On picture day Hillgrove HS
On picture day, our grandson came home very disappointed in the process. The photographer didn't even take time to let him smile. His picture is a half smile. She didn't even let him know she was taking the picture. I would expect more from a professional photographer. Would not recommend and unfortunately you don't have a choice with school pics. Will also let the school know how bad it was.
Very very disappointed
Very very disappointed, no one answers the customer service line. Robot AI has 2in wait time. The booking process is brutally long and they hide at High School portrait session for seniors. Bad choice HS!
Pricing is not transparent
Pricing is not transparent! It was very difficult to find pricing information. I feel like it is deceptive and they take advantage of families.
I would give a zero if possible
I would give a zero if possible. Sent senior drape pics but will send cap and gown later??? Why? Very expensive. Picture were not even good quality.
Prices are insanely high
Prices are insanely high, the way the website is set up kinda tricks you in buying stuff you don't need in order to buy the picture that you actually want. They charge $7.99 SHIPPING for pictures! Called customer service to ask for a promo code, called lasted more than 20min all for saying they didn't have any promo code at this time. Total RIP-OFF. I hope my son's school changes this supplier!
If there was a 0 star
If there was a 0 star, i would give that. I totally got scammed on this and I believe most , maybe all parents get duped into buying form this is because doing it for their kids. I hadnt seen it was a 1.3 rated. The pricing they gave me when i reached the studio was so confusing and all the person was trying to do was tell me in circles but not divulging the real price. So they send you a portfolio and expect you to come back in person and return or else they charge you $250. Now all said and done, as we all do, for our kid, we bite the bullet and buy the package, BUT the worst is that the photographs are so BAD that my 12yr old will click better photographs than this one. So AVOID them IF YOU CAN !! What i am surprised is How did the school allow to have a contract with them seeing their 1.3 rating ? Something not right.
Cady false advertisement
Hi, I am highly disappointed due to the fact CADY did not edit my daughter picture. Yes I PAID for the wrinkles to be taken out of the oversize drape that was placed on my daughter due to CADY not having a size small. The drape left a huge wrinkle down the center of the front drape causing her pictures to look like she has split breast instead of flat in the front. Its wrinkles at the shoulders of the drape. CADY did not provide great services and I had to pay out of my pockets to remove the wrinkles that could have been avoided if the proper size drape was used in the pictures. I was very specific about the wrinkles and hairline watermark needed to be remove which it was not. I had to go un select my daughter yearbook picture because the issue has not been resolved.
Here's the deal
Here's the deal. The pictures are great and we purchased the elite package as I wanted to have my daughter's hair and makeup done. It was not unreasonably priced. What was unreasonable was the price of the photos. They won't sell individual digital images so you have to buy them ALL if you want them. The price of all the digital images is $1799.99 plus tax. So be aware.
Customer Experience Feedback
Customer Experience Feedback
Our experience with Cady was overwhelmingly negative, turning what should have been a memorable milestone for my child into a traumatic and disappointing event.
Lack of Communication and Accommodations
First and foremost, the lack of communication and willingness to accommodate our family's needs was unacceptable. As a split-parent household, we were never given the option or the information necessary for both parents to have a separate photo session or purchasing opportunity. The most critical failure in communication, however, was not informing us that we would be required to purchase photos at the time of the session, and that any unpurchased images would be destroyed. This policy was never disclosed at any point during the scheduling process or prior to the photo session itself.
After discovering this, I immediately requested to speak with a manager, hoping for a solution. Unfortunately, the manager was unwilling to make any accommodations. We even offered to pay for a second viewing session so that my child’s other parent could select their own photos, but this request was denied. This refusal to work with us, even when we offered a solution that would generate additional revenue for Cady, felt punitive and unnecessarily rigid, and it left us with a feeling of being held hostage by the company.
Unfair Pricing and Lack of Transparency
Secondly, the pricing structure is both unreasonable and completely lacking in transparency. The costs were not disclosed until after the photo session had already taken place, leaving us feeling pressured and taken advantage of. The lowest point of entry for a product was an astounding $179 for just two photos. The cost of a USB flash drive with all the images was an exorbitant $799. These prices are not only inappropriate for senior photos but were deliberately withheld until it was too late for us to make an informed decision. The pricing should be clearly and prominently shared with clients before any services are rendered. It's ridiculous that my child's senior photos cost more than my own wedding photos.
In the end, I feel that Cady's practices are predatory. The company deliberately creates a situation where parents are emotionally invested after the photos are taken and then leverages that emotion to force them into purchasing overpriced products under a tight deadline, all while holding the child’s memories for ransom.
I will not recommend Cady to anyone and will actively share my experience with other parents to encourage them to seek a transparent and fairly priced photographer.
Way Overpriced & Inexperienced Photographers
Zero stars! Do not recommend. Some of the photographers for my daughter seemed to be in training. Photo shoot took tooo long - 3 hours with some wait time in between each scene. The cherry on top is the OUTRAGEOUS pricing. Complete and total rip off. They charge ~$1100 for the digitals (including cap and gown). No prints no nothing. They also spam you like crazy with a bunch of emails and text messages. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
A Polished Experience at an Excessive Price
To begin, I want to recognize the positives. The studio setup was impressive, modern, well-organized, and clearly designed to make students feel confident and special. The added services like professional hair and makeup, as well as the option for both in-studio and off-site destination shoots included in the higher photo session package, are definite strengths of CADY’s offerings. The overall production quality was excellent, and the photographers and makeup artists were professional and engaging.
That said, I ultimately chose not to purchase any additional photos because I feel CADY’s pricing is excessive and not family-friendly. It was disappointing to learn that the video reel they put together for parents couldn’t be purchased on its own. They made it so you had to commit to an expensive package to get it. This lack of flexibility in pricing and photo packages feels more like a high-pressure sales strategy than a service built around the needs of families.
What concerns me most is how heavily CADY’s model plays on the emotions of parents. By marketing their services around once in a lifetime milestones like graduations and then offering payment plans, they create an environment that encourages overspending. In many cases, this may exploit lower income families who feel compelled to make financial sacrifices just to preserve memories of their child.
I believe memories should be affordable and accessible to all families, not treated as luxury purchases. While the quality of your work is strong, the business approach feels more focused on maximizing revenue than supporting families during meaningful moments.
Getting a child’s once in a lifetime pictures taken professionally should be an affordable option to all parents, not just some.
Misleading, Unprofessional, and Zero Accountability – Don’t Waste Your Time or Money
At first, I truly thought everything was going well. I was led to believe from the beginning that this would be a personalized experience—that I would have access to all of my daughter’s photos and be able to choose the images we wanted before anything was edited. That turned out to be completely false.
Not only did they cancel the original school photo session twice—despite my daughter paying a $40 session fee—but I had to be the one to reschedule and move her session to the studio because of their failure to follow through. That fee should be refunded immediately.
Then came the biggest disappointment: the photo they selected for us was one of my daughter with her back turned. She took multiple poses, yet we were only given 10 edited images, and we were not allowed to view or choose from any of the other pictures taken during her session. When I asked about it, I was told they choose the pictures they want to use, and customers are not allowed to see or select any others. That directly contradicts what I was told when I paid—that the choice would be mine.
To add insult to injury, my support ticket was closed without any resolution. No explanation. No accountability. Just silence.
This was supposed to be a cherished moment for my daughter and me, and instead, it’s been a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. I will be informing every school I work with—and have worked with—about how this company misrepresents itself and treats paying customers.
Do not trust the promises. Do not waste your money. Go elsewhere if you want to be respected as a customer.
Studio out of town, Pictures overpriced and low quality.
The studio was out of town, and did not offer equal opportunity for pictures to all students. The quality of photos was low at best and they are overpriced. So disappointed that our school went with them. I got no senior pictures.
It was very efficient and they gave…
It was very efficient and they gave amazing pictures
The price on the packages are too high
The price on the packages are too high, I called to get some Cap and Gown pictures, and turns out they only keep records for one year. so all is lost. They take advantage of the sentiment for the student and special moment. it is a good thing that the school move on from them and found another company. because tCady truly is horrible.
Over Promises. Under Delivers.
I joined CADY as a Business Development Representative excited to represent a reputable school photography company in my hometown of Miami. I was especially enthusiastic about being the new face of senior photography and was assured that a studio would be opened in a safe, convenient, and appealing location — something I communicated confidently to schools across the region. After more than six months of outreach and relationship-building, I was shocked to learn that the proposed studio location was far from what had been promised. Instead, the address being included in school bids was in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami — ranked #4 in crime — situated next to a gun shop, liquor store, and a dirt lot used as parking. This location was neither safe nor acceptable for students, families, or school staff. This felt not only like a betrayal of trust — both mine and the schools’ — but also a strategic misrepresentation. The "Miami studio" I had been confidently selling to schools was never truly under consideration. I later learned that the real plan was to funnel students to a Miramar location or conduct sessions on school campuses, which was never disclosed to me during the hiring process or initial onboarding. Despite my dedication, once I gave notice of my resignation, I was asked not to return and was denied the opportunity to complete my two-week notice professionally. Additionally, employees are required to sign a non-compete agreement that restricts working for another school photography company for three years, making it difficult for professionals to continue in their field. To make matters worse, I was not the first to face such issues — I was reportedly the fourth or fifth representative in just two years for the Miami market. In my experience, CADY has not demonstrated a true understanding of the unique needs of Miami’s schools or communities, which ultimately hurt the very relationships I worked so hard to build.
way overpriced and misleading when…
way overpriced and misleading when buying packages, they stated ALLA INDIVIDUAL PICTURES in the package and yet they give you 1 picture 1 PICTURE FOR $80 really?
Overpriced & scummy
Overpriced photos outweigh the few benefits this company offers. They take advantage on the sentimentality felt by parents when getting their child’s senior photos, roping them into $200+ packages. Awful experience, should not be required by any school or district for yearbook photos. Do not pay for their packages. Wait until they give you the previews with the watermarks, screenshot and put it through a watermark remover AI. These frauds deserve none of the money they “make”.
Flawed ordering system!
Flawed ordering system!! IF YOU WANT TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT YOUR ORDER GOOD LUCK - YOULL BE SENT TO AN OVER SEA ANSWERING SERVICE WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER TO ADDRESS/ RESOLVE YOUR ISSUE - INSTEAD THEY WILL SUBMIT AN EMAIL TO THE PERSON WHO CAN AND YOU THEN HAVE TO WAIT FOR A CALL BACK. MY ISSUE - THE ORDERING IS FLAWED.
I received and email to put in a order.
I placed the order but noticed it had my daughter dad (ex) as the account holder YET the email link was sent to my email account. - ODD -
I corrected the address that I want the pictures sent to. BUT was not able to change the name SOOO it was addressed to my ex.
THEN. my package came with a digital photo and video - THAT was sent to HIM and in order for me to have access to it, HE NEED to call - then they would need to submit a ticket then have that ticket go out... BIG ISSUE - we aren't on talking bases so now he has the digital photo/ video that I PAID FOR. MAIN FLAW was that I was not able to change/ input the email address AND I was not able to change he name my photos are addressed to YET... The email I received to purchase pictures was sent to my email BUT was linked to his account.
Unresponsive
I'm concerned that despite paying for the yearbook, the photographer is fully booked and unresponsive, leaving our son without a picture to commemorate his year with classmates. As a parent, this is a significant keepsake. I hope the coordinator, admin, and administrators can revisit their process to ensure all students are included in future yearbooks.
