Send what they feel like rather than what you order
They sent a different item and I had ordered what I wanted from them specifically as they said that had it, which they hadn't, and sent an inferior alternative. I asked for my money back and I would return the incorrect item but they have never responded. I think they are shysters and will certainly never order from them again.

Bunch of jokers
This chemist used to be very good, usually order in the morning and delivered the next day but the last couple of times I've used them it's taken an age to even be looked at, the last order I did with them spent 3 weeks on their system I had several automated emails giving me weekly updates then I get an email saying order rejected and cancelled, yea ok so you make me wait 3 weeks send out numerous emails apologizing then go and cancel it, great costumer service I certainty won't be using them again and will make sure I can spread the word so others don't get caught up with this company, they have a 2 star rating for a reason because they are bloody awful.

Dear Mr James. We apologise for the experience you have received. If you can privide an order number we can look into this for you (send it by email). Just to make you aware we are a multi seller platform, we are like Amazon for pharmacies so you will get different experiences with different sellers. We are also one of the main sellers so if you can give us the details we can check this for you. Please do email us and we will happily give you a discount voucher for your next order from us. Once again we do apologise and happy to look into what went wrong as you have every right to be annoyed if it was cancelled after 3 weeks and this is not the service we expect from anyone selling on our platform.
No delivery after 3 weeks
Ordered nearly 3 weeks ago, and still not received my order. After constant messaging on live chats and phoning almost daily, finally got them to dispatch part of my order. The other items they keep saying are coming, but now I have asked for a refund but still not heard anything back. I was told 2 weeks ago that one item was out of stock, so I asked for a refund but still haven't received anything. At this point, I just want the refund for the missing items, but looks like I'm gonna need to do a chargeback.

Hi. We have emailed you a number of times and you have not replied and you seem to have a number of emails you are emailing from but not replying to. You have ordered 5 packs of an item and our pharmacist from the pharmacy you ordered from is asking why you need 5 packs. We are a multi seller platform and you did not order from us directly but our third party seller and they told us without a reply they cannot send out so please explain why you have ordered 5 packs. Also give us a correct email address as without correct details we cannot contact you. Also your phone number does not work either. If you do not reply we will cancel and refund and not sell to you again unfortunately, as all details provided have to be accurate.

Scammers, kept money for weeks, couldn’t supply product
Same story as others, kept my money for weeks, then refunded as “they didn’t want to keep me waiting any longer”. Although I was refunded after a few weeks, i lost significantlyon the FX as ordering from overseas. Scammers for sure. They couldn’t source my product but it’s still for sale on the website. When I threatened to post this review if they didn’t remove the product, they said “actually we can source it now, just reorder” and never followed up with the payment link they promised. Do not risk it.
It was a product I hadn’t been able to find that I needed for my son’s medication. I should have known it was too good to be true. Do not trust these people

Thank you for your message and feedback, though we must clarify that the concerns raised are not accurate. A scammer does not issue refunds — the fact that we refunded your payment demonstrates our legitimacy and commitment to our customers.
The product is currently in stock, and we would be happy for you to place a new order and receive it. Unfortunately, we have recently experienced issues with Royal Mail returning some international parcels, so we have temporarily suspended international shipping until we can identify why certain items are not reaching their destination.
As stated on our website, international orders are placed at the customer’s own risk with regard to customs clearance. However, we have found that despite agreeing to this at the time of purchase, some customers are unhappy when delays or returns occur and still request refunds.
I would order again from them - a sincere team
I give this team 5* for sincerity and their valiant attempts to get the product I ordered to me on time - with success at last. I marked down 1 star just because it took so long. They responded very well to a phone call, and explained why the product was delayed, offering me a chance to cancel. I hung in there because we communicated on the phone well. The product arrived later than hoped but just in time for our project. I would definitely order again from them, but maybe not something I needed right away, as I suspect for some things they don't hold a lot of stock and can be let down by their suppliers.

Shocking company
Ordered on 21st July . No sign of order just automated emails . Messaged them on website several days ago no response . Replied to the last automated email several days ago again no response . None existent customer service . Now faced with having to put a claim into my credit card company for a refund as no goods and no refund despite requesting one in writing twice Avoid this company at all costs . ( order no 404106)

I have placed an order a long time ago and they keep on sending me messages about the order being delayed.
I will report this to the Ombudsman and ask for my refund now.

Hi. Please provide an order number. If you are getting emails it means its not been 10 working days and you have ordered a centrally stocked 10 working day item. We are not scamming you and if you want a refund we are more than happy to refund you immediately. We are a professional business. Please use the proper channels when contacting us. If you want a refund because you have misread information on our website we will still happily refund you.
We have now found your order and it was due to be delivered end of this week or latest early next week but we will cancel and initiate a refund now as this is what you seem to want. You did not email us and decided to leave a negative review which is your right but we have an obligation to make it clear to anyone that we respond to reviews very quickly and do whatever we can to explain the situation for people who like to read reviews and make purchases from new websites based on reviews. We process thousands of orders and only the negative ones go out of their way to leave a review. All the information is on our website and occasionally their could be delays, but overall we provide a brilliant service and we are the only pharmacy in the UK with over 100,000 items. We will cancel and refund your order.
Do not rely on these people who almost operate as scammers
A few days after making the order and receiving a confirmation, they sent an email saying that they weren't able to fulfill my order and so cancelled it. Do not rely on these people who almost operate as scammers. They don't have your product in stock, they only source it after you make your purchase, so who knows whether they'll actually be able to get it for you.

Thank you for your feedback but please note we are not scammers and we have clearly stated under the none stock items that they are centrally stocked and occasionally orders may need to be cancelled if stock doesnt arrive once we order. Scammers will steal your money but we are an honest an legitimate business and as soon as an order is cancelled its refunded with no hassle. We are the only pharmacy in the UK with over 100,000 products so due to the amount of products we are selling unfortunately we do have to sometimes cancel the none medical items which we don't always stock, hence the up to 10 working days delivery timeframe. Avoid them. I paid for an item and was expecting it within 2 weeks. They kept updating me saying they were processing the order. Then I get a message to say the order has been cancelled. Still waiting for the refund!

Hi. Can you please provide an order number as it seems like you may have ordered an item that's up to 10 working days and in such cases you won't get a tracking number until the item has been dispatched.
Worse than useless, absolute waste of time.
Only giving one star because I can't give none. It took two weeks for them to tell me the item I ordered wasn't available! Am I missing something? If it's not available, don't advertise it! Of course, my money has been sitting in their bank account, earning them interest for two weeks - is this an 'interest skimming' scam?

For our household goods it clearly says up to 10 working days because we order on demand and sometimes our suppliers let us down. We have no interest in having your money in our account and no interest in offering a bad service and losing sales. We have thousands of sales and most have no issues and are repeat customer's and have never been accused of earning interest. shocking waste of time
shocking! What a waste of time. Order some dark grey Soudall cement 4 weeks ago, said it was in stock. Now, after numerous messages, basically saying the same thing "preparing the order" they tell me that they have cancelled it and refunded me. Total pain in the backside. Waste of time!

Poor ordering and delivery service
Placed order 25th January however after 12 working days still no delivery. I had to keep contacting them to find out what was happening. One item they said that they were waiting for after two order requests ( of which when I contacted the brand customer service dept they told me it had been discontinued)and another item was now stopped(however I had to place an order directly with the brand website and pay separate postage charges) now that I have requested a full and immediate refund of my order. However the really annoying thing was as a unpaid carer for my vulnerable and housebound mother she relies on me to purchase items for her and a few of the items that I had ordered were toiletries that she was needing plus they had wasted my valuable time as well and added more expense in ordering direct from the brand website at least the waiting time for my order from the brands directly are handled more efficiently and professionally. All along British chemist were saying that they were processing my order. I will not be placing any more orders in the future from them even with their 10% off discount offer.

Products still not received and no communication
I ordered products on 11th Jan (almost 4 weeks ago) and they still haven't arrived. I can't find any email contact to find out where my order is. The last email I have just says order processing. I'm not sure if this company is legit or not.
Update: I have emailed you but no response, but I do get a quick response on trust pilot. My order number is 381346. Could I please have the products or a refund please.
So, following your recent reply I have checked my account and yes, I do have a refund but no cancellation email (checked my spam folder) and also no reply to my email sent yesterday. Perhaps you could put more energy into your customer service and reply to customer emails rather than updating Trust Pilot???
Also if an item is not in stock why have it available on your website?? Reading other reviews it seems this is a common occurrence. Thank you for wasting so much of my time.

Our email is also mentioned and we also have an instant chat feature. Please email us on info@britishchemist.co.uk or call us on 020 8004 0895 and provide your order number and someone will immediately advise you on your order status. Please have a look at our website, scroll down to the bottom where it says contact us and you will see that it clearly displays your contact number.
Further to your edit I can see that this has already been cancelled and refunded, please check your email and your junk mail and you will see that you received a cancellation email on the 28/01/2025, please check your account and you will see a full refund.
To answer you we do apologiswwe if an email was not sent but we can see on our system its been sent so not sure whats gone wrong as its all automated. We get thousands of emails per day as we sell over 80,000 products online and unfortuantely we take a few working days to reply to emails but always strive to reply as soon as we can. To answer your question about availability, as we also have retails stores, unfortunately sometimes we think we have an item, but as its bought from store it, falsely shows as in stock. We do apologise for this and we are working on finding a way to have more accurate data. Please also note that the people who leave bad reviews are becasue of a bad experience but we have thousands of happy customers who do not leave reviews. Either way we are extremely sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate all feedback and we will work to improve customer service.
