacted Careem Support, they said drivers are not supposed to touch passengers’ luggage, so the company is not responsible even though their driver voluntarily did so.This explanation is unfair and unreasonable if your driver chooses to handle a customer’s belongings, he should ensure nothing is left behind. As a Careem Plus subscriber, I expected professionalism and accountability, but received none. The reason why I booked for a comfort ride as opposed to getting a random taxi is I expected premium service and safety. My perfume is still at the airport and I’ve had zero real help from Careem to resolve this.

Very disappointing service no accountability, and a complete lack of customer care. Just let everyone know, because when dealing with taxis.

Careem delivery drivers are frequently riding their motorcycles on pedestrian sidewalks, especially around their warehouse in Al Barsha This behavior is extremely dangerous for people—particularly children—who are walking there, especially at night. These drivers often speed out of narrow, non-vehicle lanes where pedestrians wouldn’t expect any traffic. I recently witnessed a child almost being hit by one of them. Immediate action is needed to ensure pedestrian safety in this area.

I have very very bad experience with careem box after long time dealing with careem, something never happen to me in dubai after 24 years living in dubai please be careful when you book careem box, i have booked careem box and i give it 1 pack with 2 mobile for delivery to my cousin home so when he received he call me there is only 1 mobile and the other one is missing, i keep calling to careem and inform them after 2days they just told me we talk with captain and the captain said i delivered thats all,

It doesn't even deserve a 1-star. This is the worst experience!! I order food and the driver just left my order down the building and left. My food is missing! The solution they give me is to order again and pay again!they don't even care about the money I waste!ive been searching for the food for 2 hours!!! Very worst experience! I will not recommend this to anyone so no one will experience their bad service!!!

My order which was a wrap, was delivered 1 hour and 40 minutes late. Despite my clear request to cancel and refund the order due to the unacceptable delay and the evident health risk of consuming food that has not been properly stored for nearly two hours, my request was refused.

Furthermore, upon returning home, I discovered that the order was not even delivered, and the driver stated that he “threw it in the bin.”

CAREEM FOOD CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. AGENTS SITTING JUST SENDING COPY PASTE MESSAGES.

Better use Noon or talabat for food orders.

Terrible Experience – Do Not Recommend!
I ordered food that never got delivered. Later I was told the driver supposedly left it outside on the ground, but I was never contacted or notified. When I reached out for help, customer service was awful — I spoke to both an agent and a manager, and neither helped at all. Even after reaching out through the app, they kept sending the same copied message over and over without actually addressing the issue. This app feels like a total scam.

CAREEM IS THE WORST TRANSPORTATION TAXI. The drivers are literally too lazy and they keep canceling the booking, so I end up using uber. Shame it’s their job they couldn’t even work with it and always want easy life

One of the worst companies in the UAE, with horrible Customer Support. I have made an order, and cancelled as soon as I received the order (meaning less than a minute) before the restaurant accepted my order. Ive been fully charged and Careems answer was that the restaurant already started preparing my food.
Its a scam, they should have a proof of me cancelling my orders less than less than a minute and there is no way the restaurant started preparing my order.
Also horrible client communication, if my order cant be cancelled and I have to pay for it, then where is my food? Ive never received anything.
I cancelled my plus subscription and wont be using Careem ever again.

I booked a ride on October 29th. I paid the driver 33 aed by card at the end of the ride. But later on they charged me again 30aed for the same ride. I’ve contacted the customer service countless Times but they don’t want to refund me. They abuse their customers so use Careem at your own risk

Had to involve police now. Ripped off twice in 1 day. Captains not picking me up and starting ride.
I get charged and captain ignores all calls.
Then careem box completes trip but doesn’t actually deliver anything.
This is illegal activity in uae

Too often Careem have taken over an hour to deliver what should be fast food. I’m switching to Talabat and saving my money by cancelling my Careem membership.

⭐️ 1 Star Review – Very Disappointed

I had a very bad experience with Careem. I set the correct location for my mother, which is only 5 minutes away from my house, but the app changed the location automatically. Then they tried to charge me almost double for a two-way trip! This is not fair at all. The company makes people pay extra money because of their app mistakes and provides very poor service. I don’t recommend Careem — they need to fix their system and be more honest with customers.

Careem’s Refund Process is a Mess
I’m beyond frustrated with Careem’s customer service. I had two transactions where I never received my refund, even after repeatedly following up. One agent told me the issue was resolved and that I’d receive a callback — instead, they just closed my case without any action!
I’ve shared all the proof and screenshots multiple times, yet nothing gets done. It’s been weeks, and I still don’t have my money back. The lack of accountability and transparency is shocking for a company of this size.
Careem seriously needs to fix its refund and support system. As a long-time customer, I’ve completely lost trust in their service — there’s zero follow-up, zero urgency, and zero responsibility.

IF THERE IS LOWER THAN NEGATIVE. THIS IS THE RATE I WILL GIVE. THE RIDER DUPED US. MY CARD WAS ALREADY CHARGED FOR THE RIDE TO THE AIRPORT. WHEN WE GOT OFF MY WIFE PAID THE DRIVER PLUS TIP THINKING THE RIDE WAS NOT PAID YET. THE DRIVER DID NOT SAY ANYTHING AND ACCEPTED THE PAYMENT - HIM KNOWING RIDE WAS PAID ALREADY. WHEN WE REALIZED THIS, WE REPORTED IT TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE HOPING THEY WILL REPRIMAND THE DRIVER. BUT NO THEY MARKED THE COMPLAIN RESOLVE AND JUST SAID NO REFUND. THAT'S IT FOR THEM. WE DIDN'T ASK FOR REFUND BUT ACCOUNTABILITY AND OBVIOUSLY THEY DON'T CARE AS LONG AS THEY GET PAID. I BET IT'S ANOTHER STORY IF TABLES ARE TURNED! NEVER AGAIN FOR CAREEM! THE WORSE!!!!!!!!

Careem Food Delivery for their extremely poor service and failure to deliver my order.

On27-10-2025, I placed a food order through the Careem app at 10:13 PM. The expected delivery time was between 10:55 PM and 11:05 PM, but the order was not delivered even by 11:50 PM. I waited for more than one and a half hours with my small children hungry and waiting for food.

When I contacted Careem customer service, the representative simply asked me if I wanted to cancel the order instead of resolving the issue. This response was unprofessional and showed no concern for the inconvenience caused. Despite the long delay and cancellation, I have not yet received a refund for the amount paid.

This experience has caused significant inconvenience and frustration.

The worst customer service ever I have experienced in Dubai. I have been living in Dubai since 2015 and the most time killing service is Careem. Back to. Back delivery failure, abusive drivers. Unpredictable and unprofessional service. There are many dates but 26th October is the worst. And the funny part is the customers should call them by hitting the option "Help" weird!!!
