No Best-By Dates Anywhere & Horrific Customer Service

I purchased this sympathy gift tower for a family whose relative was dying, and I needed to have an appropriate gift.

My biggest concern was that I could not find a single visible expiration, “Best By,” or “Use By” date anywhere: not on the outer packaging, not on the individual gift boxes, and NOT a single one even after I reluctantly opened the sealed tower and inspected the food items themselves. For a gift consisting of perishable foods such as cookies, popcorn, pretzels, candy, etc., I find that completely unacceptable. I have no way to know if the items received were freshly packed, had been sitting in a warehouse for an extended period of time, or had been previously returned and re-shipped. It seemed highly unusual that a gift containing perishable food would not have a single visible expiration or Best By date anywhere on the packaging

There was also a smaller concern that the ribbon was not affixed the way it was on the website, and it took a bit of effort to put it on without breaking the plastic underneath.

I contacted the seller immediately and gave them every opportunity to make this right. I explained my situation, offered multiple reasonable resolutions, and was told they would get back to me after they “completed their review”. I sent photos and a detailed, respectful, professional note.

Despite repeated follow-ups on my end, I received no additional timely follow-up response or resolution. After many days, I finally received an exasperating and in my opinion, deceptive note, telling me that the expiration dates were on the individual items and that I should freeze everything if I don’t think I could consume within seven days. First of all, I couldn’t find a single date on ANY product inside the boxes.

Secondly, nowhere on the website is there any suggestion that someone should have to disassemble the gift tower, open up the boxes with risk of destroying them, and trying to freeze contents like popcorn and cookies and pretzels (which frankly, I don’t think we would have a good result, even if you did), and certainly if I’m sending a sympathy basket, no one is likely to do any of that!!

Profit driven companies with no regard to their consumers should not be in business in 2026. There are plenty of other gift items from reputable places. I highly recommend you seek those out!

The complete lack of expiration info and poor presentation upon receipt, combined with the seller’s failure to provide timely customer service during such a difficult and time-sensitive situation, left me deeply disappointed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product or this seller. To the contrary, I’d strongly recommend you avoid.

Order Number 6210894 basket to be delivered by the 19th of December. This was to an important customer of mine. Emailed on the 19th because I was told by his spouse they never received it. The response is as follows. Hi Lisa,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We can ship one today and have it delivered on Monday.

I explained to the recipient it would be there Monday and apologized.

Follow up to find it was never delivered and looked like an idiot to this professional. I again contacted them to get this response the 26th.

The replacement order has shipped and is scheduled to be delivered on the 27th. We sincerely apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused.

I sent a copy of my order to this manager showing the date I ordered to prove I am not in her opinion just trying to CYA.
I cannot recommend this company to anyone. And will not use them in the future with my business.

Never again! I ordered gift baskets for family members from this 'company' 10 days before Christmas. Having not heard a thing from family members, I double checked. The arrival date is Friday Jan 2. What a disappointment! And when I call in all I get is a customer support lady, not in the USA. She doesn't deserve the brunt of my anger. Unclear if this company is going to compensate me for their failings. It's not about the money, it's about trusting a company which promised to get the gift baskets delivered before Christmas and failed miserably! Nuff said.

It's so delicious! From sweet baked goods to savory crackers, the assortment was amazing. It's far superior to the usual stale gift basket fare. I'll definitely place another order.

Ordered a chocolate gift basket. I received pretzels , popcorn, cookies you drive over and wouldn't break , mixed salted nuts. NOT a SINGLE piece of chocolate to be found . All told what I received could be purchased at the grocery store for 8 bucks. Severely disappointed amd disgusted with this company. Customer service was zero help . I tossed everything I received in the garbage . Lesson learned . Do not use this company for anything.

We rec'd a BB gift basket for Christmas, and the main feedback of all that tried it was "nasty." Seriously, do not waste your money on this company. Even things like caramel corn, which we all love, we threw away because it just doesn't taste good. You know it's bad when twenty-something, sugar-loving guys who eat EVERYTHING wouldn't eat any of the offerings in this gift basket once they tried a bite.

Two baskets ordered for delivery to two different addresses on Dec 31 as New Year's gifts to my daughters. Neither was delivered. Broadway Basketeers blames UPS. Bull. I've shipped and received dozens and dozens of packages with UPS thought out the holidays with zero problems. I will never trust Broadway Basketeers again.

My son sent this basket ($49) as a Mothers Day gift.
What a paltry,cheap selection! All boxes with scanty

It's a shame haven't reading the reviews before purchasing. The Business received the payment on Apr 22, today is May 01 and I do not have even the tracking number. They did not inform they were closed for on week. Be careful with this kind of services.

Ordered on Monday Feb 19. Paid extra for Thursday delivery. It’s now Friday has not arrived. Tried calling and they close at 2pm on Fridays. What else but 1 star? Do not order from this company. Must be a mom and pop operation. Need my 111 dollars returned. Find another company to send a condolence gift for a death in family. These people FAILED.

Ordered plenty in advance for a gift to be delivered on October 17th for my mother's 80th birthday. The item did not arrive until late in the evening on October 18th. Customer support (email only) blamed it on UPS and said they would 'talk internally about how to improve processes.' That didn't help me at all. Customer service was supposed to give me a personal call - they never did. They only refunded the shipping fee. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you need your gift to arrive on a certain date. Poor customer service. Why have specific delivery dates if you can't guarantee arrival???? Will NEVER use this company again. Beware.

You need better tasting snacks the ones I have tried out of the basket were terrible and it took to long get here and they wouldn't let me cancel my order. I will never buy again.

Ordered basket standard shipping with delivery date 11/22, tracking showed item wasn’t even handed over to shipper by 11/23, Basketeers stated they should receive it by Dec 1….. not 11/22, but by 12/1. Their standard shipping means they’ll get sometime within a 1 week projected window… Every other gift company I ever dealt with delivered on the chosen date. So use these guys if it’s OK for your gift to arrive sometime, whenever…

Very poor service. I selected a delivery date on purchasing. They switched it, without notice, to a week later. Then just denied it via their "customer service" chat. Also BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT THIS COMPANY. I wish I had read the real reviews on Amazon before I trusted them wit $130.

Amazing service! Our contact was hugely helpful and very quick to respond to queries. The ordering and delivery process was seamless and the 20+ team members we sent baskets to absolutely loved them! We will definitely be ordering again :D

Ordered a peanut butter cup cheese cake to be delivered yesterday for my granddaughters birthday. It was not delivered as promised and there is no way to contact Broadway Basketeers.

I wanted to buy a kosher gift for my neighbor. I found Broadway Basketeers by Googling "kosher gifts." The gift my neighbor received was lovely and I thought the price was very reasonable. I will certainly buy from them again.

I received this basket as an Aniversary/Valentine’s Day gift and THEY SENT THE WRONG BASKET! To make matters worse, they sent a basket with HALF OF THE FOODS IM ALLERGIC TO! Oh and the cute note he sent was printed on the invoice which was on the outside of box where you cut to open, so the note got all ripped up. This company is a joke and I would never order from them after receiving a gift like this. My boyfriend was extremely upset since we are long distance and had a hard time getting in contact with the company to get a refund because they messed up completely. If it was possible to give zero or negative stars, I would! BUYERS BEWARE

We ordered the large fruit basket which included a potted flowering plant and a candy and nut plate. Ordering was easy and the candy and nut plate was nice and delivered by Broadway Basketeer arrived on time. The fruit and flower basket which cost significantly more was not delivered and after complaining 2x, finally delivered but the fruit was not good quality and the basket was flimsy. Would not order from them again.
