Been using them for 10 years. It's simple to buy and sell from them and would recommend them. My only criticism is you can't take physical delivery of small quantities, i.e. 1 oz coins.

The communication was excellent and…
The communication was excellent and fast. I however, was not aware that although the payments are made in £ sterling however, refunds are generated from the US banks and a bank charges are incurred if money is deposited from another bank account that is not registered. This is not my experience with other trading websites.

You are right – we only allow users to deposit from a single linked bank account. This both helps us meet our anti-money laundering obligations but, importantly, also helps protect your account from fraud.
If a user makes a deposit from a bank account other than their linked account, they can choose to either open another BullionVault account and link the second bank account to it or we can bounce those funds back to their bank account through the banking system. Unfortunately, the banks charge us for this service. Our fee for bouncing back funds from an unlinked bank account is denominated in dollars, as shown on our published Tariff.

Easy to use, secure, cheap to maintain.
I've had a Bullionvault account for some fourteen years. I find the interface easy to use and it seems to me to be the easiest and best way of buying (and selling) gold. The site is secure, and user-friendly. Gold should generally be seen as a long-term investment, not usually a way to make a 'quick buck'. The costs of maintaining your gold holding through Bullionvault are agreeably small.
