It one of the best shops I tried to order cakes from. The service is excellent and very helpful to choose the right cake for a birthday. The taste of a vanilla sponge cake was light and fluffy very close test to a Victorian cake. and all the children and their parent in the party loved it. the size I ordered wasn’t expected as it looks small but what I received was generous in size. the package was well sealed and I ordered the cake at the same day with a price that was unexpected less than £100 with free delivery and the cake was more than enough for more than 30 persons/child

Called this company on Friday as it was discovered no-one had arranged 30th birthday cake for the big party on Saturday!! There are so many beautiful cakes to choose from. I ordered one with all my personalisation. It arrived on Saturday, exactly as described. Brilliantly packaged. I would also add, customer service is excellent. Saved the day!!

I ordered the frozen cake for my daughter’s 6th birthday.
Not sure why some negative reviews- such a shame as the cake was delicious and the service excellent.
Throughout the order I kept updated about the delivery time and received the cake very quickly so I am extremely happy.
I had a few mums asking me where I ordered the cake from as looked beautiful and was delicious.

I had ordered a cake for my Son and Recieved a Red cake instead of the Blue one ordered, going against the theme of the Birthday, i called to see if it can be changed or remedied and was told nothing can be done except i Decide to order a new cake and pay for it for immediate delivery. I was so not happy and no apologies or whatsoever. I'm so not happy as a returning customer. The inside of the cake was a mess too. Not ordering again from them. I sent a Mail to Experience@landofcake twice and got no reply.. Please stop asking me to send more mail and do the right thing.

Cake was delivered in time and was gorgeous.
Sponge was light and fluffy.
Excellent service.

Contacted cakes today for my Mum’s birthday, it was to be a surprise delivery. Perfect timing. Perfect cake. Order intact. Cakes Today helped me put a smile on my Mum’s face. Thank you❤️

For our wedding we had specifically selected a mauve and white theme cake. It was matched with the rest of the theme for bridesmaid dresses, chair decoration to table decoration which was all in mauve colour. In our first meeting in company’s office, we made it very clear to the advisor Asteen what colour and theme we were looking for. I even showed him the colour I wanted, he made notes and sent us an invoice with description of exactly what we wanted. However the cake delivered does not look anywhere close to the cake we had ordered.

I called their customer services to complaint about the cake, the advisor refused to transfer the call to any manager and said the person who took order is not there and there is no manager available , only way to register your complaint is via email, we sent an email promptly, till date no response, no acknowledgement.

How did the chef get the flavours of the cake so wrong? The flavours were blindly replaced with vanilla and victoria sponge. The whole experience has been very poor, the only thing that was totally out of décor and not even of the taste and color we wanted was the wedding Cake. We wasted few hours visiting the Cakes Today office in Wembley to select the right cake for our special occasion and it all seems to have been a total waste. The end Results was really disappointing.
Something is not right with this company’s operational team. It was not a birthday cake or just any other occasion, it was a wedding cake, how can the team be so unprofessional and irresponsible. I was hugely disappointed to see the wrong cake turn up on my wedding day. They ruined my theme, sent me a wrong color cake with wrong flavours. We had put so much effort and time in getting everything right but this company seems to be all about money. They have not entertained our calls, they have not responded to our email complain as well.

For a wedding cake, they didn’t get the colour right, flavours were wrong, design wrong, there was no Ombre effect, no flowers sent with the cake for decoration. Company employees did not even bother to call or send and apology email. Do not buy from this cake company, They are a SHAM.

This was my second order from this company and the cakes look absolutely amazing every time! I ordered 2 Halloween cakes this time and they couldn't have looked better. However, they were a bit dry inside and not as tasty as the mango/passion fruit rose drip cake that we previously had. The cookies and cream filling was delicious though, and the orange icing was not too over powering in flavour either.

Great birthday cake. Customer service is very efficient and accommodated all our extra requests. The cake was very tasty and it looked great for a big party surprise!

Perfect! I called on the afternoon of the day I needed a cake delivered and it was delivered 2 hours ahead of the latest delivery time. Delivery wasn’t even expensive considering, and it was outside London. I received a picture of the recipient with the cake and it was true to the displayed online picture. CakesToday in every sense!!! Grateful

Very good service, friendly person taking the order very efficient, driver was friendly delivering the cake I had two texts telling me roughly when the cake would arrive. Ordered it a day early for child’s birthday party was exactly as the picture tasted fresh and everybody at the party commented on the “amazing cake” so I would definitely recommend and use this company again

Watch out!
I attempted to order a 10” round birthday cake for my sons birthday ( fir 8-10 people a few days before. We decided on a Victoria sponge with fresh cream, strawberry jam and white fondant icing. I was quoted fir the cake including £7 delivery charge, even though as they could only give a 12 hour delivery window they advised us to take delivery the day before his birthday when I advised 8pm was too late for delivery on the day. I advised I would check the message icing colour and delivery date with my family and get back to them. I tried to call back but no answer. The company called me The next day to complete the order. The salesperson advised me to take a square cake of the same size. I said okay and asked if they could please take my payment over the phone. The operator came back and gave me the amount but it has increased by approximately £10 from the night before. The delivery charge had also increased from 7 to £10 even though the same date and address. When I questioned the cake price snd delivery Ivwas told it was because zi had changed my mind to a square cake. I asked to be changed back to a round cake for the same price and date I had been originally quoted.
I wax then told the cake wax now and extra £7 and delivery was still £10 and said cubit was a body thing zi should perhaps have the smaller 8”cake!
At that point I was completely fed up and distrustful and decided not to continue. I have had 2 I velueve golliw up texts and have not answered.
Very unsatisfactory snd a waste of my time and effort!

Change your operators instructions. I understand your calls are recorded. Maybe you should take a daily random selection to check on what’s being said and the techniques used in sales. After all it is your companies reputation and business, customers font like to be treated this way!

Having been let down at the very last minute by a local bakery from whom I had ordered a 21st birthday cake for my daughter I called Cakes Today in a complete panic at 9pm the day before the birthday… the staff there were so kind, helpful and understanding and got a cake out to her the following afternoon. So crisis averted !

Last minute order dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner with a prompt delivery by a courteous driver. Pleased with the cake and extras.
