I loved their lineup, but very unreliable. The last straw I was in the middle of something and it kept asking for my userid and password but would not accept it. I tried unloading and reloading on my Apple TV device multiple times. Reach out to support but same thing kept happening I got so frustrated I cancelled my subscription. It was the most glitchy streaming app I have ever used!

I am extremely frustrated with the reliability of this service.
Your emails repeatedly instruct customers to contact support via a “blue chat box in the lower right corner,” yet there is no chat box visible on the site. In addition, the site itself is currently not functioning. I am unable to log in, and the system appears to be down entirely.
This is not the first time this has happened.
When customers are paying for a subscription, basic access and uptime are expected. If the platform is unavailable, there should be clear communication and accountability, including consideration of refunds or service credits for downtime.
If this happens again, I will cancel my subscription.

First, during my subscription, they created a tiered level and wanted more money for me to access my fave shows so I went online with the app and canceled. But it didn't take. I got the notice of the credit card charge and immediately canceled, but they would not cancel effective that day, they canceled effective the next year. They refuse to publish a customer service number. In my opinion, they are defrauding customers. Do not do business with them.

Worked OK for a couple of years - now doesn't.
On Native LG TV - stuck on 'not available, please retry'.
On Apple TV 4K - 'Britbox is not available in your location'.
Really? No available in New Jersey?

Customer Support seems largely incapable and ill informed. Suggestions include changing my ISP!!!!!! Not accepting anything is 'on them' despite every other streaming service working on my network.......

Buyers beware. I thought this would be a nice gift for elderly people. Won’t allow me to cancel prevent auto renewal of the gift on my end. I’m supposed to ask the person I’m giving it to to go into settings and disable it.

I am a loyal -correction WAS a loyal britbox follower, never again, I had the worst ever custo=mer support experience Ive ever had today and will neve rever use britbox again, I bought a years subscription for britbox, then all of a sudden theres another level to gain access to the next episodes of series , NO number to speak to human to chat line it is, got noqwhere and agent ended up cancelling my subscription when I DIDNT TELL THEM TOO, GOT SUPERVISOR WHO BASICALLY WAS USELESS, BBC-IF THIS IS WHO YOU EMPLOY --YOU NEED TO BE LIQUIDATED-YOU JUST DONT CARE-DISGRACEFUL!

I've had annual subscriptions over the years a few times. When the subscription is over, I haven't been renewed. This year, they renewed my subscription for full price without notifying me (it's in the fine print they say), charging me a full year without the ability to cancel. Then they added more charges to watch the latest shows, delayed a full month before regular customers can watch. The image quality has also decreased. This is a dishonest, money-grubbing enterprise. Stay away unless you enjoy being ripped off on multiple levels.

TV viewers beware. I signed up for Britbox, no questions asked by them. Now the channel won't load and Britbox customer support now says my TV is too old (2017). OK, cancel my subscription but Britbox says no refund on monies paid in advance. Their response was "Enjoy your viewing", which I don't have, through May, 2026. Nice money grab Britbox. Oh, and you can't actually speak to anyone. You have to text.

After paying for a yearly subscription I've discove18082025red the series they advertise is not available to me because I live in Australia. And of course they say T & C's means no refund for the 9 months I have left. Buyer be careful where you live as it seems this part of the world can't view certain things advertised.

Et eksempel er 'Red king', hele serien er rød, alt er rødt og rødligt. Alle serier/indhold har et slør over sig, linier er uskarpe, alt i blurret.

Jeg elsker engelske krimiserier og jeg ville SÅ meget have et britbox abonnement, men jeg KAN ikke udholde at se på det l**t, det er blasfemi at ødelægge producenter og skuespillers arbejde og samtidig opkræve sagesløse kunder, penge for det!

Had issues with the Britbox app suddenly not working and spoke to Allen Earle M. who never offered a solution to my issue and kept trying to get me off the chat despite still not having access to any content. A Week later Elise P reached out asked me if issue was ever resolved by this time i had cancelled my account. Apparently Britbox has enough subscribers and didn’t need me. Zero concern for their customers i had a subscription with them for years but the first time i had a problem that they couldn’t rectify in 30 seconds, it was reboot your tv, reinstall the app see ya! Yes, i’ll see you later Britbox.

Here’s what’s wrong with BritBox……the app is dreadful. Way out of date already. Shows are all over the place and difficult to find. Needs a complete overhaul.

Horrible company to deal with. Very hard to cancel with them for a terminal family member. They cannot find clients with name address and credit card number. Total disappointment. Never use again!

I have Britbox a long time now. Sometimes it's worth it, sometimes not like most of these streaming services
Recently, I received an unclear email and, in advertsntly, sign up for a year
I, immediately, tried to contact customer service to remain month to month
I explained several times that I needed to cancel the annual membership, that it was accidental
Repeatedly, I am told that I can revert to month to month AFTER the year membership
I have already been charged and will pursue it with my bank
After this terrible customer service, I will cancel the membership
Poor service loses customers

One of my daughters gave me Britbox today and I was a bit disappointed by the content but the main thing was that it sticks on my android box. I can’t use the letters A-Z to search for programs so would have to know the name of the program I wish to watch. Browsing is limited because of this problem.

Have subscribed to Britbox fairly consistently over the last several years (mostly through standalone, but also by Amazon and Roku). Initially it was a small streaming platform in the US that finally offered us the ability to see some of the good shows from the UK. Although choices were a bit limited they did send out periodic surveys regarding content and asking for input. Fast forward a few years and they have tons of content, but most of it is garbage. Few newer shows, tons of reality shows and stuff from the 1980s, lots of old garbage I can't imagine people would want to watch. I have been so disappointed that I now now only renew my membership to continue viewing new seasons of Shetland and Vera. I have found that PBS Passport is far superior in cost and has a huge variety of shows offered not just from the US and the UK but from countries across the globe.

Britbox har et domæne der hedder britbox .com/dk/ og det må betyde at det er streaming målrettet danske kunder. Har skrevet til dem om man kan være sikker på danske undertekster på al streaming.
De svarer at det kan man ikke. Det synes jeg er er et rigtigt dårligt udgangspunkt for at gå på det danske marked & har i første omgang valgt ikke at blive kunde.

I signed on for a trial with Britbox and cancelled my subscription before the trial ended, Britbox admit that this was done. But for the last four months they have been taking subscriptions from my account. After a lengthy correspondence they have announced that I shall have to sort it out with the bank!

Now there’s clear technical competition to review how streaming should be, BBC is simply by far the worst offering. Netflix, Prime, ITV Hub, Four, Now, Rakuten, YouTube all work with minimal technical hitches. I watch BBC with bated breath wondering how long until the spinning circle and then “Something went wrong....”. I’ve no bandwidth issues. Everything works except BBC. Dire.

I paid the annual fee for Britbox because it has all the old British comedies and murder mystery programs I enjoy.
5 weeks in, I suddenly can't get any programs working. Ridiculous. I bet they won't give me my money back now they have it either
