Cakes Today Arvostelua 

Ordered a birthday cake 5 days before my wifes birthday, got a text message early in morning that insinuated early delivery. Then get a call at 12.15 stating its been dispatched, waited in all day and had people over to see his cake that cost me £150 - 7.30pm came and i emailed saying how disappointed I was and how its ruined the whole day. They called me saying it would be here by 8pm - pointless as the celebrations are finished. 8.45pm and still no cake and have decided to go to bed and hope Paypal can get my money back.

Ordered a cake for my mums 60th birthday it arrived within a few hours and it tasted divine. Absolutely perfect. She was happy with it.

Cakes Today have become our family cake maker. This must be our 5th order and as always the cake was delicious and fresh. Delivery time is not confirmed until the day however communication on delivery day is precise.

The delivery arrived within the stipulated time frame of 8 am to 8pm. So that was ok. I ordered the red velvet cake bites and it tasted awful. Not like red velvet cake at all, it was chewy and disgusting. Had to spit it out. I also ordered some cupcakes and the "use by" date on it was the 16th October and I placed the order on the 18th for delivery on the 19th. What do I make of that?? Won't ever re order. Waste of £50 something.

Amazing staff, perfect cake (I ordered the pjmaxx squared cake with chocolate filling) for my son’s birthday. Was tasty and also delivered with care. Thank you

Absolutely disgusting baker, i spent around £66 for a birthday cake but it was broken when delivered. I instantly called the delivery driver and he stopped responding me, request a replacement but no action taken by cakes today. Absolutely Do not recommend them, don’t waste your money, time and don’t let them ruin your party

Ordered Ferrero Rocher cake from cakes today cake was excellent and very delicious
Hard to find such flavoured cakes and that too same day delivery within London.
It was a last minute thing for me never expected that will receive such great experience.
Will definitely recommend cakes today to all our friends and relatives.

Ordered a slice of cake the flavours of our future wedding cake and was not disappointed the taste was great. However the communication could have been better

I ordered 6 cup cakes to be delivered to my partner at work, when I called I explained he finishes work at 2pm and the cakes would need to be there by then. So we went ahead with the order. 1.30 on day of delivery no sign of cakes, I called but had to leave a message I WhatsAppd and emailed to no response for a good hour! By then I’m told my delivery was with the driver and would be there by 5.30!! At 10 to 8 I get a call to say my cakes had been delivered… delivered to who my partner was on the sofa next to me! The lady on the phone earlier in the day asked if they could be left of the door step! Who would even suggest leaving food of any kind on a doorstep over night! £40 for 6 cupcakes money wasted, customer service shocking beyond belief, i will fight to the death for a refund even if I have to take them to a small claims court out of principle. Avoid this company at all costs. The people on the phone are rude and knowledge less they say one thing and do another.this was an anniversary gift and I’ve spent most of my afternoon and evening chasing them.

Extremely disappointed - would definitely NOT recommend! Bad product service and appalling customer service. It was a large order but they did not deliver on the date booked and I had to chase the following morning. Thank god I had the good sense to order a day before the party but to be honest I felt I just couldn’t trust them and they proved me right. After lots of stress and aggregation of getting it made and delivered on the day they did not deliver the two main cakes in the different flavours ordered! Extremely embarrassing as I announced to 100 guest what the flavours were but they were both just plain vanilla, so lots left over as people didn’t want a slice of each that were the same. I had also paid extra before to sample all the flavours before selecting so that was a waste of time and money too. The flavour options was partly why I used this company and had paid upfront long in advance and they still let me down massively. Plus I’d checked up several times on them because I was worried they would mess it up and it was such an important event. To add massive insult to injury, when I complained they had someone very rude call me at 9pm on a Sunday evening and didn’t even apologise but offered £20 credit on my next order of I order something else in the next 6 months!!! How disgusting- I spent almost £300 with them and spent more than that on the flavour samples alone. Not to mention the massive mistake up of not delivering the night before at the venue and leaving it to me to ensure something arrived, even though I was running around that day making other preparations. If I had not ordered for the day prior or double checked with the venue the next morning, I would have had no order at all!!! Plus, I was then worried all day they wouldn’t arrive on time. When they did, they were just plain vanilla and cream that I could have got from anywhere. Very disappointing. They seemed to have no record of the order on their site either so I really wouldn’t trust them to supply something for an important event - they’ll let you down. Absolutely unbelievable that they think a tiny fraction of the cost as credit, that I have to spend more money with them again, is anywhere near satisfactory to make it right! Avoid this unprofessional, unreliable company at all costs! I will and I’ll be reporting them to trading standards for their appalling behaviour!!!

Additional follow up to add is someone from 'customer services' emailed a month after only to say:

I'm sorry to read that you didn't receive a first class experience.

Here's what's we are going to do next. I'm going to take the time to review your feedback with our staff and then do our best to resolve the problem so:

1. It doesn't happen again
2. We improve serving you in the future

WHY DID I WASTE MY TIME? They messed up big time but are not doing anything at all for me and they think this is an acceptable response. They've ignored my emails since and so I am taking the matter up with Trading Standards and my bank to receive recompense. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THEM, THEY'RE CROOKS!

This company go under many names including (but I doubt limited to) Cakes Today, Cakes Tomorrow, Land of Cake, Only Eggless, SWS limited, etc so beware!

As to the comment left below, someone only rang me because of the review and then actually had the audacity to ask what the problem was with the order! Unbelievable - and no, still not offered a resolution FYI!

An excellent service from start to finish. We ordered our wedding cake which was amazing both to look at and to eat! Very organised and efficient, informing us a specific time slot for delivery and keeping in close communication at all times. Thank you so much.

I am happy with them, the cakes are amazing and the delivery is always on time.

I tried to book a cake online and there was a marked field to select time and it didn’t allow me to select go further. The cake was costing me £65 and in morning the lady calls me to help and say will get back to you after few minutes but never calls back. Then someone chats on WhatsApp from the website and tells me to pay £100 to get delivered to my address it is a joke. Unprofessional site and working of the company do not use this site. Will never recommend to anyone for special occasion it will ruin it.
